Really?? Is DCL the only cruise line that lets you do that? I could swear the others take it til the last night. But then, DCL is the only one to let us bring it onboard at the beginning of the cruise, too.

I know that a couple years ago we brought liquor onboard and took it back to our room with us. I think the only time they hold it until the end of the cruise is if you buy it from their onboard shop.

As a parent it still amazes me how awesome communication is in this day and age. How my parents survived knowing I had a few dimes in my pocket for emergencies, and hardly heard from me until I walked in the door...is amazing. I would go crazy not being able to get a hold of my kids, or knowing they could not just text, call or email!

Its just mind boggling sometimes.

Daily Activities - I'll be in Rockin Bar D just about every night, but time will be dependent upon what's scheduled. I think a daily DoD would be good to schedule, athough I won't be buying them. It would still be nice to know where to find some folks. Maybe at Signals? Or should we meet outside of the adult area?

If that is the bar near the Goofy pool you will find DH there every afternoon.......

I noticed that they also televised the WYD opening Mass at 2am this morning. They will present an encore at 12n, 9pm and midnight (EST). I do get EWTN with my cable provider, but if someone doesn't you can also watch a live feed from the website.

I tried to watch it last night (although I did DVR it!) but, I fell asleep. One of the parents emailed this morning and said that 18mins into the broadcast our group is shown in the bottom right corner -- they are carrying a TX flag & Papal flag. I do know that at times they will also have the Korea flag with them. SO, if you see a group with the TX, Papal & Korean flag... my kids are in that group! LOL!

I thought it was going to be after the drill. With a group this size maybe it should start at 2pm and continue until the sailaway. There is no way all of us can say hello to each other in a half an hour, right. I know my girls will be in the pool after lunch and DW will be unpacking.

That would be my dh..... We always travel with our Passports not just our DL.....

Which is the best place to scuba dive?
Cabo San Lucas or Aruba?
Just curious.. we're trying to do some changes to our "plans" at those places- atleast one- for Jeff to be able to go scuba diving...... not sure which one I should change around for though.

What say ye scuba divers? Which is best in your opinion?

Without a doubt, hands-down, no comparison....ARUBA. Not nearly as much to see in Cabo.

Have the same name as someone that does ALOT of travel to the Middle East....... DH's name is quite unusual so, I find it hard to believe that someone with his exact name is a rug dealer but...dh googled (he wanted to know why he was on the watch list, also) and there he was! LOL!
We think it is quite odd since DH is an Officer in a Publicly owned corporation.... You have to have clearance to be an officer in a publicly owned corporation.....

Jeff is not a very bad person and I don't think his name sounds like one either. LOL although there are a LOT of people out there with our last name- even though it's not Smith. LOL

Neither is my husband and our name is nowhere close to being common...but we've been detained at Customs 3 times...held in a room with an armed guard even...because someone out there has the same name as my hubby's and is wanted. It's a freaking mess every single time and there isn't a darn thing we can do about it. Next time his passport is up for renewal, we're going to put his full name....first, middle, last...and pray that makes a difference.

But honestly, trust me...you will not have a problem with the credit card thing. Take it out of your head and don't worry!!

Patch Swap

So I made a decision in order to ensure the information was printed in the Pirate Navigator. The patch swap will be held on the second sea day. Thursday, August 21st at 9:30am at the Promenade Lounge. I hope all the swappers can make it.

If not swaps can be dropped off at participants rooms. Or if you drop the patches with me ahead of time I will try to swap them for you at the event and then get them to you.

I chose the Promenade Lounge as I figured if the girls wanted to do badge work or whatever they could probably stay in the Promenade lounge to do that after the swapping is over.

If you are interested in participating in the Patch swap please send me a PM.

That sounds great! So lets carry on the GS activities and have the badge work right after the patch swap! I'm guessing that would make it around 10:00 or 10:30.

Right now I have us all booked for Las Americas pool & beach getaway but since the escaping moms (or whatever they are called if I have that wrong- sorry!) are going there.. I might change that to only me going or Jeff & I and leave the kids on the ship. I dunno. It's kinda expensive just to swim on the beach for us to pay for all 5 of us. I'd be fine with leaving the kids on the ship at this port.... to be honest. And maybe it'd be better if BOTH of us weren't off the ship? I dunno. NOthing else at all interests us at this port. We're so OVER all the walking tours. LOL

This is correct....The Escaping Moms are going to do the Las Americas excursion. Of the two beach escapes, this one appears to have more to offer...including "facilities" and looks to be a nicer beach.
But we also plan on trying to get a look at some of the awesome old buildings in the city and do a little shopping.

Mine has done that, too, and it usually is because it overheated. And the darn thing is brand new basically. I ended up doing what you did....and after I recharged and turned it back on, it's okay.

Well why did they have to change just part of it? This messes up our plans. I really didn't intend to go off ahead of DH with my kids all alonesy..... and come back earlier than him (planned on being at the waterpark there together!)
sigh... if they changed us all it would have been fine- don't mind the time change, just changing SOME of us is a problem though.

We have 2 that are practically new (and can I just add that I HATE vista? I've come so close lately to just putting my old computer back over here that has ME- I love that thing..... but I'm just too lazy to switch it back LOL) and they both make this loud noise constantly if we're doing more than one browser- sounds like a VERY LOUD fan coming on.

Not a coffee drinker.....There is NEVER enough jewelry...Jewelry is an investment! I would like to get something for me and something for my mom (her birthstone) as a gift to her for helping with all the wedding stuff!

Yep, son is 10, daughter is 8! She just had a birthday in June.
Well they have us booked for signature swim (with DCL excursion) at 11am so I figured 11:15am would be fine. I think the DCL dolphin swim is closer, although it does say you have to take a bus or shuttle there. But the other person/other thread said it took about 20min to get there by taxi (white taxi= govt one and only cost $7 pp to get there, $5 pp to get back. I wonder why it's cheaper to get back? LOL)
So anyway I figure we'll make it if they are making sure everyone is making 11am for their excursions. right? hehe

Too bad we didn't book the same time. Maybe I should have planned on waterpark first and then dolphins. I dunno...... but what's done is done. LOL

We'll probably run in to you at the water park after your Dolphin Swim and before our Encounter. I am really getting excited about this place! I originally hadn't even considered doing a dolphin excursion because of the price and the ages of my two little ones, but then when I saw the other post about this place (and the fact that kids as young as 1 can participate), I decided to book it. I think we're actually going to keep this one a surprise from the kids until we get there!

But I wasn't looking for tiara stickers....I was just suggesting to Cheryl that since she mentioned looking on ebay for the stickers she was looking for, then in another post said she hadn't gotten her princess stuff, she could look on ebay for those items too.

Thanks Monica. I am just mad somone has the nerve to charge three times the amount for the stickers that I have seen in the stores here. I have two but I need about 18 more packages.
