M....as far as Mass time and location, DCL said in the most recent email they will provide that info to Fr. Mike. Hopefully, that will be prior to boarding, but they also said this info will be list in the DCL Navigator. So, maybe just put in our Navigator to check the DCL Navigator for time and location. Then, if Fr. Mike is given advanced notice, maybe you could edit it.

To M and Pamela.....thanks so much for taking this on!!! This is going to be such a tremendous help to all of us!!! :thumbsup2

I'm leaning towards leaving that out of the pirate navigator since we now know it will be in the regular navigator.

Counterproposal:

Sept. 1 8:30 a.m. - roll off the ship together. After two plus weeks of ice cream socials and drinks of day and unlimited food, have the cast member rolling you off the ship meet up with the rest of the cast members rolling the rest of the crew off the ship.....

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Gosh, I wish I was tech savvy enough to make the pirate smiley roll.

by being a very bad person, or having a similar name as a very bad person (e.g. Osama Bin Lader might have a problem....)
Jeff is not a very bad person and I don't think his name sounds like one either. LOL although there are a LOT of people out there with our last name- even though it's not Smith. LOL

Aruba

Hands down .... Anywhere in the caribbean is better diving then the pacific .....

pirate:
Thanks for the info!
Jeff probably knew that but he's not here for me to ask right now. LOL Besides he's never dived either place so what does he know. LOL
Okay that works out better anyway IF they hadn't changed our times (see previous post about them changing some of the times out of the 5 of us for seatrek/depalm island- so this might not work out like we'd planned!)

See I booked Jeff/Robert for seatrek & DePalm Island and us girls for Depalm island but they were at the same time! (12:30-5:30pm)
But I was thinking I'd change that to me and Robert doing seatrek- Jeff and the girls Depalm island but I was looking online and emailed about it- and Jeff can scuba dive from there. So I thought after we (me and Robert) did seatrek he could go off scuba diving and me and the kids would be fine without him at the water park (I just wouldn't be fine like walking around foreign places without him. I took the kids on the submarine while he scuba dived on the last cruise- DCL excursion on the submarine though).

BUT they changed the times! Now Jeff/Robert are still 12:30-5:30pm and they changed us girls Depalm island to 11:45am-4:45pm! I don't know why they did that.. why oh why? :(

I booked the dolphin adventure. cause my kids are older and my eldest daughter really would prefer the royal swim but since we're doing it as a family... I don't want to pay that much plus from watching the videos... that foot push thing would only be fun for HER, not everyone. I can just see a dolphin trying to foot push my big butt. LOL so shhhh no one tell her about the royal swim. The dolphin signature swim with DCL didn't do the foot push either. LOL Originally I was gonna book the dolphin trainer for a day with just me and eldest DD but that wasn't available and this is better anyway- now we ALL get to do it as a family thing. ;)
We booked 11am- that's the same time we have it booked thru DCL and that waterpark closes at 5pm so that gives us time afterwards to do that.

I had thought about booking the 11:15 time also, but I was worried about whether we'd make it there in time since we are scheduled to dock at 9:30. The discussion about port time vs. ship time had me confused! :confused3 So, I think we will head over there early and let the kids play at the water park until 2 pm, and hopefully, they won't be too tired to do their Dolphin Encounter! Did you see on the other thread that they mentioned about bringing money to purchase photos?

BTW, my son (and Shannon's) is also 10, and I have a daughter who's 8 (so does Shannon). Don't you also have a daughter who is around 8 years old?

Kim

aint that the truth! I'm already close to being an oompa loompa as it is! Boy won't I be after the cruise. geesh
(wait- not an oompa loompa.. although I'm short enough. I meant the blueberry girl you know the girl that balloons up like a blueberry? can't remember her name..... roll me outta there like that)

I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but are any of you doing any excursions at this port? DW and I are considering doing one here and leaving DD and DS in the kids club.

Yep, son is 10, daughter is 8! She just had a birthday in June. :)
Well they have us booked for signature swim (with DCL excursion) at 11am so I figured 11:15am would be fine. I think the DCL dolphin swim is closer, although it does say you have to take a bus or shuttle there. But the other person/other thread said it took about 20min to get there by taxi (white taxi= govt one and only cost $7 pp to get there, $5 pp to get back. I wonder why it's cheaper to get back? LOL)
So anyway I figure we'll make it if they are making sure everyone is making 11am for their excursions. right? hehe

Too bad we didn't book the same time. Maybe I should have planned on waterpark first and then dolphins. I dunno...... but what's done is done. LOL

Right now I have us all booked for Las Americas pool & beach getaway but since the escaping moms (or whatever they are called if I have that wrong- sorry!) are going there.. I might change that to only me going or Jeff & I and leave the kids on the ship. I dunno. It's kinda expensive just to swim on the beach for us to pay for all 5 of us. I'd be fine with leaving the kids on the ship at this port.... to be honest. And maybe it'd be better if BOTH of us weren't off the ship? I dunno. NOthing else at all interests us at this port. We're so OVER all the walking tours. LOL

That would be Violet Beauregarde.

We are big Willy Wonka/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fans! ;)

We are doing the Deluxe tour with DCL, but there are lots of people doing private tours with Mr. Emerald as well. These were organized by Paula (pbader), so I am not sure if she has closed the "sign ups" yet.

BUT they changed the times! Now Jeff/Robert are still 12:30-5:30pm and they changed us girls Depalm island to 11:45am-4:45pm! I don't know why they did that.. why oh why? :(

Sometimes it has to do with the tour operator changing the times and DCL has no control over it

If DCL does what cruise lines usualy do....they take it from you at the door and return it the night before...but maybe DCL does something different. :confused3

I brought wine on board in Spain last year. Just had the bottles in my backpack and nothing was said.

The bottles you buy from the duty free shop on ship are kept until the last day, but what you bring on at the port you can keep. You just have to drink it all, you can't take open bottles off the ship.

Proposal:

Drink of the Day meet - 3 pm, Signals, daily
Ice Cream Social - 1 pm, Scoops, daily

Like I said, there might not be a big crowd, very few will go every day, but it is a time/place where you are likely to run into a few people.

Sounds good to me....will you contact the printer to have it added?

To M and Pamela.....thanks so much for taking this on!!! This is going to be such a tremendous help to all of us!!! :thumbsup2

I must wholeheartedly agree with this comment. I know it is a LOT of work and I think you guys are great for doing this for all of us.

Is everyone still doing the cliff divers excursion? I'm wondering if we should bother paying that much after the reports of it from others. But then there really isn't anything ELSE to do with such a short, and early, time there! :(
Is everyone else still going to the cliff divers excursion thru DCL?

We are. If it is a total waste of money- Oh well! It is less for 4 of us than I sent on undergarments yesterday.:lmao:

We are all going. I have read extensively on Cruise Critic on the port of Colombia and I do not have any hesitation taking my 8 yo and 12 yo DD with us. I do not want to lose an opportunity to have my kids experience another country and continent.

Violet! You're turning violet, Violet!

"I want you to roll Ms. Beauregarde to the boat and take her to the juicing room at once."

Hmmmmm......the juicing room.....is there a DCL spa treatment like that? :rolleyes1

Everything also says you can't bring water/alcohol onboard. They don't really enforce it. We've never had a problem buying alcohol in port and bringing it onboard & I've never seen it as a problem on the Dis.
Sounds good to me. I don't know if we can carry as much as we want to bring! :rotfl:

I think the pic Monica gave me will work, but thank you so much for the offer!:)

I'm combining the roll call and FE exchange list into one color coded map and listing by deck, and an alphabetical index by DIS name.
You're welcome. And...BTW...you're awesome for putting together the roll call list with a deck map and everything. That's a lot of work! :worship:

Good morning everyone! I just realized last night that yesterday was my one month mark for the TOAL. A month from today dd and I will be wandering around DL! Got to get packing.

Had a computer glitch last night. Scared me to death. I thought my computer was crashing. :scared1: It wouldn't turn off! I had to unplug the power cord and let the battery drain. Tried it this morning and it worked fine. Hope it was just a one time thing!

Monica, I have a die cut of a tiara and a wand. When I get home tonight I'l cut one out and post a pic. If I remember it would be about 1 1/2"x 1".

Works for us. We have a bunch of patches. Thanks for organizing!

I did print out my stuff so I can work on my FE gifts at lunch!

Just noticed my counter is at 30 days!

Thanks for the offer...pirates are great!!! But I wasn't looking for tiara stickers....I was just suggesting to Cheryl that since she mentioned looking on ebay for the stickers she was looking for, then in another post said she hadn't gotten her princess stuff, she could look on ebay for those items too.

Ok, still trying to get the "work first, play later" into my kids :headache:
Maybe I'll make that into an at home door sign:idea:
;)

Notice I said it has sunk into MY head. I don't think the kids have gotten it yet and they are 26, 18 and 15.:sad2:

When that happens, try pushing and holding the on/off button for ten seconds, that will usually turn it off.

I did and it wouldn't go off! That was why I was freaking out! I thought all my pics are on it, not to mention music. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Oh Cheryl, would you like my tiara die cut?
