Sounds good - As I said in a previous post we will be in room 6540 so give us a call if he is looking to play with someone. I am going to make a note about who is interested so maybe when we have our meet onboard we can mention that "oh he/she likes to play chess too" this will give them some common ground to start a conversation with.

Since my son is only 10 they won't be in the same age group (kinda wish it was still 8-9 and 10-12 so my younger two wouldn't be together but... can't have everything now can we? LOL) but his name is Robert and his room # is 6131- and he'll be in the lab most of the time. Might just tell your son to drop by the lab and see if Robert wants to play. LOL

Bip, I was going to tell you to check the Terms and Conditions for their cancellation/refund policy, but I see that you already found that information. Which dolphin program did you book? We are booked for the Dolphin Encounter at 2 pm. I think Shannon (wheelerkidz3) is also. This was really the only option for us since I have a 1 and a 3 year old. But the nice part about that is that they're free!

I booked the dolphin adventure. cause my kids are older and my eldest daughter really would prefer the royal swim but since we're doing it as a family... I don't want to pay that much plus from watching the videos... that foot push thing would only be fun for HER, not everyone. I can just see a dolphin trying to foot push my big butt. LOL so shhhh no one tell her about the royal swim. The dolphin signature swim with DCL didn't do the foot push either. LOL Originally I was gonna book the dolphin trainer for a day with just me and eldest DD but that wasn't available and this is better anyway- now we ALL get to do it as a family thing.
We booked 11am- that's the same time we have it booked thru DCL and that waterpark closes at 5pm so that gives us time afterwards to do that.

That night is pirate night, right?
Please confirm that because if so, I'm gonna cancel the rhythms of the night excursion we have booked also. I think I'll still let DD do the teen cruise though. I'm not sure when it's over though. When does the pirate festivities on the ship START?

All I know is that when we flew to Baltimore two years ago I left my wallet on the kitchen table and still managed to get on the plane with both kids to attend DH's graduate graduation. I won't be trying that again though. We drove back since DH had the car up there already so I didn't have to worry about being cleared at a bigger airport.

Wow....I have a feeling this would not work this time either. Maybe we need to post a reminder everyday just before the cruise to take passports!!!

I know that a couple years ago we brought liquor onboard and took it back to our room with us. I think the only time they hold it until the end of the cruise is if you buy it from their onboard shop.

I am hoping that is the right answer!!! I will need to replensih the liquor stock!!

I thought it was going to be after the drill. With a group this size maybe it should start at 2pm and continue until the sailaway. There is no way all of us can say hello to each other in a half an hour, right. I know my girls will be in the pool after lunch and DW will be unpacking.

The sailaway meet and greet was going to be 3 pm above Scoops on Deck 10 but because of the fire drill we need to move up the time to 2 pm. I think we should also have it after the firedrill so we can pay for the lanyards and wristbands!! We would sure hate Desiree and Tina trying to track all of us for our lanyards and wrist bands.

The coolers were ordered from Staples, but they were on clearance and are no longer available. There's one here but it's slight more than the one from Staples.

Is everyone still doing the cliff divers excursion? I'm wondering if we should bother paying that much after the reports of it from others. But then there really isn't anything ELSE to do with such a short, and early, time there!

Just curious.. we're trying to do some changes to our "plans" at those places- atleast one- for Jeff to be able to go scuba diving...... not sure which one I should change around for though.

What say ye scuba divers? Which is best in your opinion?

Sept. 1 8:30 a.m. - roll off the ship together. After two plus weeks of ice cream socials and drinks of day and unlimited food, have the cast member rolling you off the ship meet up with the rest of the cast members rolling the rest of the crew off the ship.....

this is different. I just checked it out and it's a different place and has that waterpark/etc. the one we're doing with DCL doesn't mention a waterpark. And they call it different names than this place does. Appears it's further away too.
I'm seriously considering booking this but I got almost done (got to checkout) and then thought.. what if we don't end up going to that port? If we keep our booking with DCL we don't get charged- right? But with this we're paying in advance. And I can't find anywhere on the website that says anything about a refund- so we'd be out a lot of money for nothing for all 5 of us...save lots if we end up going, lose a lot of money if we for some reason can't make that port and have already paid in advance.
It sounds the same as the signature swim for the most part (except not as many restrictions as DCL but also doesn't include lunch) BUT it also includes a waterpark which I know my kids would love. they dig the waterparks. LOL
ahhhhhhhh decisions decisions. I wonder if that person knows if they refund for any reason like if you don't make it to that port on your cruise. I'll have to hunt them down and ask them!

Did the website have a phone number? Might be worth a call?

Or google the name of the place and "refund policy"

Thanks for the info about the PV dolphin swim. I just booked that because it saved us over $400!!! (even accounting for the taxis there. The DCL excursion included lunch but we probably wouldn't have liked it anyway and this way the kids get to swim at the waterpark too! Thanks so much!

now the question is.. after I get confirmation of our booking- do I cancel the signature swim with DCL online? ANd if so.... is anyone else wanting to book that excursion that I can maybe help them out by arranging to do it at the same time or something? we're currently booked 5 of us for the dolphin signature swim in PV.... that's what I'm gonna cancel!

Good morning everyone! I just realized last night that yesterday was my one month mark for the TOAL. A month from today dd and I will be wandering around DL! Got to get packing.

Had a computer glitch last night. Scared me to death. I thought my computer was crashing. It wouldn't turn off! I had to unplug the power cord and let the battery drain. Tried it this morning and it worked fine. Hope it was just a one time thing!

When that happens, try pushing and holding the on/off button for ten seconds, that will usually turn it off.

Oh no this is not good.
When we booked- we booked me and the 2 girls for just DePalm Island and Jeff/Robert for the seatrek & Depalm island- they were all at the same time! I even still have the itinerary in email and printed out!

But now they changed it to where Jeff/Robert's says 12:30-5:30pm and ours is 11:45-4:45pm.
Not good.
I only booked it this way because I thought we'd all be going at the same time. I don't WANT to go 45min ahead with the girls and leave 45min ahead of him. This also messes up our plans of trying to change things later (ie: me go with Robert, Jeff go with the girls, after seatrek then I'm fine with being with the kids at the waterpark while we're there if Jeff wants to go scuba diving there)

why oh why did they change the time only for some of us?

Hands down .... Anywhere in the caribbean is better diving then the pacific .....
