This is DS12 Thomas relaxing on our Jordan's comfy couch at the Guess Who concert at the Hatch Shell in Boston last night... I won a trivia contest to the comfy seats & we had a blast....munched on chips & cheese, great music, the best weather - what more could we want? But we wanted to take that couch home!!! All in all it was an awesome day for us

One of the saddest things I've seen in 25+ years of firefighting continues to be the number of memories that are in the pile of burnt and ruined things after the fire, photo albums, video tapes, photos in frames, etc.
This stuff can't be replaced!
Its one of the reasons I pay for a photo storage site (with redundant servers). Just in case (God forbid) something bad happens, not just fire, etc but hard drive crash. I couldn't imagine losing ten years of digital photos.

We have CD's copied at my parents and we have an outside data backup company DH does some work with back up our hard drives weekly. We have been almost exclusively digital since 1996 when our 640K digital camera was over $1000. Then a couple of years later a 2 MP was about the same $1000.
Wow! How times change.

ITA! I was in GS for 12 years and they added the gold award (equivalent to Eagle in BS) when I was a Senior. I got it the second year it was offered and the work required was quite extensive. I had already gotten my First Class Award which was previously the highest available. That went on my resume, along with the fact that I financed 100% of my college expenses and earned my BA in three years instead of the usual four. I have great memories from 9 years of summer camps.

I am similar. My troop was the 1st troop in the nation to get the Gold Award. We got letters from the President, our Legislators came to our ceremony etc. It was a big deal.
Having that landed me my 1st job out of Grad school/

I do have some questions, We are staying at GCH precruise and still need DL tickets. What's the best place to purchase?

Also interested in making magnets and fish extender for our door.

We are almost in full panic mode. I am putting DH in charge of door magnets and labels for FE'ers.

Chrissie, It is up to you, but the general guidelines are $25-30 and 5-6 gifts.

Sorry I have been missing for so long, but so much has been going on, just trying to keep up with the 10/24/09 thread is about all I can handle most days.

I can't even remember what pics I posted last, but here are pics from Angelina's graduation night 6-17 and at her grad party on 6-28.

We will be arriving at WDW on 8-31 and will be staying at OKW (first trip back HOME) until 9-5. Angelina starts her massage therapy school on her 18th birthday 9-15.

We are all doing well, in fact, I have even started working out each morning for about 45 minutes before going to work, then on the weekends I spend about 90 minutes working out. Angelina joins me during the weekday workouts, but she refuses to go with me on the weekends.....

It's so hard to believe that you guys only have a month before your PC cruise. I know y'all are going to have a MAGICal time and I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

Ok sorry about this but the disboards will not let me qoute anyone today... But anyway.. congrats on the training. I too am in training but for a 5k.. now if you knew me and saw me you would laugh to think.. your running.. Well, yes I am. When i did my first 1 min run I thought I was going to die... 1 min run 5 min walk and than we have advanced the past 9 weeks. now i run 10 walk 1x3... The sad thing is the 5k i was planning on doing is the day before we sail.. So instead My son and I wil do a BUD run in September after we get back. They had the "Boilermaer" today in Utica, NY over 5000 people including the blind govenor. now that gives me so much insentive to get my but in gear.. I hope to do the Disney 1/2 marathon in 2010..

In fact I just ran the block with the dogs..

She is going somewhere close. She wants to live at home while going to College.

Samantha loves water parks. She'll be home in 10 days. We can plan for HF when she gets home.

If you don't normally get sea sick or suffer from motion sickness (never have) should you still bring something to treat it?

Pepto and Immodium...why bring both?

What would we need the colace for(I know what it is used for..but is it necessary?)?

yeah my qoutes work .. IMHO.. Dont use PEPTO..it will turn your stools back and oftens disguises other illnesses (like bleeding bowels). Immodium is better but if you take to much you have the opposite effect. Yes, to colace because its a known event when your on vacation you dont drink as much water and the diet is so different for your systems to adjust to.
Thats just what I have heard and learned as an ER RN.

I'm told it doesn't. Rumors of TomTom working on one are just rumors. Other rumors are that Apple is blocking 3rd party GPS applications to work on their own.

More of a GPS/Phone than a phone with added GPS. And it has the 3G, Internet, etc. as well.

What carriers will sell it.. I love my GPS.. the one on my phone is pretty good as long as you have coverage...
