I bunch of my desert buddies have those for emergencies. I was going to bring a GPS but.....I think I'll bring this little puppy:

It's a Sony GPS tracker for photographers. It comes with software which marries the timestamp on your photos with the GPS track so you can find out where you where when you took a given pic.

It has linkes to Google Earth etc.

My DH has one of those too and plans on bringing it with us. I can't wait to see the track on Google Earth.

Awesome! We got our FE gifts in the mail today, and after looking at them, they're not nearly as cool as yours!!

Sorry to hear that... Prayers to you and the family. Fire has got to be one of my biggest fears.

His is the CEO and she is really just only does what works for her schedule. The fact that she changed this meeting 3 times already because it didn't work for her, then my DH had a conflict and too bad. He doesn't like his job anymore. Promises were made when he took the job and it just hasn't panned out like he thought. He didn't get a bonus last spring because boss lady told him he didn't work enough. She expects a person at his level to work weekends and very late into the night. He is pretty much gone from 5:30 am until 7:30 or 8. Really....that isn't a long enough day? He did invest in the company, so now he wants to stay until next spring so he can get his money out of it then look elsewhere. I think she has a secret camera next to my day planner and looks for the only weekends we have something scheduled that can't be changed and picks those dates.

Well, thanks for listening everyone. I am going to just let it go at this point. Too much negative energy and there are other things I need to focus on. I appreciate everyone's viewpoints and ideas and thanks for just letting me get that out. He does have a job, now if I can just help him keep it until he finds something else.

That's too bad. I've read that people join companies, but leave managers. Sounds like that's coming true for your DH. I don't subscribe to the view that you have to work lots of hours to be effective. When I was a new manager at KPMG, I was in the partner's office late one night and his phone rang. It was his wife who screamed into the phone, "YOU JUST MISSED ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR KIDS!" I heard it loud and clear and I usually have a hard time hearing. My oldest was only about 3 months old at the time, and I was quickly becoming a workaholic. My DW even accused me of becoming like that partner. That was the turning point where I decided that there's more to life than a work.

I'd like to know too...I'm too nervous to spend $500 on DLR passes and find out we can't use them. It would be a great savings for us as we had only planned to get 2 day passes.

Real cruise related answers!!

For effective absorption of Rit Sun Guard, do not use cold water; temperature of water should be 100 degrees or higher. Safe for all washable fabrics. Will not add sun protection to 100% polyester and acrylic fabrics.

The T-**** are 100% cotton. I see that you need to wash in warm to hot water to make it effective. The black stuff from Dharma shouldn't run as I already got all the excess dye out. But the black T-shirts provided by the printer probably will run. So, do the blacks separately.

If you wash in hot water - either line dry, or dry in a cool dryer. To help preserve the "newness" of the transfer.

I'd think you'd be OK.

Whew... so many posts, so little time...

Work (and being over worked) is a subject that hits very close to home. While my hours (esp in the summer time) are rediculous (I just got home...after 11PM), my superiors are very appreciate of my efforts, and I work with some really great people. If the people factor were to change, I think I would have no choice but to throw in the towel and start over someplace else.

On to lighter fare.... Todd, the TAT is awesome... You guys are way too creative... I havent a clue what my FE gift will be... It certainly wont be nearly as cool as the ones being shown on the boards. So apologies in advance.

As for the questions of the day...

1) What are your hobbies and / or passionate interests again? Maps.. yes Maps.. I enjoy studying Mapes (yes I have a degree in Geography)

2) Any favorite reading subjects, and/or magazines and/or authors? Disney (duh), Casinos/ Gambling, Investing. Subscribe to Wall St Journal and read it every day

3) You have any snacks or beverages which you sinfully covet? Any and all diet soda. And any and all snacks.

4) Are there any musicians, music groups or catagories of music which tickle your fancy more than others? VAN HALEN!!! by far!!! CABO WABO!

5) Are you COMPULSIVE about anything??? - or alternatively - is there anything that comes to mind which has recently has been an ANNOYANCE to you? Hmmm complusive.... I cant think of anything... but Budgets annoy me... I find them a waste of time... that being said I reconcile my checkbook to the penny (so maybe I am compulsive about that). And I am fastidious about tax returns I prepare

6) Tell us something you've NOT ever posted or mentioned about yourself - to the best of your recollection. Those with por memories are invited to just make something entertaining up! < wink > I've been to Disneyland Paris... (it may have been called EuroDisney back then). I also only buy American cars (preferably GM)... which makes me very much an anomoly here in NY.

7) Now ... I'm going to stick MY neck out and ask ya ta share your T-shirt size .... and if this is NOT a diplomaticly correct question - then I invite you to substitute with confessing your NICKNAME!... if any? I can get into an XL, but prefer XXL... a mans got to breathe.
