Mike - you have me listed 2x in this list and can you also change DH name back to Rich. And our celebration is our anniversary 8/24 - if that is needed.
Thanks. I'll fix that right now. I figured with that much info, I was bound to make a mistake or two.
Are we the only ones on Deck 1? I feel so lonely now, lol.
I know at least one other person on the thread posted that they're on Deck 1, but they didn't sign up on the roster thread (not sure about FE exchange), so I won't add them to the roll call without their permission. Trust me, with this many pirates on board, you won't be lonely!

You're right- we do know our kids well don't we? LOL
My eldest was 12.5 on the last cruise and had a tee-total BLAST in the lab last time. She's a wee bit imature for her age though (and might I add- also ADHD so that's one reason she'd rather be on the go doing things rather than just "hanging out". yanno?)
when I'd told her it was 11-14 (cause I thought it was!) she was all excited about actually having activities, asking me if they'd still do things like they did last time even though they were located in the OC this time, etc. I haven't told her (yet) that I've since found out it's only up to age 13 because I didn't want to disappoint her and just see if they'd allow her to go in that age group.. and then if not, well..... we'd have no choice then would we? (but I have a feeling I'd end up with a "ruby" attached to my hip the entire cruise.... wanting to DO STUFF. LOL)
Again knowing my kids.. I highly doubt my youngest will find the club boring. She still acts like she's still 5 like the last cruise (complete with still wanting to dress up like a princess and say she's a princess, play with baby dolls, gets along well with younger kids, etc. That last part might be partly because she's little for her age and just navigates towards kids her SIZE which end up being younger than her? I dunno....
She gets along with kids exactly her age too but IDK about kids older than her. She started school very young -barely 5 for kindergarten and I thought she'd get experience with older kids considering my older two started school LATE since they have later birthdays and had to be 5 before starting school. So I thought she'd be in classes with some kids close to a year older than her- yanno? But nope.. last year she was in a class that was ALL kids that had barely turned 7 before they started that school year.. and she was STILL the shortest kid in class LOL)
And then we have the "brother" to deal with... I'm really not sure how well it would work out with those two in the same group! LOL They could surprise me and it might be okay- but it could be a disaster waiting to happen. I'm not sure the crew members are up to the task of trying to ignore these two arguing.... sometimes I find it hard to tune it out and I'm their mom! LOL)
Sounds like you have your answers.

We were able to have our oldest move downward to be with his brother and sister. The counselors said he could try it, and as long as he wasn't disruptive they would let him stay. We had no problems.
I agree with others to let your kids know that you'll try, but can't guarantee the switch. Talk to the counselors when you get to the terminal. The one thing I can think of that may prevent them from allowing the switch is if they are completely full at a certain age level, and the switch would put them over the max. Otherwise, I think they'll be understanding and let you make the switch.
Thank you so much, I just ordered one for him. I really thought the 790 was a great value and would have been a great camera but you know 15 year olds, they know everything and since he was buying it himself there was no talking him out of it.
It would be great to see some of your underwater pics and compare them with DSs. Maybe an informal photo sharing day, we are bringing our laptop if you are interested.
Michelle
That would be great! One of the sea days between Aruba and CC.
Do you guys think I could get in on this too! I'd love to see how you color correct the underwater shots.
