Is it August yet?

I really need a vacation after today. First off, I had to come into work early to pull a 12 hour shift. Before that I had to take my cat to the vet and my car completely died half way there. Then once I got there I had to put my cat down. And then on top of it, I wasn't able to go to Disneyland today. For you that don't know, today is Disneyland's Birthday.

This is the first time in 9 years that I haven't been there to celebrate its birthday there.

I will be gone most of tomorrow and all day Saturday (Catholic Homeschool Conference). I know I won't be able to catch up! LOL!

We have been watching WYD every night scaning the crowd! LOL!

That is where all of our basic pieces came from. I hadn't thought to distress our costumes. I guess I will work on that next week! Ours are all *clean* looking!

I'm wondering if we should do the same. It's quite a chunk of change to pay for all 5 of us and if it ends up being like they described, we'll all be disappointed (and maybe even grumpy afterwards.And who wants to pay for something that just makes us grumpy? LOL)

So we can walk with everyone? We'll be leaving enmasse together walking to the fort?

I feel the same way about not paying for a tour that will spend a lot of time shopping. I have three teen boys and two are not too keen on the idea of this cruise to start with! I have followed the ACA Port Dude thread on the cruise critic website, and it seems that we can just get a cab and go see the dive show on our own; it will probably be the first thing the tour does. So this is what we plan to do since I really want to see the divers. I saw them back in '84 and remember being impressed. Then I plan on coming back and maybe strolling to the fort.

I keep telling my DH that I want to give my 2 week notice right before TOAL, so that I don't have to deal with that horror show when I get back. He keeps telling me that I can go ahead and do that, but to understand that there will be no DOTD for me if I don't have a job to come home to

Well I am going away from a place that I am not appreciated...(appreciated by kids but not necessarily the ones that should show it)A big stress relief...

I am getting more hours at another job (with kids),have a PT job at Bed and Bath and I will be able to focus on my PERSONAL artwork...It's a good thing and knowing of this change I can fully enjoy our TOAL w/o the dread of going back to that place....

We were just discussing in the car that today was DL birthday. In fact 3 years ago today we were experiencing our first sailaway party aboard the Magic 7/17/05.

It is fustrating but even if someone is just pricing the room, and someone else goes to look at the same time or two minutes later it will show unavailable. It takes 20-30 minutes to clear out so that it shows again.

I would make sure your TA keeps looking as DCL has many things they work on and they may not be looking at your particular reservation when the room is available. I have booked many a room for clients by just being on the look out even though DCL had a waitlist for the things I was looking for

I think I need a new Travel Agency (or go it alone again)... This is the first time I've ever used one and I'm not real happy with the whole situation..... I don't have a whole lot of confidence that someone else will check or push things as often as I can...

Apparently it was the supervisor that called the TA back when they couldn't figure out what she was talking about a room upgrade so it wasn't her holding it...

I meant to post this earlier, but I couldn't find a good pic. DD has out grown her pirate costume. The skirt is now mid-thigh and the top is now a midrift! It is a size L girls and she was 7-8 yrs when it fit. It has the top, skirt, belt, hat and boot(shoe covers). Here is a pic of the exact outfit, in the upper left had corner. Great article, Steve thanks for sharing. A friend purchased some Disney artwork after being told it was exclusive to that cruise only to find it displayed at the art store (forget the name) in DTD after he got off the cruise. Don't know by how much, but he overpaid by quite a bit
