Got a letter from the state unemployment today....my first claim got denied!! Says I needed to have a 1 week waiting period before I can file...my first claim was dated 6/28, my last day of employment was 6/20....who taught the state employees how to count??? State funded public school??

Does anyone know if on the SM gifts..are we supposed to wrap them?

I wrapped mine, I even wrapped some of my FE gifts. But I don't think it is necessary, just thought it would make them more exciting

My DBIL is a cop. So is my DSB.

Both have been injured several times in the line of duty.

Actually both were hit by drunk drivers also while responding to a call. Drunks never saw the flashing lights or heard sirens.... DUH

DSB's squad car was rolled into a cemetary. He came really close to dying in that one.

My Dbil was out of duty for over a year for his accident. First had an operation for broken leg. Once that healed they gave him a second operation for his shoulder. Same DBIL has a permanant scar from injury on duty.

Yeah they have it made alright.

I know quite a few officers that have been injured or killed in the line of duty. I think it takes a special person to be in law enforcement.

I booked a dummy ressie on board. We received a 100.00 OBC.

We then transferred our ressie to Dreams and received the 400. OBC...

I was told I would have both? Was I misinformed? Because online it online shows 400.00

Putting on her eyeliner.

I looked away

For a couple seconds !

And when I looked back she was

Halfway over in my lane,


Still working on that makeup.


As a man,

I don't scare easily.


But she scared me so much;

I dropped
My electric shaver ,


Which knocked

The donut

Out of my other hand.

In all
The confusion of trying

To straighten out the car


Using my knees against
The steering wheel,


It knocked

My cell phone


Away from my ear


Which fell


Into the coffee

Between my legs,


Splashed,


And burned


Big Jim and the Twins,


Ruined the darn phone,


Soaked my trousers,


And disconnected an
Important call.

We are out the door...DD and a friend are going miniature golfing (also known as the most frustrating game alive) followed by "why can't we play in the arcade" and "why can't we have ice cream"

What kind of crafts do you like to do Cheryl? I used to design teddy bears before I went back to work. Just don't have the time,or desire really,to do it anymore.

I do paper twist, flower arrangements, I made pumpkins from a neat material,rose angels,flower pens, light bulb ornaments,and anything else I could sell to support my habit of crafting. I always liked to make $500 a year for extra presents. Once I move to Florida....I may go into some craft shows.

With DD away, DH wants some alone time

Congratulations to all who received room assignments! Looks like things are rolling right along! Nothing for us yet, but we won't panic until Thursday!

We have not planned anything for Acapulco. I have checked the cruise critic link and I think that we will just follow port dude's advice to take a cab to the restaurant to see the cliff divers. That is all we want to see while we are there. I can't see spending all that tour money for my lads to be grumpy on a tour. On the way back, maybe we can check out the fort.

Debi, I have things hanging up, in baskets, on chairs - just about any available surface! DH thinks I'm completely nuts but I keep telling him that he will thank me for all this when we get on board and unpack and realize that we DIDN'T forget his belt, tie, and dress socks this time.

I have clothes hanging on door frames,on top of antique trunks,on the fronts and backs of doors. There's a dress dummy in the front room with our pirate costumes on it and all the FE stuff,snorkle gear,s.s.cooler and junk,is on the couch. The cat has to walk a path through the house!

Dog gone it! DD's SB coach just called, they have a make up game tomorrow at 6:30.

Got dd to bed. Our tomato plants have a few flowers on them as well as our cuke plant. They have under a month to give fruit. Probably when we are on the cruise!

Well, I got one thing crossed off the to-do list. Took DS to Walmart and bought his school supplies. I still need to label everything with his name and get it packed up for the "1st day" (his first, everyone elses 6th).

I found shorts that actually fit me for $7!!! I can't remember the last time I found clothes I liked that fit me at Walmart

Thanks for the info about the PV dolphin swim. I just booked that because it saved us over $400!!! (even accounting for the taxis there. The DCL excursion included lunch but we probably wouldn't have liked it anyway and this way the kids get to swim at the waterpark too! Thanks so much!

We're going to Sea Life Park, too. We're booked for the sea lion encounter. Maybe those of us going can try to share cab(s). There's four of us in our party.
