Wow - that was a little surreal! I'm glad the DIS is back. We are leaving in a couple hours to go up to our cabin for a long weekend (back late Tuesday night) and I thought I wasn't going to get my last DIS fix to get me through the weekend! There is a remote chance that DH's fancy new cell phone will be able to connect as a modem - but we're not counting on it working up in the North woods.

I couldn't get on DIS all morning and then when I try reading our thread it makes no sense. Am I in the Twilight Zone? Is this the Tower of Terror? I don't have a clue what is going on, but maybe that isn't too unusual.

Maybe this will end up on page 105. Good luck to all trying to follow what is going on. I am lost and will just smile and nod.

Hear, Hear Crew!​

Our soft goods will be shippin' 'bout a week late. Our order was 25% larger than we had originally indicated. The printer had to order more materials. I'm holdin' him at sword point, and have threatened plank walkin'. But, also said not to sacrafice quality for speed. So, we be figurin' about a week extra. He's brought on extra crew to handle the additional work.

I be thankin' the Packing Crew who volunteered for July 2. I be settin' a new date, when we get closer to havin' it done.

That'll be all, now back ta yer duties!

Thanks for the info. I have never used it personally, but I know that some people swear by it. Then again, I'm the only in the household who does take vitamins.

I've used it a couple times when I feel a cold coming on.

We'd already decided to axe the early part of the trip (Yellowstone, and Glacier) due to fuel costs. And enterain ourselves between here and WA instead. If it weren't for this fancy cruise I'm goin' on, we could've done it. But the choice had to be made. Camping with Bears or 15 day cruise with my online friends.... We'll see the bears next summer.

Are you coming up to Washington? There does happen to be shipmates of your that live up here! I'm just sayin'!

Congrats on the stateroom assignment! I've been checking my ressie every day, but it still just says Guarantee. Hopefully soon.

good evening everyone! i don't have time to read back thru the posts right now, sooooo.....
happy birthday to those celebrating and prayers for those that need them!
hope everyone has a great weekend! today was my friday as i am off tomorrow!!! yippeeee.....but not really! i needed to take the day off cuz both of my boys are going to surgery for ear tubes. this is oldest ds's 9th or 10th time!!! and youngest ds's 2nd time. youngest one will also be havind adenoids removed. i'm glad they are getting this all taken care of before the TOAL! both of my boys are very prone to ear infections...and i'm sure that even having the tubes, we'll still end up with an infection or two while onboard.
i guess i'd better get going since we have to be at the hosp by 7am!! have a great nite!!!

Hi everyone!

Our last night of the trip...we are currently in Fresno CA...going to visit some fruit farms tomorrow...we spent last night in a B&B in Redding. Unfortunately, the CA wildfires are really doing a number and the smoke has been terrible...also..today I pulled off to get some gas to find out that 2 of my tires were in bad shape from some rough roads and had to be replaced immediately...another had a nail in it....took 3 hours and two different locations to get all 4 tires replaced...out light 5 hour drive took us almost 10 with our lunch at 6pm this evening..suffice to say..good thing we had snacks....We were on some really bad mountain roads last night and I feel blessed that we made it okay considering what my tires looked like.

I had asked for your prayers a couple of weeks ago for a friend who was having chemo...thank you so much for your prayers..her biopsies returned with no cancer the spots are something different that she needs treated but not terminal.

Hope everyone has had a good week..I never caught up so hopefully nothing urgent came about...

THANKS!! i really should be in bed right now! but i can't sleep...ugh! this is a very minor procedure...but i'm nervous, cuz i'm going it alone. dh could not get any time off for this, so i will have to deal with both boys coming out from anesthesia and also try to keep dd occupied. should make for an interesting day tomorrow!

I hope it's all over and done with by now, and that everything went well.

I took DH and DS to have their noses done...deviated septum and their sinuses roto-rootered....so I know what it's like to have to deal with two patients at the same time. I'm thinking of you!
