It's a bit busy for my taste.

I'd recommend halving the number of characters
OR
Removing the board logo, and one or two characters

Is Mickey in there twice??
.

Wish I could remove some of the characters but they are on the main piece ....No Mickey isnt in there twice .. Thats Minnie as ES from DMC

pirate:

Do you think this door sign is too busy ??????

Pirateswelcome.jpg

OK - got a 10 minute reprieve from my next meeting... I can be more specific.

Can you remove Chip & Dale, take that tall pirate-bad guy (don't remember his name) and put him where Chip & Dale were, then flip him over so he's pointing in? This will give you a little more height on the left side.

Then take out the Mickey that's standing on the dock. Keep the one on the boxes.

Take out Stitch.

Try that and see how it looks. You may need to loose Donald two, but I'm not certain.

Or do none of this. It is, after all, your door sign. :rotfl2:

Gotta run to that meeting....

.

I found a few nice pics of her in my baby book and a couple from our wedding. They did bring back memories for me... It's funny the things you remember...
So sorry about your Grandmom, Kristina.

Thanks for all your concern about my darlingGD Genevieve.  Her fever finally came down but she is still very weak.:worried: Still no appetite but I think on the road to recovery.::yes:: I think I am not eating at all while in Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:
So scary Cheryl. Glad she is getting better.

Actual Cruise Question!

How many of you are bringing a laptop?

Now back to your regularly scheduled chatting.
We're bringing ours.

Mike and Roger, got to love those ginger pills, but do they help with seasickness? I can have a sentitive tummy sometimes. Pepto Bismol is my all purpose fix. You know "heart burn, upset stomach...".

WOW, there is still so much to do and so little time. Just when you think you are so organized you realize how much there is to do. But as long as I have clothes on my back and all my important documents everything else I can buy or "pirate". pirate: I am having those Disney nightmares too. DH left for the cruise without me!:furious: He couldn't understand why I was so mad at him when I woke up.:lmao: :confused3 :lmao:
I used ginger capsules after the Star Tours ride
in MGM and they worked.

Glad I'm not the only one with the nightmares;)

Hey Gang -
P.S. - Is there anything I should be checking out in Cabo? or Puerta Vallarta? I know Stacey was just there - but ??

Keep meaning to ask someone, how much is the DOD these days? Need to budget accordingly. However we have been flying candidates out for hire in 2009 and been having their airfare and hotel charged to my Disney Card. Just over $7K last week - that equals lots of DOD from my Disney Rewards Card! :cool1:

Me - first time traveling with it. Hope to keep my journal in Word so I can just paste to a board and make all my co-workers jealous.

I be thankin' the Packing Crew who volunteered for July 2. I be settin' a new date, when we get closer to havin' it done.

If it is on a weekend and someone is heading up from the SF area and is willing to have a travel companion (since I am wheel challenged) I would love to help out.

On a separate note - I just started to slightly freak about how close this trip is coming. Someone asked yesterday at work how many days - I blurted out 50 like it was nothing, then it set in. Been dragging my feet, I really need to see what I have that fits and what I need to buy. Been seeing tons of advertisements for summer sales.

Love love love love love love love me macbook , did I tell ya that I love my mac book :lmao: :lmao: . No honestly , last year we were waiting for one of our computers to crash so we could convert and it finally happened around Christmas time :badpc: ...Not really crashed but got sick of all the windows BS and we finally converted to all Mac , so SM and and I got Imacs for the house and a macbook for travel ... I love the simplicity of Mac ..and with that said with the new Iphone coming out July 11th needless to say that we are converting to that as well ...cause now with me.com everything will be synced and all information from computer to phone can be accessed anywhere in the world .... Which works great for us ... What can I say I am a huge Apple fan now

pirate:

We are so we can download pictures and check in with my mom while we're gone. She's watching our dog for us while we're gone, so we know we're going to want pics of her. This way we can also blog a little in Word and then post all at once if we want.

I'm so jealous. I want a Macbook Pro and the new iPhone when it comes out! I'm a Graphic Designer, so I work only work on Mac. Just wish we could buy a macbook before we leave. Maybe for our next cruise..... :rolleyes1

I have always LOVED the MAC...I too am a Graphic Designer and I wouldn't use anything else!

Comments: On your website, under frequent questions it indicates only bring
towel / swimsuit from November - July. We will be there in August, is there
no swimming available.

Response

Hi Tom,

There is swimming available. It all depends on the current of the water if a
lot of raining has occurred during those days.

Needless to say, I consumed my per diem in beer. This trip is a bit costly!
:scared1: :scared1:

I am so glad that dh and them don't do *per diem*! He's in England this week.....

I have the advantage of the time change. I am already a morning person, plus I get 2 extra hours in theory! The only problem is that I will probably found sleeping in my soup at the dinner table because we usually choose to eat dinner at about 7 or 8...so, I win a little, I lose a little. :)

I'm ususally a morning person, also..... So, when I went to LV with 21dd (it was for now 24dd's b-day) and MIL (they botht think 10am is early....) I had hours of nothing to do in the morning! LOL! DD laughed every morning because I would be in full makeup (I don't wear much makeup normally). She would say *Bored?* :rotfl2:

I am actually truthfully honestly bringing my own toilet paper for 14 days. Really.

DH used to laugh at me because I always travel with a roll of toilet paper.....

I used the new room only code over at mousesavers and saved $85 on our 1 night at AKL post cruise!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: When we first started buying computers and going online (15yrs ago) all of ours were Macs. We've had about 5 or 6 Macs... and we loved them! Like dh would say *You can't hurt a Mac!* But, dh is a gamer as are a few of our children......So, we have nothing but PC's now (7 for the 5 of us that live in the house!) Dh has an Alienware....... That's what kind of a gamer he is. :cool2:

We finally got our stateroom assignment - 7001 (cat 10). It makes this trip real for me. We were so disappointed at having to cancel the western repo. I can't believe we have just 52 days, 3 hours, 24 minutes, 51 seconds remaining until our East-Bound Panama Canal Cruise!

:yay: On the stateroom assignment!

You will listen to me! LISTEN! The other ships will still be looking to us, to the Disney Magic, to lead, and what will they see? Frightened bilgerats aboard a derelict ship on its way to dry dock? No, no they will see free men, wenches and freedom! And what the enemy will see, they will see the flash of our cannons, speedos by Palo and they will hear the ringing of our swords, and they will know what we can do! By the sweat of our brow and the strength of our backs and the courage in our hearts! Gentlemen, hoist the colors!

pirate:

It looks great!!!

The house we're in right now, DH never saw until after closing. I had the POA. So, I figured it was fair to let him pick the next one... ;)

:rotfl: Y'all are cracking me up!!! My dad bought our house in TX without mom seeing it -- he is retired Navy. We were stationed in San Diego and he flew out to TX for a weekend and bought the house! I remember him telling my mom *You'll love it. It's a block away from the Library.* ;)

SW has added their schedules thru 1/9/09! I just got my WDW tickets!

:thumbsup2

Do you think this door sign is too busy ??????

pirate:

It's busy but, I like it......

Yep, I will HAVE to do a bit of WORK in the mornings

Thanks for all your concern about my darlingGD Genevieve.  Her fever finally came down but she is still very weak.:worried: Still no appetite but I think on the road to recovery.::yes:: I think I am not eating at all while in Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

Cheryl, that is wonderful news. Hopefully she kicks this pretty fast and is back to 100% soon:hug:

Off to take my smaller vehicle to the dealer. The A/C is broken. Thank heavens I shelled out for the extended warranty. Guaranteed to pay for itself on this one.

Later...have a great day, everyone!!! :sunny:

I imagine it is unbearable in AZ without air in your car this time of the year!

Project Management Law #1: Nothing ever goes as planned. Ever.
Project Management Law #2: The purpose of having a plan isn't to control chaos. Chaos can't be controlled. It's to know how to respond when chaos occurs.

Ah. Well. Best laid plans and all that jazz....

We'd already decided to axe the early part of the trip (Yellowstone, and Glacier) due to fuel costs. And enterain ourselves between here and WA instead. If it weren't for this fancy cruise I'm goin' on, we could've done it. But the choice had to be made. Camping with Bears or 15 day cruise with my online friends.... We'll see the bears next summer. ::yes::

THEN, DH found this house he completely fell in love with. We put in an offer last night. If the bank accepts it (it's a foreclosed proterty), we'll be needing to move. And the very best time to put our house on the market will be while the boys and dogs and I are gone. So, I'll be spending the first week of my sabbatical de-clutering the house and getting it ready for sale. We've asked for a July 30 closing date - So I might be cutting short the back end of the camping trip too. The thought of getting back from the cruise, starting school, AND moving is simply overwhelming. So, I could move us in early Aug before we leave for the cruise. We dont have to have our current house sold to close on the new one - so that's one less worry.

So.... Our departure date has been pushed back to July 11. And everything else between then and Aug 13 is up in the air. Actually, packing & shipping the shirts will be a nice break from packing up all that junk.

I'm just sitting here laughing because when DH was active duty our moves were always these 5 week quick turn fire drills. This move was supposed to be different - take your time, get everything ready, find a house, get the move done. And what do we have? A 5 week quick turn fire drill.

But, Hey! It's us - why should anything ever be simple??!! Never has been before. At least we're got lots of experience. :rotfl2:

Or, the bank could laugh at our offer. :confused3

Chris! Great! See, there was a reason the printer was delayed. :thumbsup2

.

Esteri, hope they accept your offer! Does sound like you will be VERY BUSY!!!:goodvibes
