Just a few reminders of activities over on the Pirate Zone

Pirate Roll Call - found in Pirates! Introduce Thy Selves! - Remember you won't be listed in our personal navigator directory unless you sign up on this thread. Doesn't matter where else you may have posted your info, if it's not in this thread it won't make the master list. Also, be sure to list your stateroom number in a new post after you get assigned.

Who's Doing What - found in the Itinerary section - Reminder, if you make changes, please reply in a new post, I won't find it if you modify your first post. FYI, for now I am listing the DIS Cartagena tours under "On Our Own". Once we get some firm plans, I'll separate those out into their own heading.

Kid's Post Card Exchange Sign Ups - found in Sea Day (Formal Night) - More details coming in a few weeks. Right now we know you will need to bring a postcard for every child who has signed up.

Private DIS Mr Emerald Tours - found in Cartagena - Several options are available. Review Tours #1-5 and post on the appropriate thread for the option you want.

Meeting Before Dinner on Pirate Night - found in Sea Day 6 (Pirate Night) - The Captain is requesting that the pirates be fashionably late in entering the dining room that night. Post to the poll and let the Captain know if you will be joining him.

Grown Up Princesses List of Participants - found in Sea Day 7 (Ballroom Under the Stars - Formal Night) - there will be a few surprises for the princesses, but only if we know ahead of time that you are participating.

Group Tastings - found in On Board Plans - Day to be Determined - See the thread for information on the various tastings we are arranging for our group. But please note, sign up by emailing Laurie (MrsScooby) at mrsscoobie@yahoo.com.

One thing I do want to point out....but then I should put it on the Pirate Zone.....for those of us planning dinner at the port....the Doubletree has really, really good food. And the price wasn't bad. I LOVED their outdoor patio, and there's room enough for all of us.
If we ate there, the people without cars wouldn't have to worry about transportation to dinner.

Maybe we can all just show up and commander the restaurant.

Night all! Had a fairly good weekend. Had an optomitrist (?) apt yeseterday morning and need stronger glasses! Than went to breakfast at a local cafe. DD wanted a library card so we went there. Our library is part of an old house and they recently added an elevator and moved the local history collection and periodicals into the house. Never been in it and it is beautiful! Also rented 2 dvds and a book. Not sure I can still read a book in 3weeks!

It's always a shame that rain can't be more evenly distributed. Floods in the Midwest and drought in Oklahoma. We haven't had rain in a long time -- way too dry. Saw on the news that our year-to-date precipitation is about 1/3 of average (about 3 inches so far this year).

I agree. Seems we are having a wet spring/summer. It rained again last night. And this morning we went to the store to get some food and it was raining when we went in and it had stopped when we came out.

Likes like the 4th will be nice. DD's choir sings before the parade and then marches.

Twenty-five years a priest and I never came across that rule before. I'll run it by the bishop tomorrow just to make sure I know what I'm talking about when I come on board.

And to think I could have relied on that dispensation instead of spending years learning the blessing that took the calories out of the desserts!

Have you seen their outdoor patio? It's pretty nice, right over the marina. There was a group out there "enjoying it" ..or maybe commandeering is a better word....the night before my cruise. Good thing my balcony door was very soundproof!! They were having a great time. And my balcony was just above the restaurant's patio. Hey.....I can pass down the cold beers and margaritas!

I've been hoping we could see the tall ships from the hotel, but if we'd have a better view, we can have the shuttle take us somewhere. They were really great about taking me to a liquor store and waiting for me.
Sounds like a good plan to me. I haven't checked the Pirate Zone yet. I wonder if we can add that idea? We're going to need to take a vote.

I am joining you for dinner on Saturday night and the hotel sounds just fine with me...not that it is much help but if someone needs to run an errand that evening..my van will fit a few additional.

well I got back really late Friday night.. i was at BWI when storms and lightening hit.. so all of the flights were very late getting in and out... I was glad that i had my friend Stella at the green turtle... been running around cleaning, cooking, laundry.. this was the first time I could get on the 'puter...
