8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #10

Afternoon everyone.

I'm after a bit of info on dining rotations. Has anyone had any details from DCL (or WB repo) on what the rotations are for our TOAL?

Thanks

Chris, have you got the link for payment for the bus posted yet?

I'll answer this one, since, Chris, Wendy and I have been dealing with this over the past few weeks: we found out that we can't fill the buses or we won't have enough luggage space, so we need to go to 4 buses, which will slightly raise the pp price. In addition, Chris will have to pay for the buses in advance, so we want to be sure that everyone who has expressed interest will actually pay and go . . . so, Wendy is finalizing the list and will soon post a big announcement about this, asking people to confirm that they will go if the price is X per person, then we will reserve the buses and start to collect money.

Tough choice, I will go with regular! After all, it is a TOAL, so why count calories!!!

ACTUAL PLANNING ALERT...

Now that the time has arrived to make Priority Seating at Disneyland, where and when is everybody eating?

I have the Vineyard Room on the 15th at 7:30pm and Ariels Grotto on the 15th at 1:00 pm.

I plan on booking Lilo and Stitch on the 16th as late as possible in the morning. For the last night there, I am not sure what else to book!

We are in Concierge at the DL hotel so that should lessen our food needs...I figure with 3 teens and a tween, we get our money's worth from Concierge service!

Nicole you are not doing Goofy's Kitchen? :confused3 That would be the best for the kids.

We made a PS for Goofy's Kitchen for the morning of the 17th (8:30 am:scared1: ). I figure we'll get up early and check-in since we're using DCL transfers-or if the desk isn't open yet, we'll eat first then check-in. Should be a good send off before the cruise.

We made some other PS's at Blue Bayou, Storytellers, Hook's Pointe, etc. From our WDW trips, we found that especially when it's hot out, we like to have a sit down meal where it's cool and we can relax and recharge a bit. Plus we like to eat.

No, but if we miss it, we'll never hear the end of it. All three of our boys live for legos. I can't think of the last birthday or Christmas where they didn't at least get one lego set. All 3 already have the new Lego Indiana Jones DS or PSP games. I've heard it's geared more for the younger kids and not much for adults, but the kids could spend all day just looking at the lego creations. Our DS10 even checked a book out from the library that featured many of the lego creations at Legoland California. He told me that he'd rather visit Legoland than Disneyland (what heresy!)

Christopher.....I'm sure your boys have seen this Lego movie, it is so funny!

PLEASE DO NOT POST HERE UNTIL THE LAST FEW PAGES OF THE PRIOR THREAD ARE DONE AND LOCKED

I said please.....

However, in light of your deliberate disregard and the fact that you are laughing at JR's jokes (it only encourages him), I see a visit to the locker in your future!

wow...new thread..........
only 60 days left and counting.........
so much going on! Its very exciting!

We went to DL this afternoon and had a ball. It was really crowded and hot, but since we didn't get there until 4ish, we missed alot of the heat. It was an absolute gorgeous evening!

I had to share the CUTEST thing I bought....its a antenae ball!

I really want to put it on our door decor or FE somehow, but I will have to make it theft proof first ! I just cracked up when I saw it!

Legoland is alot of fun. My 2 younger kids love it and DH and I do too. Its fun to let the kids have some freedom here compared to most parks. The lego creations all over are amazing, they now have the Vegas strip done in Lego's that is awesome! and the rides are fun but not crazy and wild. You can easily do this park in a day or less and the weather is usually great, sometimes even cool even on a hot day inland. Here are a few pix:

I think that is the coolest thing about Legoland...all the mini cities etc. Thanks for sharing the pictures, it brought back some nice memories!

Is the water play area newer? I don't remember that from our visit.

If have to get me one of them! That is adorable.

Roger wrote on the last thread:

Just checked DCL and no rooms are available Maybe they are assigning GTYs

I did a quick tally of the number GTY's from the cabin list that is started on the Pirate Zone. Obviously not complete but it gives you an idea of how many are waiting in each CAT.

CAT 4 - 5 gtys
CAT 5 - 3 gtys
CAT 6 - 4 gtys
CAT 7 - 0 gtys
CAT 8 - 1 gty
CAT 9 - 4 gtys
CAT10 - 4 gtys
CAT 11 - 7 gtys
CAT 12 - 0 gtys

3 gty - but no cat stated.

We're past the 60 day mark. You would think we should start getting them room assignments any day now :confused3 .

Does anyone remember when the WB's starting seeing theirs?

Morning everyone :goodvibes

Wasn't hard to find the new thread.:thumbsup2
DS sent me this link.Check it out. Way cool
http://www.5min.com/Video/Jack-Sparrow---Pirate-of-Caribbean-speed-painting-25317006

Got up way early to get DH over to the Dept of Health for his Hep A shot. Won't get up. Oh well I will drag him tomorrow after his Drs Appt.Works out better for me than to rush to work this morning.

Crash, some pictures please!!!!

That video was so cool. Time elapse, three hours - no way would I have the patience for that.

Arlene, he is OK to have a Hep A shot? I was thinking I should, but then didn't know if I could.

I said please.....

However, in light of your deliberate disregard and the fact that you are laughing at JR's jokes (it only encourages him), I see a visit to the locker in your future!

It's Chris's fault, he used the word "facetious" and it scared me!

Sorry, I will have Crash buy you a Mickey bar on the cruise...

Normally I'd book something... but with 15 days of great dining on the cruise, it seems superfluous to spend a lot on fancy meals in the park - especially since there are some great casual dining places their and at Downtown Disney. Of course, at DL you can spend a lot at the casual dining places as well....:rolleyes1

I am so indecisive about this. I usually know what parks I will be in and have ADR's made at the 180 day mark when we go to WDW. While I would love to try some of these nicer restaurants at DL, 1) it is just DD and me (she is happy with a bowl of Easy Mac), 2) we staying at a resort with a full kitchen & 3) I have no idea what day I am going to each park.

To wing it, or not to wing it? THAT is the question

The ESPN restaurant is good too and a whole lot cheaper than any of the DLR ones. Plus all of the games.

.....and TV's in the bathroom stalls :scared1: (a man's dream john - TV playing sports 24/7). At least the one in WDW does.

Thanks. I had my DS set me up on his paypal acct. but if she needs the $ I can mail her a check.

Oncologist said to have it right before his chemo when his resistance is the highest. So today typically would have been the day before however, we had a mishap with his Dr. He left Fl Hospital to go to MD Anderson and we were to see him tomorrow but he still hasn't gotten his credentials finalized so we had to beg an appointment with the other Dr there. DH is really not wanting to deal with a different Dr but he has no choice. So this morning, I got up way too early to dash us over to the health dept before I had to go to work. But he wouldn't get up.:furious: So he is def going tomorrow.!!!! After the appt with the new Dr.

Yes, you can pick up any phone in the parks or hotels and make ressies but I have to tell you I have never had good luck doing that.

Thanks, Roger.

But, you say no luck with that, eh? I have had pretty good luck doing that at WDW when I call first thing in the AM for parties of 2 or 3 with some of the sought after restaurants (Brown Derby, Lecellier).

Thanks. I had my DS set me up on his paypal acct. but if she needs the $ I can mail her a check.

Thanks, I am going to try to get in touch with my Onc. today and see what she says. I really should have done this earlier. I guess the last thing I wanted to deal with was another shot :faint: .

Thanks for the pictures! I'm hoping that since we're doing Legoland the first full day we're there, that it will be a nice slow start to our Southern California trip. The kids are really looking forward to it. We signed them up for the Brickmaster club, so their tickets were free. Now we're just trying to find some inexpensive ones for the two of us.

Christopher.....I'm sure your boys have seen this Lego movie, it is so funny!

Thanks for sharing! My youngest actually showed that one to me this past weekend. I agree that the lego minimovies are pretty funny.
