Hi Everyone! Sorry I went missing yesterday and today - just really busy.

Yesterday was DH & my 19th Wedding Anniversary - we tend to be pretty low key about these events, but we have reached a new low:rotfl2: We actually spent yesterday evening cleaning/de-cluttering the kitchen, dining room and living room :faint: For dinner, we had leftover chinese food!

I sent DH an email in leiu of a card (I did add a Mickey/Minnie graphic to it!) :lmao: He called me after I sent it and wished me a happy anniversary on the phone - we had both totally forgotten about it in the morning in the rush to get ready and out the door!

Today was just really, really busy - full day of work, take DS to Karate, meet DH at friend's house to take down tents from last weekends event, run to Garden Club board meeting, home in time to drag DS upstairs to get ready for bed. I'm exhausted!

DS9 has been at Art Camp each day this week from 9-3 which has made getting work done at the office easier, but also adds dropping him off and picking him up into the day. Tomorrow is the last day and they will have their big art show at 2:30. This year's theme was "Egypt" so I am looking forward to seeing what they have made.

My parents got home from their Baltic cruise this evening, but they were too tired to even come pick up their dog. I get to cart him into the office one more time (he goes to the office every day) and give him back to my father! :thumbsup2

Thanks to all who gave their input on wether Nemo was worth the time at DL. I think we will skip it in the morning and if we are still awake and moving (the timezone change might help - but we'll have been going all day!), try it near the end of the day on Friday.

Anyway, hopefully I'll have more DIS time tomorrow or over the weekend.

Pamela

Our family of 4 is looking for 4 more people to share in a private (8 people total) tour in Cartegena. The tour is a "Mr. Emerald" tour and is similar to tour #2 , but also includes La Popa. The itinerary is not set in stone, we can still alter things if necessary. We have a DS9 and DD7, so we are trying to see stuff, but can move quickly if kids get bored! If this sounds good to anyone, please let me know!

Rental Car booked... but none of the coupon codes I tried worked...

Will lurk when were closer to the trip to see if I can score a deal... it worked for my air...

This is all very exciting...

Now for tuxedos... rent or buy?

Hey Sil, try this Contract ID for National 8572967

I had to cancel my DCL transfers from the port to MCO and I'm now looking to rent a car.
Anybody have a recommendation of where to try ?
We paid about $35 for a one way rental in 2006 and now it looks to be almost double that.
What is considered a good car rental rate for going from the port to MCO :confused3

I've been quoted the 90 minute rule at WDW too. However, I have never been kicked out of Goofy's. That's the character meal we do most often. I will stay until I've seen all the characters (there's usually 6-9 of them).

My only thought on your ressies. I don't think Goofy's is worth 2 dinners. In fact I'll never do dinner again at Goofy's, we always do brunch. It just didn't do it for me. Another good choice for dinner would be Steakhouse55 (haven't been there since they changed over though, went when it was Granville's), Wine Country Trattoria or Storytellers.

Not sure about Steakhouse with by 2 DDs... what's it like there...

You think I should swap the 2nd Goofy's for a Storytellers Dinner?

I am all ears...

I'd vote for "buy" if you have the luggage space. JCPenney's sells a 100% wool tux for about $100 and you can get the shirt & shoes for about $50. They always have sales. I bought mine after the Wall Street Journal did a review on them and said they were actually well-tailored for an off-the-rack tux.

HAPPY ANNIVERARY!

We're celebrating our 18th the night before we leave on the TOAL! I think we'll be ordering pizza and triple checking our packing lists to make sure we have everything. No matter how hard we try, we always seem to be up late the night before we leave which is why we purposely scheduled our flights for after 11:00 a.m.!

Thanks honey - now I know not to expect the restaurant 'Elways' downtown! Just kidding! The trip is quite enough!!:rotfl2: :lmao:

Sil, have you tried the company discounts? We were thinking of renting as well but I decided against it. Will take the super shuttle to Hojo.

Arlene! Long time no speak! I have not seen you in the chat rooms in a while! I hope u r well.

I check the intranet... and nothing was Alamo specific. There was something related to discounts we get Carlson Wagonlit (travel agency). I will have my admin assistant look into it in the AM.

We're with Budget (BCD Code: W810011). We're on the high end of cost (about $90), but we really need a minivan for the 5 of us and our luggage.

Thought this was rather fitting, considering today's subject matter....

Cute and oooohhhhh so true!

Maybe this is something new because they have been in suites before on the magic and never received a call. I did read on the boards here that the dining for the 7nt Mexico cruises were repeating some in the middle as you stated but I also read that the WB cruisers had the regular 3 restaurants, repeat same 3 restaurants, etc. So maybe only the 7nt ones changes for the summer. Anyway my friend emailed me the information after they got off the phone with concierge because we are linked for dinner seating and they wanted to let me know which time they requested.

Sorry, I know I don't post much here I was just trying to be helpful and post information I thought everyone would like to know :duck:

Thanks for sharing the info. Believe me, we all hope you are exactly correct! :thumbsup2 I guess since DCL is not very consistent with information all info is met w/ scepticism- like the "hassle free" booking. :faint: :rotfl2:

Let me see if this works, spread sheets do not transfer well to the DIS.

Dining Rotation Early

Roger- you are always so helpful!!! I love this spreadsheet.

I have made more progress w/ getting ready to fly to WDW on Sat am. I am used to just running out the door regardless of how the house looked. With the housesitter being here I will have to put a little effort in it this time. :)
