I was just looking at the catalog as well and was wondering about the Splash Caddy. I take it you like it since you ordered more liners. What size Splash Caddy do you have?

Penny

I have the small and the large, but I use the large one more. I've had mine for years...which is why I need new liners....and I wouldn't go anywhere without one. IF you seal it correctly, you can carry your money, credit cards, id...everything....into the water with you and not worry about leaving it on the beach or on a boat and having it get stolen.

Chrissie
Prayers going out for the family. How sad.
:sad1: What's going on this week? Just got a call from my mom. One of my childhood friends passed away this weekend. He's been battling lukemia for the past year or so. He's leaving behind a wife and 6yr old son.

It's going to be difficult telling DS tonight. He hung out with this family quite a bit since they still live in the same neighborhood as my parents.

And when you're not at your job, you're on the computer playing a game in "Webkinz World" to earn your kid more points so that he/she can afford to feed and take care of the pet.:confused3
and prayers for this family also. I'm so sorry.

Oh that is all my DD (14) talks about...moving to England! She tells me that as soon as she finishes school, she's moving there & getting a "flat". She tells me she loves everything English. Mind you, she's never been there!

Tell your dd that she can move to Wyandotte, MI and get a flat! When I first moved into the city I had an upper flat.

After you have a baby, you'll MORE than get it. :cutie:

Oh, no flashbacks!! Make it stop!

From the very beginning dh has told me that we (at least him & the kids) are NOT getting off in Columbia. I still haven't decided...... I did book us a shore excursion but, I am thinking that I should just go ahead and cancel it now....
I can totally understand his feelings -- we have always made it our policy that as long as we are resposible for minor children we won't go anywhere that is questionable and we won't ride motercylcles. ;)

I figure a DCL excursion should be relatively safe - I don't think I'd go off the ship otherwise.

Amen to that...Born & raised in So. California...and loving it! Wish we could get a bit more rain and I sure wish these fires would go away.

I was partly raised in So Cal also. Moved to the Bay Area after college because I was starting to put down roots and really didn't want to spend the rest of my life there. It's largely the same except we get a bit more rain, a bit cooler temperatures, a bit cleaner air (depending on location), and a bit less traffic.

Do get an equal share of fires though :confused3

OK - I give.

What's a webkinz??

Never mind - DS11 just explained it to me.

(I'll just crawl back under my rock now...)

.

I didn't know either. Just looked them up online. At least they are cute - unlike Pokemon (Picachu is, I still think, the single ugliest creature ever created).

So many comments.....
So many images.....
So many people to get offended by my commentary....

Wow. Bunted a fastball straight up the middle.

I know (by experience too) that it is good to wear a t-shirt while snorkeling so that you don't get burnt to a crisp, but has anyone tried those special "swim shirts"? Are they any better then wearing a regular t-shirt?

Here is a link: http://www.alexandme.com/Mens_UV_Swim_Shirts_s/9.htm in case you don't know what I'm talking about. Just curious.

I like them becuase they are less, umm drippy, than a t-shirt. I bought one in Hawaii last year so I could look cool surfing! I bought kid's at Old Navy for $10. My diva (DS8) wanted 3 - one to match each of his swim trunks. He walked away disappointed.

How did I know it would be YOU who'd come up with something smart-add?? :rotfl:
Lemme guess....you were kicked out of the all-girls Catholic school, too....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: But then, if you were, you probably did THAT on purpose.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm Episcopal. Although that didn't stop my mom from threatening to send me to all-girls Catholic school on a regular basis.

No comment!!:flower3:

At least none you are willing to type. :)

PITA does not describe the job even a little.:rolleyes1 All I know is we are glad it is over with.:headache: :headache:

it's all over 'cept the grumpin'

Wow look at that concentration! That is amazing how interested he is. Definitely going to be a history major I take it?

My brother was a history major (not education). He owns a record store.
I was a history minor because political science dept. had Friday classes, history dept. didn't.

No I'm special! :rolleyes1

Well...I'm special-est!
And if Todd leaves the linked group, I'm going to insist that everyone refer to early dining as "M.'s Dining" princess:

Yes, my DS10 has one that he wears every time he is outdoors swimming and loves it. We are getting them for the rest of us as well so we don't have to worry about sun screen quite as much when we are snorkeling. They work great! Also, my MIL who lives in AZ says several of the people she plays water volleyball with wear them and they don't get burned. I highly recommend them.:)

I wold really wan to encourage you to get off and look around Cartagena, the port itself isn't really nice, its very industrial and just behind the port gates, I had a lot of people run up to our and all other other buses around.

But once out its very colorful, I love the small painted buses, in all of the different bright colors, La popa has great views, the old town is great to walk around, lots of loverly historic buildings.

The beach in the city are not too nice so avoid, and shopping is nice, but take care go to DCL recommended shops in this town, and take small bills for other shops.

Do try for a DCL tour, you will enjoy it, just know the bits to avoid.

Hello, We just learned lst week that Athena (DD10) has celiac disease. Anyone else cruising with a child with celiac? I am calling DCL today to see what i need to do as far as getting it on file....Hopefully she will get to eat better than she does at home :)

The only hint I can give w/out a huge TMI alert is- it has to do with what happens during childbirth.

Yeah..well no child birth experience..I may have to have someone explain it to me on the cruise....ooh ooh I can use it as an ice breaker!

Chrissie

OK guys - one last post on this thread, FYI -

I have started to send out the Adults SM info out. It takes a while to type up each one individually. Please bear with me - I have just started the C's - working off a list so if your a Z - it may take a while! :lmao: (Good thing there are no Z's.) Also, I am again working in between appts so I have to take 2 breaks but I will be toting my laptop to the office to work on it while I'm there. See how dedicated I am.

BTW, yesterday was my oldest's birthday - he celebrated a whopping 22! :scared1: 22! I feel really old suddenly. Oh well, as long as I don't act old! He's a bit upset with me now because he introduced me to his new friend - male (apparently they are trying to hook up with 2 sisters) - and he spent more time talking to me then he did Andrew. Can't help it if he likes talking to me more than him! :rotfl2: Anyway, that is the reason they (SMs) didn't go out yesterday but I am typing them up now.

FYI, if anyone gets their info and decides to add on to theirs - please feel free to drop me a line - I prefer e-mail as I may not get on here that much but e-mail I have to check everyday. Also, please have fun! Enjoy! :thumbsup2

With this group, there will be a LOT of interesting ice breakers.

Shoot! I knew we should have used DH's board name (AskAGeek) instead of mine. :goodvibes :goodvibes Thanks Laura!

Maybe it is just me but this tipping is getting out of hand. Now we tip where appropriate and DH is a big tipper, leaves more then I would but when the tip jars started coming out on the counter at dunkin donuts and mcdonald's, etc that is where I draw the line.

We were just talking about this the other day! I agree with tipping where the service was really good. Unfortunately we live in a small town with few restaurants so we feel obligated to tip because we will eventually want to go back to the place... I hate that tips are expected everywhere!

Loved Austraila and New Zealand where they don't tip unless someone really goes above and beyond. We always had wonderful service without the tipping system... We found some great hole-in-the wall places. Wish we had just one of those restaurants here! One in Port Douglass had "George the Groper" that we "HAD" to go see... We're thinking "groper?? Do we really want to see this?? Turns out that George is a Grouper - a fish that they feed at that restaurant every night... Something lost in the accent there!! And George didn't visit that night, just our luck!

TMI Alert:
I can definitely tell you the frozen ones work like a gem. I was begging the OB nurse for more. :thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: Hahaha yeah I used a bunch of those too!

I have to partly disagree, whilst we do have issues and are not perfect, there is a lot of nice things in England and London is a wonderful city, I see a lot going on for the Olympics, and the rail links to Europe.

As you say places like Leeds castle Lake district and Scotland have beauty, we have a great country, but a few nasty people!

I enjoyed the UK when I went on my whirlwind tour!

Fill out the medical form that you can find online under the 'online check-in' section. We've already done this for my DD (18mo) who is tube fed

I am sure! The conversations will be very interesting...we will see whose personalities online as carry over in person!

Chrissie

It's often different in person, isn't it?

If Chuck is your travel agent, check your e-mail.
He's buying t-shirts for everyone and wants sizes.

Pretty cool, huh?
