I figure a cab would run $50... and assume I can get a car for only a bit more... Plus we can do thie pitstop/shopping thing?

Which rental car company has a return on or near DLR?

I have my mojo today... Gotta keep cracking!

Cab will run more than $50. A couple of weeks ago we paid $40 just to go from Long Beach Airport to DL. Paid $72 for shuttle service from DL to LAX for a family of 4.

Rental Car booked... but none of the coupon codes I tried worked...

This is all very exciting...

Now for tuxedos... rent or buy?

Hey folks - just wanted to say I'm back. Had a good time in Vegas but a great time hanging with Todd and his family. DS says that was his favorite part of the trip.

Very eventful day today. Dad had surgery, was in and out before noon. Everything went okay. Only thing is he's going to be crankier than usual for a few days. I turned in all my stuff at work and got my final paycheck. Well, not final, I don't get my severance check until next month. Finally told DS about the job situation a few days ago but it finally hit him today when I was talking about my final day. He says I'm not allowed to work some junky job like McDonald's or Albertsons (sorry Todd, he got that from Dylan's job). With all that going on, I totally forgot about a Dr appt. Hope I can get us back in before my medical runs out.

I'm actually going to try to catch up now....get prepared for Groundhogs.

I'm so glad to hear that your dad is doing well! Hopefully the job situation will be worked out soon!

24dd & SIL just got back from LV today. It must have been a LV week!

I hang the kids artwork on the garage walls. People have walked by and stopped to look and tell me what a great idea that is. We like seeing what one child makes and then the other children make the same thing when they get to that grade. It's really cool. We even brought the artwork from our KC house to our new house here in Denver.

What a cool idea! If I ever have a clean garage -- although my car does fit in the middle of the 2 car garage and 17dd's car is in the one car garage.... we force dh to park his in the driveway. ;)

I still have my 'Sunshine Family' and their house! I thought I had gotten rid of them and my mom was th one that freaked out. I did eventually find them.:hyper:

My sister had a Sunshine family!!!!

Sil, have you tried the company discounts? We were thinking of renting as well but I decided against it. Will take the super shuttle to Hojo.

Okay, only my crazy accountant husband would know this exact amount!:rotfl2:

You said it not us! :lmao: :lmao:

DLR Dining Ressies are done:
13th - Arrive 2:30pm - Dinner Goofy's Kitchen
14th - Breakfast at Storytellers, Dinner at Blue Bayou
15th - Breakfast at PCH Grill, Dinner at Ariel's Grotto
16th - Breakfast at Plaza Inn, Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen.

Interesting how the Phone reps say 90 minute time limit at the buffets... is this a west coast thing?

I've been quoted the 90 minute rule at WDW too. However, I have never been kicked out of Goofy's. That's the character meal we do most often. I will stay until I've seen all the characters (there's usually 6-9 of them).

My only thought on your ressies. I don't think Goofy's is worth 2 dinners. In fact I'll never do dinner again at Goofy's, we always do brunch. It just didn't do it for me. Another good choice for dinner would be Steakhouse55 (haven't been there since they changed over though, went when it was Granville's), Wine Country Trattoria or Storytellers.

The Wine Country Trattoria has become our #1 spot for lunch over the last year. You can dine inside or out and really gives you a nice relaxing break. The food is really yummy too. :thumbsup2

Glad to hear your dad made it through surgery OK.

And you can't beat having a glass of wine with lunch!!!!

Thanks on the well wishes.

Just show the card to your server before they prepare the bill.

Glad your home , glad you had a great time , Happy to hear your Dads okay , Good , now you got more free time to get on the 5 day :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 and tell Trevoy not to worry Dylan calls it a junky job too ..(but its his first one and he is earning money)    Cause I am tired of giving it to him :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh yeah! That's been on my mind today too. I'm still not sure if I can swing it.

And if you would have asked yesterday I would have said no way unless you promised to make good on the shark feeding. Trevoy had a mouth on him that would not quite. I had to remind myself that he was acting out because the trip was over. But I sure didn't want to go anywhere else with him at that moment.
