So I didn't really get caught up -- what do I have to do to get on the list???

There's a 2nd list (why is there always a 2nd list) of the scurrilous wenches and swabbies who have gone above andy beyoned the call of 'The Code' in the preparation of our voyage. This list is kept in a chest with a key..... 'tis not for the eyes of the weak and mild; but the pirates on said list may rest assured that grog will be provisioned.

Probably a boring story.....but I do love Steel Magnolias.

Before the 2 younger kids were born, I played softball on an all-girl team. My hubby was our sponsor, so we had to design shirts. He works with steel....ornamental iron, etc....so of course our team was named "The Steel Magnolias".

Very cute.
Slightly classier than my women's hockey team the Hockey Hos. We skated warm up wearing feather boas.

In a pinch, we've used a tennis shoe to prop doors.

We've been known to use the rope tie back for the divider curtain too.

Perfect, I love it! That movie is truly one of my favorites. The kids were watching it last night too and loved the part "hit Wheezer".

DH, Belleisthebest, kept asking me what was going on on the DISboards all the time, so I told him to join and he could keep up. I said that many had the same warped sense of humor he did and he would fit right in.

Anyway, last night, we were watching Steel Magnolias and that quote came on. (Yes he will watch chick flicks with me sometimes.) I didn't remember anyone posting it and he hadn't made his first post yet, so that is what he chose. He actually scored some points yesterday by helping us make FE gifts. We were handing out Save Our Pool flyers and making our FE gifts at the same time. It helped the time pass and we got some projects made. Great responses from all of you. I was laughing so hard I was crying. He will feel so welcome when he gets up and reads them.

I can't believe only 6 more weeks. We are getting so excited!

I keep checking for our cabin number, but nothing yet either.

DW actually made me watch the movie TWICE! Even worse, we were out of RUM.

Yep, she flys nightly with the exception of winds. And she is very sparkly and lit up too!

Oooo.... I got dibs on one of your verandah chairs! I'll bring my ZUNE and enjoy some tunes while I oogle the view and breeze. Then I'll abruptly make a diplomatic exit - after I snap a couple of photos with me lounging with a fak-ey sleepy eyed "look"... and book in hand.... probably a good sci-fi yarn that's being reread for the 11th time!!!!

OK... that's what I thought... so's maybe it'l just be me an' one of daughters doing the verandah "open house" ta just visit with a few neighborly souls with the open cabin doors? I think I'll still end up sheparding the folks in my group - shadowing them as they wander the ship as they view the canal pasage. So I hope to visit just a little bit here an' there (I imagine)....

I just make sure he walks a couple steps behind me! That way if he is behaving nicely I can associate with him, but if he's being weird, I can still pretend I don't know him!

And some who are leaving them behind on purpose!

I don't believe she was DISowning me, just DISavowing any control over me, my verbiage, and my "slightly-bent" humor. We have two cruises and a XMAS trip to WDW to complete before she will DISown me.

Those of you that are putting banners on your verandahs for PC day....
Are you making them yourselves?
If not, where are you getting them made?
What are you putting on yours?

Kinko's is always good for banners. They have an outdoor vinyl that will hold up and ask for grommets in the corners too. We have them printed all the time for work and they're great. Inexpensive and hold up pretty well!

Evening all. Doing a quick ketchup. DD and I just finished watching "Water Horse". Nice summer evening movie.

Six weeks (can you believe it) from now we'll be watching Fantasmic.

Upgrade question for those of you who have been lucky to receive one in the past. Does DCL call before they upgrade or do they just do it? Reason for my question is that we're going out of town next week and are still GTY. Don't want to miss that important call. If you have a TA - do they call the TA or you?

Also, Arlene or someone familiar with the toll booths between the Port and WDW - explain how it works and cost. Just want to be prepared.

We have been upgraded 2 out of 4 cruises and never got a call from anyone. I found out first cruise when I paid at the TA's office and the room number was different on the receipt. The second I was checking for early dining being switched and saw the room number a week before the cruise.

That sounds like a great idea! This way I'll be sure to have DH in some pictures too!

The best ones were from the Mickey 200 where they make cars out of vegies. DH stopped by with DS and they decided to enter. I was elsewhere with DD and DH didn't have a camera. I heard about it and DS kept telling me that one of my computer friends was there too. A couple weeks after the cruise she posted the pictures for me.

Good afternoon everyone! It's another wonderful day here weather wise. I think our 3rd day with no rain! Thought I was going to develop web feet there for a minute with all the rain we had.

Well I started planning today. Bought 3-day hoppers for DL. Used my Disney Rewards card. Also I went into packrat paradise and got out everything that is on dd's list for 5th grade school supplies! Sometimes is pays to be a packrat! I have an over abundance of glue sticks and crayons. Don't know what I was thinking. Everything is packed in a 2.5 gal ziplock bag. Still have to get a couple of items, but that is something we don't have to worry about.

We have also been trying on clothes, especially Katie since she is growing like a weed!

We are off to the show. Kaite wants to see Kit Kittridge and this afternoon is bargain shows till 6 pm.

Ift you've requested an upgrade that you will pay for, then yes they will call you to get your agreement. If you are just hoping for an upgrade because you are GTY, then no call, they just assign your room and you find out when you check online or get your docs.

Nope haven't requested it. So, I llike the surprise aspect. Looking forward to cabin assignments. If we get an upgrade that be great, but if not we're okay with the CAT8.

All I could get from my account with Sunpass is 2 tolls. 1.25 is the first toll before the airport. This is the 417 toll and lots of people recommend taking the 417 down to the back of WDW. Keeps you off I-4. 417 is a toll road and unfortunately it is not listed on the site toll wise.
If you stay on the Beachline, the next toll is .75 at the airport and there are a few more til I-4. Sorry. I will see if they can get the info for you.

Currently 74 going up to 93. Heard we are to have storms today. What else is new. Bet they will hit on my lunchhour

I can see that quarters are not going to spent at DL. What between needing them for laundry and now tolls after the Repo. Thanks, Arlene.
