8/16/11 cruisers and all others, join our thread for moral support

I'm in.:thumbsup2

I started WW in January and have lost 17 pounds as of yesterday (Tuesday is my weigh in day so if we decide to post our losses that's a good day for me). I'd like to lose 20 by Easter...and then set a new goal.

I've been doing kickboxing for two years twice a week but only saw the scale moving in the upward direction :confused3. I try to walk and have started again now that there is FINALLY no snow. I've been making myself walk while my son is at soccer practice for starters. Bought new sneakers too! Need to upload some new tunes for my shuffle.

As the main photographer for the family I'm in very few pictures and I hate that I'm unhappy with the way I look in them. Really want to look and feel happy in August and going forward.

Good luck everyone! Let's make some positive changes and lose some weight. :woohoo:

I've been getting Smart Puffs at Whole Foods since they've been on sale, and they're basically organic cheese doodles. Well I have to say, I'm not buying them anymore because I'm eating them like crazy! Next time I go to Whole Foods, I'm only buying things that are really good for me!
 
Hi all, I'm in too! I've been running for a year now and I hope to do the princess half next year. I'm doing my first 10K in a couple of weeks I hope I don't keel over! :rotfl: I think I'll be ok, I've been runing/walking 10K for a couple of months now. Last summer I was doing WW and doing really well, I lost 30lbs. Then the cruises came, when I went on my Oct. cruise I decided that I was going to allow myself to eat what ever I wanted since I was on vacation. I only gained 3lbs. but I have not been able to get myself back into fat burning mode. I kept on saying to myself that I would get serious after my NYE cruise but here it is April and I still have not been able to re-commit to eating right. I am still at the weight that I was at the end of my loss so at least I haven't been gaining. I think I'm going to dig out the Wii fit that I forgot I had. Thanks for the suggestion. Are we going to do a weigh in thing here where we report our losses? If so can I claim the 30 I already lost??? :lmao: Just kidding I know I have to start from scratch.

Well its the weekend and last night I made 3 cheesecakes - My friends mum broke her leg so one is for her and IM taking two to a BBQ this afternoon.

That will be my down fall today - as I'll be having a glass or two of wine and BBQ food.

To try and offset the damange I was at the Gym 8am this morning and swam for 30 mins;)

I've also mowed the grass front and back - its so nice to see a bit of sun the temp here today is 16 degrees c.

Oh well wish me luck and I'll try not to have too much

Good Morning everyone! The weekend is here. :cool1: No plans. We are going to visit DH's grandmother today. She is leaving for a 3 week cruise with DH's mother tomorrow. We will probably go out to lunch so, hopefully I will not eat much. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds before we cruise. I think that is doable as long as I get moving and keep going. Slow and steady wins the race.

So this is the last day of week #1...I did great all week BUT Saturday and Sunday's birthday celebrations may have been a little too much. we'll see tomorrow at weigh in, I do feel lighter though. :thumbsup2

BBQ went ok and I've tried to make sensible choices !

Just got back from aqua aerobics - I too am hopeful for a loss ( fingers x)

Not sure if I imagined it but I think my swimming costume might be a little slacker - either that or Ive stretched it lol x

I am not even going to tell you what I ate this weekend!!!!!!!!! I was only home to sleep, and even that didn't happen until 2am on Saturday evening.
 
I've been doing pretty well this week, and I got to the gym twice for a jog on the treadmill. I'm hoping to get to the gym again tonight, but I'm not set on that since I have a lot of homework and studying to do. :sad2:
 
Getting ready to go out and run 10K, I have a race Sat. that I need to get ready for. Still trying to stop eating so much junk!
 
Today was a good day. I did not get to exercise but I made sensible choices. Just got home from a meeting so now trying to figure out what to eat.

Now, if I can add exercise that will be great.
 
Oh not a good night, just got home from work, well not really work, but it's the first time I'm home all day. Went right from work out with friends for dinner, OH and a very good dinner it was. I hope it doesn't rear it's ugly head on the scale tomorrow :(
 
I didn't have a great day either. I wasn't able to get to the gym because I was so busy with schoolwork, plus they were giving out free cake at one of the dining halls (apparently they ordered too much and didn't have the good sense to smack a price tag on them and make people pay for them?). And I couldn't resist free cake! :rotfl:

I hope I'll be able to get to the gym tomorrow, but based on all the schoolwork and studying I have, it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. :confused3

I've said here before that my goal is more to get healthy/get into shape than to lose weight (I honestly don't have much weight to lose), but I decided to weigh in anyway. I'm down about a pound and a half!:yay:
