We have a 8:05 breakfast reservation at the Crystal palace - MK does not open until 9:00 (no morning EMH either).

My question is, how early can we/should we get to MK?

Has anyone out there done an early breakfast at CP or CRT lately?

thanks!

You'll want to arrive about 10 or 15 minutes before your ADR, and be prepared knowing that there will "likely" be a short little line of other ADR folks. At about 8 or so, the CMs at the gates will start letting you in (they usually have a clipboard of names of people who have the early ADRs). You'll walk in to the park and right down to CP -- great time to grab the photo of the castle and your family with no one else in view! Then you'll check in at CP and be seated.

Relax and enjoy -- early ADRs prior to park openings are a way of life and you only need to be there about 10 or 15 minutes ahead of time to glide right in.

Just in case you are wondering, access to the "lands," and therefore all the rides, IS blocked off until the official opening time, so you won't be able to grab a quick ride on anything before opening time.

Disney dining told us to get to the podium for our dining at least 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time. You won't have a problem getting into the park early if you have a reservation - just let a park attendant know. When we went last May it was really neat walking down an empty Main Street so you might want to give yourself an extra couple of minutes to take photos along your walk to breakfast :)

We had an 8:05 at CP last Wednesday, when the park opening was at 9. We arrived at about 7:40 am. They let us, and all the other ADR folks, in at about 7:50. We took some nice photos in front of the castle and then checked into the podium at CP. We were at our table almost exactly at 8:05. I let the server know we were anxious to be out of the restaurant by 8:45. Dh, dds, and I ate quickly, but we certainly got our fill. The characters came by one by one within the first 15 minutes we were there. We were all full and ready to go by 8:35, which surprise dh because he thought I was out of my mind thinking we could be finished and full at a buffet in under an hour.

We left CP and headed through the castle to the rope that guards the entrance to Fantasyland. When the rope dropped we were right there outside of Tink's Treasures for dds to wake her up. Then we quickly footed it over to Dumbo and made it there before most of the people at the turnstyles had made it up to Fantasyland.

This early seating breakfast is now a must-do strategy for us. We loved how efficient it was!

I think 8:05 is the earliest ADR for a 9:00 opening. I have been on the phone at 7:00 90 days out (when it use to be 90 days) and the earliest I have ever been able to get is 8:05.

When we were there in October we had an 8:05 ADR and they didn't let us (or anyone else) through the turnstiles until 8 AM. I wasn't about to make a mad dash down the street, so we got to CP about 8:03. It was fine. :)

thanks for the info... exactly what I was looking for!

Two more questions - how did you get to MK that day? (I guess I am wondering when the monorail and/or ferry start running from the TTC) Also, what do you mean by "waking tink up"? I haven't heard about that before...

thanks so much!
