I have 7p.m. ADR at CRT on MNSSHP day...........I'm not attending the Party, so does that mean I can't keep this ADR? I know regular guests are supposed to leave at 7p.m., but wondered if we can stay and have dinner there at 7?

You may be able to dine but then will be escorted directly to the park exit afterwards.

If I correctly remember what others have said, it's also possible you may get a notice that you must either cancel your ADR or purchase party tickets for your group.

Reservations of 7pm and later require a party ticket. If you have a reservation 5 minutes earlier, you're fine.

Unlikely. At 7pm valid park admission is a party ticket.

How did you make the reservation? On the phone the CMs read a spiel about needing park admission to dine, and online there is a warning box that says the reservation falls during a special event.

I have heard this as well. Guests must leave at 7, not before 7. Since you have to check in 15 minutes prior to your reservation, you would not be in the park anyway. You would be in the restaurant, not experience the special party perks. I am pretty sure that I read this question on the mom's panel on the official disneyworld website and they gave the same answer as Reddog. You will just have to leave the park immediately after your meal. No big deal. If you are uncomfortable, call Disney dining and ask a cast member. They are usually extremely kind and helpful. Or search the mom's panel.

Since your ADR is at 7pm, which is when the park is officially closed for the non-party guests, you'll have to have a ticket. It does tell you when you make ADR's for 7pm and later on a party night on your confirmation page that you'll be required to have a ticket.

"We will not be attending the not so scary halloween party event. But will visit the Magic Kingdom during the day. If I make dinner reservations within Magic Kingdom for 6:30 or so, will be kicked out of the restaurant at 7:00? How does that work?

Theme ParksHello Ashley. Thanks for your question and for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You absolutely will not be kicked out of any restaurant at the Magic Kingdom if you are there past 7 pm. What will happen is that when you are finished dining, you will be asked to exit the park. For Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, they issue coloured wristbands and have Cast Members stationed throughout the park at "check-points". In order to continue past these check-points, you would need to show your valid wrist-band. Since you won't have the wrist-band, the Cast Members will just direct you towards the front of the park and the nearest exit. But please don't worry - if you are still shopping on Main Street U.S.A. after 7 pm, there won't be a problem. Take your time and enjoy yourself as you exit the park, and you can get some fun photos of the decorations brought out just for the party!

I hope this helps to ease your mind, and I wish you an enjoyable dinner at the Magic Kingdom! Please let me know if you have any other questions I can help you with. Have a magical day!"

The question says a dinner reservation at 6:30 or so. This would be fine because the park is still open to everyone at that time. As others have said, a reservation at 7:00 requires party tickets.

Also, the Mom's Panel answer about shopping is misleading. If you are inside a store at 7:00 you'll be able to finish shopping, (but not purchase any party exclusive merchandise). If you are walking down Main Street you will not be allowed to enter any stores without a wristband.

OK, I made 3 calles to Disney.

1st call, CM was very nice, seemed like kind of surprised why I'm asking the question. She said I can def dine with 7p.m. reservation without party ticket.

2nd call, CM was kind of cold/very business like. Told me I absolutely need the party ticket to dine, so I need to cancel the reservation since if I show up I'll be escorted out of the park.

3rd call, Nice friendly CM. I told her at first that I've gotten conflicting information from 2 different CMs, and I need to know what is correct. She said she thinks she knows the answer, but she will have to talk to supervisor and check the writings on this issue. She asked my ADR#, and I was on hold for about 5 min. She came back and said, my ADR doesn't have any note requiring the party ticket(she said the note shows up whenever the ADR requires party tickets), and her supervisor said I can def stay for dinner at 7p.m. She told me to check in at restaurant before 7p.m., and I should be checking in 15min prior to reservation time anyway.

So CM on the 3rd call actually check with supervisor & investigate more, seems more reliable.....and I want to believe what she says is correct......CRT is completely booked during my stay.....so don't know I will keep checking a little earlier reservation until the trip...

I had a similar situation but for XMas Party and one of the available time was at 7 pm and the CM indicates that for us to take the reservation we need to have tickets for the special event, if not we will not be able to get seated.

The moms panel and phone CM's gives out misleading info often, so take what they say with a grain of salt.
I would be prepared to buy party tickets if you insist on keeping the ADR. You will have to have them if your ADR is 7pm or later.

I actually just got a 7pm reservation for CRT on a MVMCP night and it had no pop up, nothing on the confirmation page about needing a special ticket. I called and she said since it is right at 7pm, it's ok. But if it's 7:05pm ressie then I would need one. I'm not going to pay all that money for a Christmas party ticket to eat at a restaurant, lol. Anyways, that was my experience from a CM.

I just pulled up a 7pm ADR for a party night in MK and during the process this message was at the top of the screen-
Your reservation occurs during a special event, which requires a separate admission ticket for entry. Please ensure all members of your dining party hold tickets for this event.

Unfortunately the Mom's Panel is the last place you should go for correct information. The site is not monitored for accuracy by Disney. They give out wrong information fairly frequently.:sad2:

I just got the same exact message as Momto2inKC when I pulled up an ADR during a Christmas party. Seems pretty clear you cannot have an ADR for 7 pm or after unless you have party tickets.

In my party experiences even though the park is technically open to all guests until 7 pm they do try to herd non wrist-banded guests to the front of the park before that. You may not even be allowed to get to the Castle to plead your case. And not to be harsh, but the people you speak with over the phone won't be there to help you either. They can tell you whatever they want, and even if you repeat that to the CM helping you at the time, it won't matter. It is easy to say the rules will be bent over the phone. It is a lot different when you are there, in person, with a family getting upset and frustrated.

Yeah, that is what I'm afraid of. I can have 100 people telling me it's OK, but the CM at the CRT may reject us. I actually cancelled the ADR yesterday, not a big deal. We did CRT this Feb, and we are doing Akershus anyway.:)

I'm really very sorry.:guilty: And I think it is beyond silly that a company as big as WDW can't or won't monitor what the Mom's Panel hands out as advice. And that their own call center gives out wrong advice so often.

Have you done Akershus before? It is really a great place for character interaction, I have found.

I am in a similar boat but with BOG ressie at 6:50. Will we be okay since it's befor 7pm especially since we will plan on checking in at 6:30ish?

Yes, that will be fine. I would just stick to your plan of showing up early.

Yes that is fine. Just be aware that at the end of your meal it is standard procedure for you to be directed to the park exit.
