(Going April 24th).
What's it like these days? Has it calmed down any?

If we get to the park by 8am and head right there - my wife is not the fastest walker, so we will NOT be the front of the pack - what's our wait likely to look like?

(Yeah - I forgot to get a FP, and I have been watching for a while but they are all gone).

If the scheduled park opening is 8am, get there at 7:00 because that’s when they let folks in as far as the castle. Then get up front in the rope drop line. Another thing you can do is get a PPO ADR at Be Our Guest. Eat fast and get in line for the ride before the rope drop crowd approaches.

My wife is not likely to do any of those things. :-) Getting to the park by 8am is stretching it for her. That's why I asked what the wait was likely to be. A 40 minute wait would be okay. a 90 minute wait not ok.

Looks like the park opens at 9:00, so if you're there around 8:00, you'll want to position yourself at the ropes leading to Fantasyland that are to the right, facing the castle. As long as you're near the front of that line when the rope drops and you make your way there with the crowd, you shouldn't have more than a 20 min wait even if the majority of the crowd passes you as you walk.

The hour early into the park ONLY happens when the park opens at 9:00. 8:00 opening or EMH days, they don't let people in until about 7:45.

Park opens at 9 so you'll be fine getting there at 8am. You'll probably be looking at a 20 min wait if you walk casually there.

If you were arriving at 9 for a 9 opening then your wait would be closer to 60 or more min

Awesome! Thank you!

also, keep trying for FP especially the day before. People change plans last minute.
