We are not morning people, so I'm not happy about a 7:00 am EMH. But if I can get them there, I'm hoping it is great because so many other people will not want to get up that early.
The only time we did it was at AK and it was packed due to FoP. The rest of the park was empty and it was a magical experience. It's worth the early rise and I hate getting up that early!!!
My sister and I did one last Easter Monday. There were definitely some people waiting for rope drop, but seemed like less than an 8am. Then the crowds dispersed and it was amazing! We were ahead of the crowds all morning! Have fun (if you can get them out of bed!)!
But, if you DO happen to WANT to get to a park as early before 7AM as you can,
(to be ahead of the rest of the crowd) the more reliable way is by hired car (or to drive.)
I'm a morning person as are both of my ds' so for me 7 a.m. extra magic hours are the things dreams are made of...last time I was there at Easter we were at the bus stop at 6 and waited a very short period of time for the bus to arrive...we were never the first people at the bus stop but for Easter week you can accomplish an awful lot in those wee hours.
We stay at BLT and we’re walking over at 6:45 Easter morning last year. Walked right in and road everything multiple times. Beyond worth it in my opinion!
