If we drive to Portland and take Air Tran, am I going to see any better flights to Orlando? I found 79.00 (201.00 each). Sounds too good to pass up. Do these fares show up often throughout the year or is it just because I was searching flights in the summer season? Not sure where we will go for summer vacation, we just returned from WDW last month. Thought we would do HP at Universal next year, but this 79.00 flight looked too good to pass up.

I find with AT, they seem to sell a certain # of seats at their web discount & then when they're all sold out they start to go up in price. I'm not sure how long the discounts run for or how many seats they sell as we've always booked when we see the sale & I don't usually go back & check.

I have booked $79 one way with AT for Portland to MCO (for late May)... it was non-stop, but they changes it to a quick stop at BWI (I dont change planes). Doesn't really effect things too much.

The fares are good and Portland is a good airport (easy to get to, simple). Also check Jetblue .... they have no bag fees for first bag (AT is $15) and no seat assignment fee (At is $6) ... so $79 at AT works out to equal $100 with Jetblue.

If you check continental .. use their Canadian currency (pick Canada as residence), this will save you that Charge card conversion amount.

We used Air Trans last summer ($59 - crazy!) and are using them again this year. With seat assignment and insurance they were still the cheapest!

I use Airtran and Jetblue alot out of Portland. Love the Wifi on Airtran and TV's on Jetblue. Lve alsothe first bag free with Jetblue.

Yes, Airtran often has $79 flights to Orlando form Portland, Maine. Sometimes you can get coupons or vouchers for an additional $20 off!

March break 2011- I have scored out of Bangor= $149 going and today it opened up for March 13th and I got $154 coming back. Not bad for Bangor.

For Christmas 2010 - I got Continental out of Moncton for $290 plus tax. ! Sweet deal out of Canada leaving Dec. 21!!!!:cool1:
