Google was NOT my friend tonight.

Does anyone remember the backyard carnival for charity in the mid-70's?
Larry Fine from the Three Stooges did a commercial that played frequently
on our UHF stations.
This was after his unfortunate stroke, and people mocked him terribly.
He was the celebrity chosen to promote this activity,
and a family in our neighborhood with a large backyard put this on.
It was actually pretty neat - IIRC you wrote in and they sent you all of the
props needed to put on the show/activities.
Popcorn bags, posters, etc.

Anyone??

I don’t remember that, though a girl in my neighborhood did put on a fair/carnival to raise money for cancer I think it was, so now am wondering if she had made use of this to do so.

I don’t remember a carnival per se, but I do recall both Moe and Larry doing commercials. They were sad looking men by then.

OMG. We had one of these Carnivals in our backyard. It was so much fun. I can't remember the name of it. But I do remember spinning the wheel for a large lollipop and we made like a haunted house thing in our garage and other games. Forgot all about those!

Edit - found some info online. Pretty sure it was to benefit the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.

Thanks LynnTH.

Do you have a link I could look at?
