My first thought here was a fad in the early-mid 70’s of “scratch and sniff” T-shirts. I had one with oranges on it, my sister had strawberries, and the pizza one was very popular.

No idea what the dust was on them, canister had a certain smell. They were a potentially lethal treat, I remember taking a breath and inhaling them more than once. Probably why Lifesavers were invented and yet, Grandparents everywhere still put these out.

Anyone else remember the knockoff NON TOXIC crayons that didn't color, they were like wax with food dye & had a very unique smell? I can't remember the brand.

I'm not tech-y enough to post a picture, but Love's Baby Soft. There's a whole generation of us who went to high school in the early 70s that wore that scent religiously. I can still smell it.

That made me think of this one. I have a bottle of it in my bathroom that I bought for my mother.

I drove a 1976 280Z for a couple of years - LOVED that car! I saw one a car museum and just seeing it brought back the smell of the interior.

I loved Love’s Baby Soft and Love’s Fresh Lemon. Also, lots of Bonne Bell products including Lip Smackers and 10-0-6 skin cleanser.
