I'm still considering this offer. But have no idea if it's a deal of not.

First week of June (Sun-Thurs) in a one bedroom villa at Old Key West.

I've never rented points before so I'm lost!!

Any tips or info appreciated.

Might just skip this option completely and stay at the Dolphin for only $200 more for the week, better location. Ooh, but I did like the idea of having the villa with a kitchen.

Decisions, Decisions

That's a GREAT deal... 100 points for $700, $7 per point. If you don't take it, PLEASE let me know who is selling!

Well, it looks like a great deal to me. The reservation for those dates would cost 100 points, so you're paying $7 per point. Most points rent for $10 per point. If you want to break it down further, you're averaging $140 per night for a huge 1 bedroom villa at OKW with kitchen, laundry, etc.

Go to OKW. You won't be sorry.

And when you first walk in and see the huge Living Room with it's full size couch and love seat, separate chair, end table, coffee table, TV credenza with VCR, then glance at the full size dining table with chairs in the Dining Area, then open the Sliding Glass doors to your large porch with table, four chairs, lights and fan, then walk through the Full Size Kitchen with full size appliances including stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and island counter, then walk down the hall to your laundry room with full size washer and dryer, then go through the laundry room into the huge bathroom area and exit out the other side into your very huge bedroom with more bath facilities and jacuzi tub. Go past the TV credenza, King size bed, chairs, and exit your bedroom's opposite side, going directly onto the porch again. Follow that back into your Living Room, then tell yourself,..............

Gee, for only $200 MORE we could have had a regular dinky hotel room, at the Dolphin no less!

One bedroom units run about $400 per night. You are getting a $2000 value for $700. A studio at OKW for $700 for 5 days would be a great value, never mind a one bedroom.

There is no comparison to the Dolphin hotel room vs. an OKW one bedroom. Go with OKW!!

Ditto to all of the above! There would be NO comparison, especially since Dophin is a high rise hotel and costs MORE! No comparison for triple the space and your own laundry room to boot! I didn't even mention the in room whirlpool!

One more thing, that $900 at the Dolphin. Is that including tax? If not, then include another $100 tax, putting you at a thousand.

DVC resorts do not have any additional tax. So it's strictly the $700, no more.
