I love Duffy as well. I'd say watch the disney store online now and they might have discounted outfits during some of their sales if he stays in the Disney store.

Day 3, part 1:
Thursday, 8th November 2012

Another early start this morning to have our breakfast at 8.20. I think the early start from day 1 had finally caught up with me because I had a hard time getting up but frying pan in hand I was ready to face another day in Disney...
Ok so I didn't bring a frying pan but I was ready for another Disney day. Breakfast was the same as the day before with one exception I found mini jam sized packets of nutella :lovestruc

So once we filled up on nutella we headed out to the parks. We got there about 9.30 and the Park wasn't open until ten, whatever will we do?!
I know how about exploring the new World of Disney store that only opened in July 2012. But first pictures:
SAM_4318_zps15551d8b.jpg

SAM_4322_zps8ace3137.jpg

Inside there are many things to see when you look up at first it's like the night sky with stars only Disney characters in among the stars eg:
SAM_4323_zpse19e35b9.jpg

SAM_4326_zpsaeae6749.jpg

Then as you move in further there was a circular area in the middle and around the circle on the ceiling were different pictures that you could also buy, so some of my favourites:

SAM_4331_zps06e927fa.jpg

SAM_4334_zps9c917411.jpg

SAM_4336_zpsa9bbeb65.jpg

Then in the very centre of the circular area was a hot air balloon:
SAM_4340_zpsb6195cf4.jpg

The windows had Christmas trees decorated with Disney characters:
SAM_4344_zpsda83705e.jpg

So on to some of the merchandise:
SAM_4342_zps0ea80efc.jpg

Giant popcorn bottles:

20th Anniversary Duffy:
SAM_4345_zps9a2e2b0a.jpg

Christmas at Mickey and Minnies and you could own this little display for a mere 100 euro, eh no thanks Ill just take a picture!
SAM_4346_zpscc8c2365.jpg

As we were wandering taking in what we wanted to buy and what not I asked Momma what time it was and she went its ten past ten. WHAT? Why are we still in the shop the park opened ten minutes ago lets go. On the way in I noticed the other four parks opening dates were on the ground:
SAM_4348_zps8ea1fff6.jpg

Oh Florida I miss you:
SAM_4351_zpsa67dac80.jpg

Today we were going to Walt Disney Studios and exploring every inch of the way in:

Angel needed to get his picture taken again:
SAM_4355_zpsf5bacc97.jpg

So we went into the Front Lot and stopped to take a bazillion more pics. They had Christmas decorations on the lamp-posts:
SAM_4358_zps328c27f7.jpg

There was a few characters hanging around being mobbed. I skipped the mob and snapped this:

Loved this fountain:

Next up: Studios time!

The World of Disney store is SO pretty!

Looking forward to your day in Disney Studios. I see that Angel is anxious to get going.

I love those little nutella packets. why can't they have them in the United States?

The World of Disney store is SO pretty!
It was pretty. It was very big and spacious inside. Not as big as World of Disney in DTD in Florida but it was big compared to the other shops in Paris anyway. I'll have more pictures of the outside in a later update as well.

Angel is like the parks that way let's go :rotfl: I brought him out every day in Paris I don't usually do that but for some reason I just didn't feel safe leaving him behind in the hotel. I don't know why. He did provide some cute pics :lmao:

If it's any consolation we don't have them in Ireland either. I was tempted to stuff a few into the luggage going home but I didn't!

That bonfire/lasre/fireworks show looks so cool. Florida needs to add this somewhere outside the parks.
I am so glad I wasn't as far behind as I thought I would be.
I hope this day had less unpleasant experiences for you. I know different countries are definitely different, but it still amazes me how some people just don't use common sense.

It was a really good show. I'm trying to think where it could work in WDW maybe instead of the water pagent? :confused3

You weren't far behind I was catching up here myself :)

I can't remember actually whether I came across unpleasant people on day 3. There is some worse ones coming up on day 4 though :) It was really disappointing because it really took away from the magic.

Did I mention that the local musical society are doing Beauty and the Beast this year and the show will be on the week after Easter (my birthday week.) Did I also mention I'm attempting to do the chorus? I say attempting my work hours are all over the place so I sometimes can't make rehearsals before Christmas I missed all the dancing :( But tonight I've caught up on all the dancing I've missed and for the next two weeks at least Beauty and the Beast is on for me :) Fingers and toes crossed I can keep it up because I need to be in this show :)

Love the pictures from the World of Disney store! It's very pretty!

Can't wait to see more of the park from this day. Oh - and I love that they had little packs of Nutella. YUM!

I hope you get to do it... you know how we feel about B&B at my house...:love: It would be wonderful for you!

I had a hard time getting up but frying pan in hand I was ready to face another day in Disney...
Woohoo!!! Go Rapunzel!!! :woohoo:

Ok so I didn't bring a frying pan but I was ready for another Disney day.
Ok, that's a bit of a letdown. :worried: I was ready for some frying pan wielding excitement.

It kind of makes me wonder though what security would do if you tried to bring on into the parks... :rotfl2::lmao:

That must be an impressive store if it managed to make you 10 minutes late for park opening!

Well so far so good. I've managed to learn the dance for Be our Guest and they starting Belle on Sunday and I can go to that so I'll be in at least two scenes all going well :goodvibes

Woohoo!!! Go Rapunzel!!! :woohoo:
I know.. I said that to someone the other day. They said they were going to Disneyland Paris and I told them to bring a frying pan so they could go all Rapunzal on the rude people. They looked at me like i'd lost it and went "go all Rapunzal?" I guess they're not as big a Disney fan as I am :confused3:rotfl:

Sorry for letting you down. I was very tempted though.

Lol that would have been funny to see what they'd do.

There was alot to look at in there then I was being hugely indecisive on that trip about what I wanted to buy or not which didn't help how long we spent in shops.

Day 3, part 2:

So when I left you we were wandering around the Walt Disney Studios Frontlot. The Christmas decorations at this store caught our eyes so we went in for a browse:
SAM_4362_zpsfd29b61a.jpg

Again with the wow much:
SAM_4363_zpsc9d441b4.jpg

This was on the back wall:
SAM_4366_zpscc48b08d.jpg

They had cute themed Minnie and Mickey Mouse plushies as well:
SAM_4367_zps032f5685.jpg

After that we headed towards the first show but not before stopping to pin trade and this was the first weird pin trading experience I had. For those that don't pin trade, in WDW I go to a CM and look at the pins they have, so long as it's not on a green lanyard because they are only for under 12's, but I pick what pin I want and I give them whichever of mine I choose to give them. I don't know if it's meant to happen like that but that's how it has always happened in Florida for me so I was kinda expecting the same in Paris. So I spotted a pin I liked on the way into the show so I asked the CM to trade and he was like only if you have a pin I like and then he picked which pin he wanted.. At that point in the morning I didn't mind because I only had my traders on the lanyard but I did think it was a bit odd at the time. Anyways first show we went to was a show called Animagique:
SAM_4371_zpsca4d6e1e.jpg

It reminded me of a cross between the Little Mermaid and Mickey's Philharmagic. It was a staged show but to a backlight like under the sea in The Little Mermaid if that makes any sense. The main stars of this show were Donald and Mickey but Baloo, King Louie and a few others made an appearance as well. It was a nice show with some catchy music. After that we wandered over towards the next show we wanted to see taking pics along the way:
SAM_4372_zpsdc4fb163.jpg

SAM_4374_zps41833b30.jpg

There were things on the bottom of the cylinders here so kids could scream into the cylinders:
SAM_4375_zpsf4244833.jpg

SAM_4376_zpsfb2b6a95.jpg

This was a theatre and shop:
SAM_4379_zpsc0e4214f.jpg

SAM_4381_zps70fe53a1.jpg

In Disneyland Paris the partners statue is in the Walt Disney Studios instead of the main Park:
SAM_4384_zps45843056.jpg

Angel wanted to get in on the action as well:
SAM_4387_zps8c43977c.jpg

We tried to go see Stitch Live but the English version wasn't on due to technical difficulties:
SAM_4390_zpsa45a3674.jpg

So we wandered about a bit more as we were waiting for the next show to start. I spotted this on the ground:
SAM_4391_zps8f4a00f6.jpg

We were looking at the little stalls as we went as well and I decided to get one of these to try. It was alright but I'd prefere a Mickey bar :goodvibes

SAM_4397_zps71b53494.jpg

Eventually it was time to go into the next show which was called Cinemagique:
SAM_4392_zpsfc18f057.jpg

It was like the great movie ride on the big screen except it was kind of funny as one guy got stuck in the movie and had to travel through decades of different movie styles. It was good and we were delighted to be sitting for a while because today we were both starting to feel the lack of sleep from the first day catching up.
After that we headed down another side street towards our next ride. This reminded me of DHS. I so wanna go back to Florida:
SAM_4400_zps5cb0ee9e.jpg

And the cranes in the background is where they are meant to be building a Ratatouille section

Next up: Movie sets and a parade!

Loving all of the new pics and the descriptions of the attractions. We pin trade and I wouldn't want the CM's to pick which pin they wanted...I am glad it isn't like that at WDW!

It was a strange experience with him wanting to pick but he wasn't the only one either.

Yes I cannot imagine a CM wanting to pick off of your lanyard! I am glad they don't do pin trading like that in Florida!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards Nancy

Yeah it felt weird. Alot of them also examined the pins that you were trading them which was uncomfortable. It kinda made me feel like I was doing something wrong... spoiler but I actually complained to guest services and this was one of the things I complained about. More on that at the very very end though :)

That is definitely weird sounding about the pin trading experience.

The movie ride thing does sound fun!

I've caught up (I skipped the chatter). I loved all the pictures. I'll never remember everything to comment on, but I'll stick with the last update and say I can't believe the CM wanted to be sure you had a pin he wanted. I've never done pin trading (no interest in that or the Vinylmations), but I'd never heard that about trading pins. I promise to stay up-to-date.

It wasn't a ride it was a show on the big screen but kind of like the movie ride it went through all different movie scenes from across the decades.

You're grand no worries. I know. He was kinda mild others were more kind of blunt about it but it definately caught me off guard I'm so used to WDW and going up to one of the CM's picking a pin and handing over whichever I wanted to trade that I was a little stunned first.
