We had 7 wonderful days at the world, We stayed at POFQ. I am not as witty as some posters, but I will try to give any info I can about our trip.

We started out on Sunday May 28, It was my DS :earsboy: my DH :earboy2: and me :earsgirl: . We live about 65 miles Northeast of WDW and we left our home about 830 am. We arrived at our hotel

at about 11 am, we had stopped for breakfast on the way. We were so happy to find our room

was ready to check in. We unpacked and started off for Wilderness Lodge, for our lunch at Whispering canyon. I was sort of disapointed in this because they put us in a back room, so we could only hear the laughter from the main room we could not enjoy, our waiter really didnt play so it was kind of boirng. The food was very good, we had the buffet lunch. The chicken was to die for , my :earboy2: loved the ribs, and my :earsboy: loved the chicken as well, The unlimited milk shakes were yummy but I could hardly eat much they were so filling, the resort is beautiful . After lunch we decided to go to the Crossroads to buy some milk etc for the room. When we got back to the hotel, we thought the fridge was not cooling any of the soda we had brought from home so we called the front desk and within 10 minutes someone was there to fix it. We found everyone very helpful at this resort. Then we decided to go to Epcot for a couple of hours. We wanted to take in some of the Flower and Garden show. I bought a set of the new postal stamps.

They are really very nice, and I have been collecting first issue stamps since I was a child. We or course rode spaceship earth, and we also went to see Universe of Energy. The park didnt seem to crowded considering it was Memorial Day weekend, but the fast passes were gone for Soarin and TT so we walked around a while and decided to go back to POFQ. We had a light dinner from the hotel food court, :earsgirl: had chicken cesar salad which was huge and very good, my :earsboy: had the chicken strips and loved them and my :earboy2: had a meatball sub and absolutely loved it. After dinner we decided to call it a night as we had early ADR's at Animal Kingdom in the morning.
I will post day two tommorow.

Great pictures! I don't know how I managed to miss those postage stamp flowers when I was there last month.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting! I'd love to hear more of your trip and POFQ experience. We are arriving 6/10 and staying til 6/17. It is the first trip for my 74 year old dad and I picked this resort because I thought it would be the least overwhelming for him, but the kids would still have the pool and slide.

Cool pictures. I'll be staying at POR next April, hopefully some flowers will be blooming.

We had an 815 am ADR at AK Breakfastasaurus. We were at the parking lot gate at 730 but they would not let cars thru until 745. We made it with plenty of time to spare.

The buffet was yummy, there was plenty of healthy choices as well as the usual eggs. pancakes etc. We saw Donald, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto.

After breakfast my Ds and Dh wanted to ride on Primevil Whirl (reamember I am not a coaster girl)

Then we rode Dinosaur ( this one I can do) and it was off to EE. My DS and DH got Fast passes, and only had to wait 30 min to go on it.

I sat and watched the mountain as they rode. I saw them come down one steep drop and wished I had known they were comming, the face on my DS was priceless. Would have loved to have gotten a picture of that lol.

We rode Kali River Rapids, and as usual I got soaked. I really think that is one of my favorite rides at all the parks. It was pretty hot that day, so it felt good to cool off. We then went to see the Flights of wonder show, which was very good.

We went to see a bugs life because we had time, and we do enjoy this show. Then it was time for the parade, this was something we had never seen before, so we got a good spot about an hour before and had turkey legs for lunch while we waited.

After the parade it was off to Kilamajro Safari, I thought if we went late in the day we would have better luck seeing the animals since it was so hot. We did get some pretty good shots I think.

It was now time for the Lion King so we waited on line about 20 minutes (not bad). This show always makes me cry because it reminds me when my Ds was little and wanted to watch the video over and over.

We took the train over to Consevation station and spent some time looking at the vetanarian clinic. Pretty intersting, but the huge Cockroaches were gross. My DS decided it would be a good idea to pet the Komodo Dragon,

We were pretty beat at this point so we decided to call it a day and went back to the hotel as we were going to Magic Kingdom in the morning and wanted to get some rest lol.

We took the boat ride from POFQ over to Boatwrights for dinner. We had an 830pm ADR. The food was very good and the waiter was wonderful. I had the Prime Rib which was delicious and my DH had the Jumbalya, which he loved. My DS had the ever popular chicken fingers. We were definately stuffed when we left. You have try the Crab cake appetizer it was wonderful.

We finally went back to POFQ and called it a night.

Day three, we got to MK about 8am and had breakfast at the Main St. Bakery. I just had to have some French toast loaf, first time and omg, it was really yummy... :thumbsup2

We then headed over to Adventureland and went on the Jungle cruise, no line, I did find out something I never knew, if you have a child with you and you ask the skipper when you first get on the boat, he will let your child drive. Very cute. This is still one of my all time favorites.

We were hoping that POC would be having a soft opening but no such luck, I was talking to a CM and he was telling me it has to be completed by July 1, and that there probably would be a soft opening for AP's. He also said there is a posibility that Johnny Depp would be there for the official opening, as he had to approve all the Jack Sparrow additions. Very cool.

We also did the Tiki birds, and then headed over to Frontierland, where we rode Splash mountain, and my DS and DH rode TMRR. (not me coaster chicken). Next Haunted mansion (another favorite of mine). The crowds at MK got bigger and bigger as the day went on. I could not believe how crowded it was for the end of May. :confused3 It was time for the Hall of Presidents and we had an Adr for Liberty Tavern for a late lunch, so we got in with less then a 5 min wait for the Hall of Pres, again one of my all time favorites, my DH just takes a nap.

My biggest dissapointment was at Liberty Tavern. We had not eaten there since our honeymoon and had nice memories of it. Dont get me wrong the food was wonderful, I had the Chicken Ceasar salad, my DS had a burger and my DH had the pot roast. All were delicious. The problem was I had made the Adr so we could watch the parade from inside while we were eating, no problem we got a table next to a window and we could see fine, the problem was the waitress. I think she said she was Janet fron upstate NY. We had bearly begun eating, when she came over to get our desert orders, Desert? You have to be kidding, I havent even started my lunch yet. I know we had a late reservation but there were many tables being seated for lunch after us, and they were not being rushed thru thier meals. We told her it would be a while before we would think about desert and she seemed annoyed. My DH and DS eat pretty fast, so they finished thier meal and I was about half way done, when she came back again and insisted if we wanted desert we had to order it right then, I could not believe her. My DS really wanted to try the Apple Cobbler, so we ordered it, and she came back with it in about 30 seconds, dont know how she did it. I guess she was going on break or going home and wanted us to be done. Neadless to say her tip was very low considering I didnt even have time to finish my salad, which was really very good. We probably wont be going back to that restaurant any time soon.

After lunch we went to Fantasyland and rode Small world and Snow white, winnie the pooh and then we saw Philharmagic which is a must see if you havent done it before.

Next we were off to Tommorowland to go to Carousel of Progress, it is still one of the highlights of my trips, then to TTA my DS favorite. It was starting to get dark and there were no lines as usual on this so we rode around several times, The park is really pretty when the lights start to come on. I tried to take pix of the Castle while we were riding and this was the best shot I got lol.

Could not get one with our a pole. :confused3

We went over to Main St. to get a good spot for Wishes, it is truly a beautiful fireworks display. We had decided earlier in the day to see the second Spectromagic parade, as we knew the crowds would be thinner. We had great seats on the curb on Main St. where we could get out of the park pretty easily when it was over. Some pix came out better then others, not sure why.

Time again to call it a night, we went back to POFQ and just fell out in our roon, another really busy day.

Enjoyed reading your reports ~ Thanx for sharing.

Lovely piccies.

Great pics! Looks like you had a great time. We have an ADR for 8:30 am on 6/11 at Donald's Breakfast in AK. Can't wait!!! It looks like it'll be a great way to start our vacation!!

Day 4, we arrived at Park opening, and went to Starring Rolls for breakfast, my DH and DS both had bagels, and I had the unhealthy choice of a cinnamon roll, yummmm

Then it was directly to TOT and RNRC, fast pass for TOT and my DH went on RNRC since the standby line said 20 minutes, my DS passes on this ride because he doesnt like to go upside down. :rotfl: We actually waited about an hour for him, it took a lot longer then we thought it would. Then it was time for TOT, I dont care for that ride, so went thru the Que with them, but then took chicken exit. They both really enjoyed the ride.

Of course we did the Great Movie ride, I just love this ride, especially if the cm is really into it, ours was better then most. Then it was off to Who Wants to be a Millionaire. My Ds liked this so much, we did it twice. My DH got into the top 10 but we ran out of time, so he didnt make it to the hot seat. Was fun. We went over to Lights, Motors, action, we waited on line for almost an hour before they would let us into the stadium seating. We really were excited about seeing this as we had not before. IMHO the wait was not worth it. We would not do this attraction again, too little action for the wait. Too much talking and explaining. The stunts were good when they were performing, but we were dissapointed.

We had lunch ADR's at 50's prime time cafe, we had never eaten here before and were pleasantly surprised due to the mixed reviews I have read. The food was delicous, my DH had the meatloaf, my DS chicken fingers, and I had the Pot roast. Yummy. "Mom" was very good, she made sure all manners were being used, Unfortunatley for me, there were onions mixed in with my veggies and I dont like onions, when we were done eating, she came over to the table and asked me if I liked Trains or Planes, I said Planes not knowing what was to happen next. She picked up my fork and asked the entire restaurant to help her, and she started making a plane noise (along with everyone else) until I opened my mouth and she could put the onions in. Very funny :rotfl: My DH had the ice cream sundae and my DS had the Somemores, very good.

After lunch we scouted out the best seat in the house for the parade. It was very good, here are some of my fav pix from it.

After the parade we walked over to the city streets to see Mulch, sweat and shears, we always enjoy these guys. Little did I know they would pull me into thier show.

Next we went over to see Muppet Vision 3D, I really enjoy the old guys in the balcony. And of course my DS did the Star tours ride.

100_0613.jpg

We were able to catch the last show for The backlot tour, my DS really likes this one. After it was over we headed back to see what king of line for Fantasmic was shaping up to be. The line was already passed the Beauty and the Beast theater. We got on line, and waited about 40 min. before they let us in. The show was wonderful, and it was time to go back to the hotel for some rest. On the way we stopped at Mcdonalds and brought dinner back to the room. Thank god for Mickey D's. :thumbsup2

WOW WOW......thanks so much for your report. We love FQ too and always enjoyed the food court at both of the Ports......
I am not a coaster person but I can do the one fast upside down on RNR and would not do EE in a zillion years. Thanks for the report and that evil looking smores......ROFL.....

Your photos from the parade are great. Where did you stand to get those shots where it looks like everything is coming toward you, rather than passing you by?
