7 Nights…4 Resorts…I’m crazy/Your crazy 30 days to plan

Am I crazy..last minute trip, 30 days out to my happy place. DS planned a trip for him, DIL, 2 Grands, DIL sister and daughter.
Now less than 30 days out, asked me to come along (basically they want a baby sitter so they can go out in the evening) but who am I to say no…
Next up…which hotels? Will we all be together.

So, I knew DS has been planning this trip for months, and I resigned myself that I would not be going this time, we went in January and now DIL Sis and niece were going…
Lo and behold last week DS calls and says “would you like to come along “
…let me think about this for a minute…ummmm duh. Yes.

Where are we staying….so here it comes….well, we have 3 nights at the Grand Floridian..whooo yes…oh but here it comes again..we would only have 1 night the first night on Sunday..then for Monday and Tuesday will have to get another hotel (DS is DVC)
Ummm what?
Well 1 night at GF (DS and DIL got married there) is better than nothing
So I am in..flights booked 10/26-11/2
Now the search is on for hotels. Last minute that won’t break my bank, as I had Bo plans on going so my Disney vacation savings is not what it usually is.
But ..so excited for GF

So the search for hotels is on..DS and family have 3 nights at the GF then 3 nights at the Dolphin..flights are booked, Sunday through Saturday.
Well that got me thinking….i don’t have to wait until Sunday to go (DS coaches his kids soccer team) why don’t I go on Saturday.. at this point one extra night. Used points for the flight, had to put in additional points but worth it.
So now I will be going on the 6:00 am flight on Saturday, my GS Who is 9 will come with me
My DS and the rest will fly out on Sunday…whooo hoo

Now that the flight is changed,the hotels are next.
So for Saturday night for me and GS I booked through Expedia 1 night at the Dolphin, I had a travel credit one key cash they call it from a week I had booked over the summer,when I took the 4 oldest grands to Wells Maine for a week, fun, not as much fun as Disney, but fun to spend the week with them

So this trip will be DS and his 2 youngest kids, the older two will sadly not be coming, there mom (divorced) won’t let them miss school, it’s so hard going and not taking them, but it’s part of our lives, DS tries to get them to come at least once a year.

So the plan so far is:
Saturday arrival day at the Dolphin
Sunday. At the Grand Floridian
Monday and Tuesday at Port Orleans Riverside, I have never stayed her so I am very excited)
Wednesday through Saturday back at the Dolphin

So her it is. 7 nights, 4 hotels, yikes..maybe I am crazy

DS and family will be 3 nights at the Grand Floridian and 3 Nights at the Dolphin

So flights done, hotels booked, now looking into dining Hard to find reservations for 9
The cast for our trip
DS DIL and GS (9) AND GD (6). DIL SIS AND DTR (5j and SiS DTR’s dad and his brother
So now 9 of us

Trying to figure a few things out for our arrival day on Saturday, GS and I have a 6:00 am flight from Boston, and since DS and family isn’t coming until next day, I need to figure out transportation for us from airport to the hotel.
Any suggestions, normally DS rents a van (which he will agin) but not till Sunday

So another update. My DS is DVC and was on a waitlist for the Grand Floridian for the Saturday night that GS and I arrive.
Well surprisingly it came through so now it’s
GF for Saturday and Sunday
POR for Monday and Tuesday
Dolphin for Wednesday-Saturday
So now have to change plans for arrival day, I had planned on HS and Epcot now that we are staying at GF it will be MK and possibly Epcot, now I need dinner reservations for that night
Any suggestions? Also still need advice on getting from airport to the GF
