Whatever you see 7 months from now is irrelevant because July at WDW, starting a few days after July 4, is one of
DVC's lowest demand times of the year. When measured by how quickly rooms can start to disappear in the 11 month window and what is still available at 7 months out, DVC at WDW essentially has two demand seasons, a high to extremely high demand quarter from late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan and a low to moderate off-season the other 8 1/2 months of the year. If your travel time is any time between mid-Jan and late Sep, you will almost certainly find a 2BR at least at one MK or Epcot area resort at 7 months out because usually open are BWV pool/garden view, BLT lake view, VWL, and VGF 2BRs (dedicated). Moreover, other than VGF, you will also usually find studios at those resorts, along with PVB. BCV can also be open much of that period at 7 months out although that is less so next year because of the refurbishment that will be taking rooms out of service during much of that time.
If your travel time is between late Sep and marathon weekend in Jan, the world is a lot different. To give an example, this morning, December 23, you could have actually booked at 7 months out a studio or 2BR boardwalk view at BWV for July 23-30, 2016. Boardwalk view is often difficult much of the year but you can get lucky during the lower demand times of that DVC 8 1/2 month off-season.This morning at exactly 11 months out from November 23, 2016, the boardwalk view studio and 2BR were gone for both Nov 23 and 24 within 60 seconds after the online system opened at 8 a.m, with the result that someone whose arrival date is November 24, 2016, is already blocked out from getting a boardwalk view studio or 2BR at 11 months out.
There are certain extremely high demand times during that last quarter. Those are: first and second week of December, Dec 23-Jan 2, the Tues to Fri of Thanksgiving week, October from the Thursday before Columbus Day through the weekend after Columbus Day, the weekend beginning Thurs in Nov that has the Wine and Dine half marathon, and marathon weekend in Jan beginning with Thurs of that weekend. The other times during that quarter are intense also but those extremely high demand times stand above the rest. During the extremely high demand times, just about everything can be gone at a near park resort at 7 monhts out, and particularly studios and 2BRs, unless you are looking for only two consecutive nights for which something may be open at a near park resort. During other times in the quarter, you may sometimes find a 1BR but far less likely for a studio or 2BR. Even OKW and AKV can have issues for some days 7 months out during those extremely high demand times, and SSR studios and 2BRs have disappeared before 7 months out the Friday of the Wine and Dine half marathon weekend and for NYE.
As to the first week of Dec 2015, here is what you would have been able to get if you had tried to reserve Dec 1-8 on May 1, 2015:
VGF -- GV open starting Decmber 1 for three nights only, everything else gone for December 1, studios and 1BRs were missing all 7 nights, and dedicated 2BRs were missing three of the 7.
Poly-- Lake view studio was open Dec 1 but gone Dec 2 through 5, standard studio gone Dec 1 through 4, bungalow was missing only 1 night, Dec 4.
BLT: Everything gone Dec 1. Standard and theme parks view rooms including GV's gone for the week. Lake view 1BR gone three nights, studios and 2BRs 6 nights, GV five nights.
VWL: Everything gone 6 nights including Dec 1.
BWV: 1BR pool/garden view open Dec 1 and 5. Everything else at BWV was gone for the week.
BCV: 1BR and dedicated 2BR were both open Dec 1 and 2, but gone Dec 3, 4, and 6. Everything else missing 6 nights including Dec 1.
AKV: At Jambo nothing was open Dec 1; value, club level and GVs were gone for the week; standand savanna 1BRs were each missing Dec 1 and 4, standard and savanna view studios and 2BRs were missing Dec 1 and three other nights. At Kidani, everything was open Dec 1 but 1BRs were gone Dec 4, standard studios and 2BRs were gone three nights in the midddle of the week and savanna view two nights. Kidani GVs were gone 5 nights.
OKW: 1BRs and dedicated 2BRs open for the week. Studios and 2BR lock-offs were open Dec 1 and 2 but missing 3 of the next five nights, GV's were missing six nights including Dec 1.
SSR: Treehouses missing 5 of the seven nights including Dec 1, GV's open Dec 1 but missing three of the remaining nights. Everything else open for the week.
Despite the above i am likely with
@supersnoop in believing that you will have a decent chance for a studio at PVB next December at 7 months out. That has to do with it having a huge number of studios and likely will not be anywhere near sold out when you try to reserve in May and will likely have substantially more dedicated room time to DVC than PVB owners who can reserve the time.
Of course, standard view and boardwalk view would have been much more difficult, but I actually wanted the garden view.
