What are the chances of getting a 5 night reservation during F&W at a studio at Poly, Grand Floridian, Bay Lake Towers or Wilderness Lodge when the 7 month non-home resort window opens?

We were able to get 4 nights at BLT in a lake view studio back in late October 2011 using the waitlist. When I checked at 7 months, there was no availability, but I think the waitlist came through within 7 or 8 weeks. It may be more difficult if Columbus Day weekend is part of your stay. I would think your chances would be best at BLT>poly>WL>GF. If nothing is available when your window opens, you could WL BLT-LV and a poly studio. I think BLT standard and MK view are less likely to come through, given there are significantly fewer of those rooms and they are more desirable to owners.

Poly: Tough to say on this one, but I'd say there is a decent chance with all the rooms being studio's with the exception of the bungalows.

VGF: I'd have to say almost impossible. It is hard enough getting a studio at 11 months when it's your home resort.

BLT: Possible, but still difficult.

VWL: Another possible but difficult. However, with the construction going on it may be much easier.

Poly: Standard Studio is a good possibility

VGF: Definitely not

BLT: Lake View Studio is a good possibility

VWL: Availability seems to be better because of the significant impact of construction
