I called MS today Aug 14, to change our reservation from the Beach Club to the BW for March 14, I thought today was the first day of our 7 month window. But they told me that Aug 15 would be the 7 month window and was the day that I needed to call to change the reservation, that it runs a day behind. Is this correct? I know that this may be a basic question that I can read in the member book but I am at work and don't have the book with me. Thank you for your help.

The 7-month (and 11 month) mark are figured from the day of check-out (not check-in). You can call tomorrow to book March 14 only. You will not be able to book any additional dates in your trip with one call unless you wait until the date of check-out.

Also, anytime the day falls on a weekend or holiday, you must wait until the next day that MS is open.

I know it's a shock when you call to book and then have to wait!

Pam is correct. One of the advantages of using Caskbill's program it shows a "vacation report" and it includes dates of the booking window for 7 month and 11 months.:D

Your 7 month window is from your check out date.
So If you want to make reservations on a daily basis your March 14th reservation date would be counted from March 15 back 7 months to August 15 as explained. If it is not a popular time and you were to schedule the entire trip with one call you would need to call 7 months back again from your last check out date.
Hope this helps.

I guess I just type slow. 2 posts before I got this typed.

Thank you for answering my questions so quickly. I didn't realize that it was from the checkout date. I may try to book day by day to see if standard view at BWV is available.

tomorrow when you call - ask if any standard views are available for your entire trip - the MS will tell you - if they are great - you can continue to call one day at a time - if they are not you can try the wait list.

the time you are going is the first week of the food/wine festavial - so I don't know how lucky you will be.....

Have a good time regardless!!!!

Did you mean the Flower & Garden Festival? Food & Wine is in the fall. You may be dealing with some of the Spring Break crowd in March though.
