7 month booking, points from 2 different home resorts

Hi everyone

I currently own at BCV and at Grand Floridian and I want to make a 7 month booking that would use points from both of my contracts, but the website separates each of these resorts with a different member number (but I login with the same email). If I want to make a 7 month booking at Poly do I need to make one reservation with my BCV points and one with my VGF points then call member services to combine them? Or is there a way to do it online where it's one reservation using points from both memberships?

It sounds like you have 2 different UYs? If so, making separate reservations and asking MS to combine (merge) them won't work. That can only be done if the reservations are under the same membership. You can ask to have them linked and hope that you don't have to check out and move to a different room when they change.

If the points are current UY points, then you can call MS to transfer the points you need from one membership to the other. Then you can make a single reservation.

Thanks, yes they’re different UY’s. One is April and one is December. Both would be in the current 2021 allotment, so if there is no borrowing then I could transfer points?

Yes. You will have to call MS to do the transfer. To avoid a delay in booking, transfer the points at least a few days before the 7 month window opens.

Yes. Transferring points is an option, as opposed to borrowing from your next year's allotment of points. But it cannot be done online. You have to call MS to do it. Keep in mind that transferred points retain their home resort and UY.

Just to clarify, when you transfer, the points retain their own UY so you want to be sure the trip you are booking would not require you to borrow any points.

For example, if you transfer your Dec 2021 UY points into April, they would be good until November 30th, 2022.

If you transfer April 2021 UY points into Dec, they would be good until March 31st, 2022.

As long as your trip falls in the right timeframe, you will be able to use them without an issue.
