7-month AKL July 2022 with OTU and rent/transfer

I have 79 BCV Sep 2021 UY points

I have 200 BCV Sep 2022 UY points

I want to book a 2-bedroom standard view at AKL arriving July 31, 2022, checking out August 6, 2022.

AKL 2-bedroom standard points total 221 points for this time. Assuming 50% borrowing restriction is still in place and my available points total 179, these are my thoughts:

Book 2-bedroom standard at 7-month window July 31 through August 3, 2022, online using BCV points. Total points used 144.

Call Member Services and purchase 1 one-time-use point and book August 4, 2022, using 35 BCV points and 1 OTU point.

Book August 5, 2022, using the DIS rent/trade board or another service to rent points/get a reservation for one night.

This is my first time considering renting points and using OTU points. Is there a better way to achieve this result? I am not opposed to looking at transferring points, but that seemed a bit more complicated than renting for one night. I am assuming a 2-bedroom value will not be available.

ALSO: Is it logical to separate the 7/31 – 8/3 reservation from the 8/4 reservation or is it likely that I can get 7/31 – 8/4 with Member Services? I am concerned about the time it takes to talk to MS and possibly losing some of the days (ie. will all the days remain available during our conversation?).

You can make the 7/31 to 8/3 reservation and then call MS to buy the OTUP. They can modify your reservation to 7/31 to 8/4 then.

To get the following night...IDK. Probably a transfer is easiest, then you can just modify the reservation.

If you can get enough points transferred first, then you probably don't even need an OTUP...you could do it all in one shot at the 7 month window.
