Hi there! My name is Sarah and I am the ultimate Disney fanatic!! My family and I are heading to the World next Thursday for our 8th trip and are way too excited to get there!
After lots of calls and persuasion, we finally got a free regular dining pin for our stay at the All-Stars!

This trip is extra special since we will be in the World on Father's Day...my Dad LOVES Disney. We are surprising him on Father's Day morning with the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, which we've always wanted to do. For dinner, we are taking him to Les Chefs de France. We've never been there, but he's always wanted to go. I'm so excited to surprise him ALL DAY! It will be super special for sure!

Mouseketeers on this trip include me, :mickeyjumSarah (21) and:
DD pirate:(Greg)
DM :cutie:(Betty)
DB :donald:(Jonathan)
DBF :earsboy:(Justin)

Several of my ADR's changed throughout the trip. Our flight ended up being delayed over five hours on departure day, so we didn't arrive in the World til after 10:00 p.m., thus missing our Ohana reservation and settling for the food court....we had to reschedule since Ohana is our favorite and it caused some others to be moved around as well!

Looks great! Surprising your dad with the KTTKT will be so special.

I'll be waiting for your reviews when you return:hippie:

Well, our flight was delayed over 5 hours on arrival day, causing us to miss our first ADR at Ohana @ 8:00. A rough start to our much anticipated trip, but that didn't stop us from having a blast. We had to settle for the All-Star Intermission Food Court at 10:30 at night. Luckily, we were able to reschedule Ohana for later in the week, thanks to some awesome cast members at the All-Stars!!!

DD, DBF, and I had the Penne Chicken Alfredo, which is one of my favorites!! This time it was slightly disappointing with little taste. The best thing was the garlic bread. Maybe it was just late....:confused3

DM had some type of Rueben sandwich with the homemade potato chips, which were both....ehhhh, soggy.

DB had the Angus Mushroom Burger with Fries....he was up all night with stomach trouble that carried over for 2 days.....we suspect food poisoning....

We all had fountain drinks in our free resort mugs that are now included for each person in the Disney Dining Plan....these regularly cost $14.99. Everyone had Mickey Chocolate Covered Crispy Treats for dessert.

This entire day was just a disaster.....but things eventually got better!!

Oh, sorry you missed your 'Ohana for night 1 and had an "ok" food court experience. But, glad to hear you got some pixie dust and got it rescheduled. Looking forward to your reviews!!!

Oh dear, a rough start to your vacation but happy to hear things get better! I'm enjoying your report and am looking forward to the next instalment! :thumbsup2

I am so sorry your flight was delayed for five hours. That’s awful! AND missing Ohana?! Even worse! But I’m glad you got to go later in your trip.

That is awful your DB was up for two nights because of his stomach. :sad1: Especially on a Disney vacation!

Wow...5 hour+ flight delay, missed Ohana dinner (hopefully you didn't get charged the $10/pp fee, right?), had to eat bad food court food instead, up sick all night! Things can only can better from here on out, yes??? I hope the rest of the days of your trip have some extra "magic" to help make up for this first one. ;)

This is why we don't make ADRs on our first night. Since our flights from teh UK are very often delayed, we are cutting it fine to try and make an ADR first night anyway. OP, sorry you missed 'Ohana and (like jabead) I hope they didn't charge you the no-show fee once you explained (presumably you were able to call and cancel once you knew your flight was delayed).

Shame about the experience at the food court. We have always found the Value resorts food courts to be a bit hit or miss. Like you say, maybe because it was late :confused3 Too bad about your DBF though, hope he didn't suffer too much.

I had such a struggle trying to get through to the reservation center to cancel the Ohana reservation to avoid a fee. By the time we arrived in Orlando, I tried to call and the cast member said she could do nothing to help me. Instead she gave me an email address to guest relations and said I could explain my case to them to avoid my card being charged the $10/person fee. Three days later, they confirmed I wouldn't be charged and apologized for my troubles. Thank goodness it worked out!! :thumbsup2

Glad you got the no show fee canceled. Hoping your trip is getting smoother and the food better. :goodvibes
