Is anyone else getting really hungry?

Hi
Your reviews are awesome!! Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed seeing your pictures. I'm trying to lose some weight and I'm drooling at all the food. Happy Birthday!!!!
Joan:goodvibes

Yikes, losing weight is hard when all you want to do is eat all the yummy food you see in dining reports! I know from personal experience :rotfl: Good luck, and thanks for reading!

Thanks again for sharing your reviews - you're doing a fine job! I love the birthday cupcake they brought you - it's just so cute.:goodvibes

I'm pretty sure we're going to try CP for breakfast one day this fall - I'm going to try for a non-EMH morning so we can get into the MK early and get some pictures without all the crowds. And for some reason if we're going to do a buffet we usually prefer breakfast.

The cupcake was very cute :cloud9: Ooops, sorry. I was channeling someone else on this board :rolleyes1 ;)

Crystal Palace is great for breakfast! If you go, I look forward to seeing if you liked it or not. Thanks for reading!

I hope you and your DD's have a great time! And don't worry, not everyone's ice cream can look as perfect as mine ;) J/K. Thanks for reading Jo!

Great reviews . . I so enjoyed all the pics. Now I'm hungry and thirsty (oooh those drinks from France! I can't wait to try those.).

Sorry for the delay everyone. But without further ado...here is the ending to my very first dining report ever.

Day 7

I very much wish that I had more pictures of our last two meals at Disney but I'm very sorry to report I only have pics from dinner. Once again, at lunch time I completely forgot to get pictures of our food.

But anyway, I can still review it. That morning we'd decided to head over to Wilderness Lodge since mom, dad, and sis had never seen it. I think it's such a beautiful resort and worth a trip there to see it even if you aren't staying there. So after walking around a little we decided to have lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We were seated fairly quickly and our waiter was really nice. Took our drink orders right away and then gave us time to look over our menus. Now, I had heard all about WCC before. I knew the silly antics and the embarassment they put guests through. All in good fun of course! But once I saw them making a young girl gallop around the restaurant on a broomstick pony while everyone sang happy birthday to her, I snatched my b-day button off my shirt quicker than you can say "yee-haw!" I don't do well in situations like that, to say the least :rotfl: But it's a really fun atmosphere and it's great to watch all the other people who get embarrassed :teeth: Anyway, on to what we ordered. Mom, dad, and sis all ordered the pulled pork sandwich which they said was really tasty. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and I thought it was great. The chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful. All our meals came with fries. Well, mine did. I can't remember what theirs came with actually. I did get a picture of the re-fill my mom got of her iced tea. She said "I want a re-fill but not a huge one" and this is what he brought her. Nice straw too huh? :lmao: :

Later that afternoon we headed over to EPCOT. Our last ADR of the trip was for Rose and Crown which had just re-opened after being refurbished. We were all looking forward to this dinner since none of us had eaten here before other than the CS location. We were seated pretty close to our ADR time and had a WONDERFUL waiter named Chris. Oh my...he was so lovely and British. My sister and I were  over him. He was dreamyyyyyyy. Aren't British accents the greatest? They can say ANYTHING and it sounds wonderful! He says he was new to the job but he seemed an old hand at it. He was great at always checking up on us to see if we needed anything. Very attentive.

To drink, I ordered my first Stella Artois. Yum.

As an appetizer, mom, dad, and I all had the potato and leek soup. This was VERY good. And you can see the bread in the background which was good too:

For my entree, I ordered the cottage pie which came with a side of green beans. Once again, sorry it's halfway eaten :rolleyes1 This was excellent. It had a great flavor, the mashed potatoes on top were really good and I liked the green beans (It comes with more green beans than that but I had already eaten most of them, LOL):

My mom and sister both had the chicken pasty which came with green beans as well. They say this was very good and I tried a bite and really liked it as well:

And finally, my dad had the fish and chips. He said they were good but that he's had better. I don't know, I didn't try it. I'll take his word for that:

Ah, and so ends my first dining report. I want to thank all of you who took the time to review, it really means a lot. I had a lot of fun doing this report and I'm glad people actually enjoyed it :) Thanks again everyone!

Thank you! The Stella is very tasty. I didn't know there was a proper glass for it though. I'm glad they do it right at R&C. Thanks for reading :)

Hey, I so wanted to scream Stella when I ordered it! :rotfl2: But the Marlon Brando moment passed and I managed to hold it in. I'm sure I would have startled my fellow diners though!

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! It really means a lot. I had a GREAT time celebrating my 21st at WDW. I think I should do it there every year! :teeth: Ah, one can dream.

Thanks for your great reviews, so sorry it's over!

Oh, I'm so jealous of your accent. British accents are the best. I'm convinced my life would be 10 times better than it is if I had a British accent :thumbsup2

Thanks for reading! I'm sorry to see it come to an end too. But as they say, all good things must end. Too bad though!

thanks for sharing - I am so excited for one of those drinks in France!

Hi Kat! Thanks for reading :goodvibes

I am going to see Wicked in Dallas. I wish I could see it in NYC but that's a little too far away :rotfl: I'm having to drive 4 hours to get to Dallas and that's long enough! I'm glad to hear you loved it, I've heard nothing but good things about it :thumbsup2

Poohbear67, thank you for responding. I hope you have a great time on your trip in September! You're brave for going in September. I worked there in fall of '05 and I remember August and Sept. being so hot. But it's Disney so who cares? LOL. Have fun :)
