7 Days at Disney & the MANY Lessons We Learned Along the Way! My Jan 2010 TR

Oh my stars. What a horrible start!

There is no way DD10 would stay in a car with someone "ahem"-ing into ziploc bags all the way to Florida. She would walk to Disney before she would listen to that! How did Emily handle it???

I think you and DH deserve something special for dealing with all that! Free airfare to Orlando for life, perhaps? :flower3:

Getting everyone tucked into bed at CBR must have felt like heaven compared to being in that car. :cloud9:

Hopefully that was the end of the rough stuff and from here on out it was all good! pixiedust:

Oh Kim that is just so awfully terrible.

Poor baby---- maybe he had a touch of a virus- throwing up that much?

I used to get sick-- well, I still get sick:rotfl2: if we're going anywhere exciting or if I haven't slept much. I can puke with the best of 'em.:thumbsup2

:lmao:

Always been that way- when I was in 1st grade, my mom woke me up one night around 2 am and said "Get up, Jo, we're driving to Arizona!":dance3::dance3::dance3:

My cousin, 18 months older than me, had known about it for three months- they couldn't tell me b/c they knew I'd throw up.

Hoping your trip got a lot better really really quickly!:wizard:

Oh my, what a rough start you guys had. :faint: I'm so sorry you all had to go through that.

But YAY for making it to CBR and them having a room available for you! :cool1: I bet you were all so glad to just be able to lay down and go to sleep.

Looking forward to more. I sure hope things got better. Although I am sure they did! ;) :goodvibes

Rough start!!!
I know how you must have felt laying down that first night at CBR! When my kids are sick, I just lay there praying and listening for every little noise, ready to jump out of bed.
I hope it all improves!! (a little birdie told me it was a fun trip!)

Kim - Sorry to hear that Andrew had a rough ride down to WDW. I can definitely attest that you shouldn't tell a anxiety-prone kid about a trip beforehand. My son Chris did a "code v" as well call it around here at my house one night before a trip from on top of his bunk down upon his sleeping older brother. What scene and nightmare. LOL!

Can't wait to hear about your first day at the parks! Sea

Poor Jeremy!!!!:rotfl2:

If he wet the bed would it be called a "Code P" ???

:rotfl::rotfl:

So sorry to hear about the drive down Code V! That is no way to start a vacation! Love the lessons learnt! Great idea for a TR!

yes yes I am starting one... I am still figuring out photo issues, I think mine are too big? :confused3

As well i am exhausted at night? are you? I feel zoinkered by 6 pm!

My pictures are really big too. You can resize them in photobucket (if you're logged in) I think Medium is pretty good. I usually forget or am too lazy to do it. Plus sometimes it's nice to see details.

I am enjoying your TR so far.

I can relate to your Code V road trip. Most of ours wind up very similar. Dramamine has become a good friend of ours, and it stays in the car so that we don't forget it!! Although I did take it out of the car to make the trip to Disney - and it was a good call!!:goodvibes

Wow, what a start to your vacation! :scared:
I'm sure it got much, much better, though! :goodvibes

I love the picture of the kids taking their last links off the countdown chains!

Wow, what a start to your trip!! I am amazed your survived it without going crazy!! There is nothing like "aheming" or "Code Ving" in a moving car--not fun at all!! Way to be smart and grabbing the ziplock bags!!

I sure hope our car trip goes better--no offense!!! We have one next week and should have one next month to NC so it will be the first long ones since my DD has been potty trained. We have done a few short ones (4 to 5 hours) and she did well on those. :goodvibes

Looking for to reading about more lessons :) and magical moments! :surfweb:

Yay!! :woohoo: to starting a trip report!! Which image hosting site are you using? If you use photobucket, there is a resizing option built into the site before you copy the IMG code over.

Kim- i know you guys are supposed to be having a major storm and all, but daaang-- I need something to read over lunch. (Yes, food again.):goodvibes

Just kidding- hope you guys are safe.

Hey Kim!! I'm here...I just started a full time job this week so I've been trying not to check the Dis every 5 mins ;) That lasted 3 days...now I'm all caught up and looking forward to hearing all the details. :cool1:
They'll be calling the IT guy by the end the week to block DIS once they check up on you! J/K How else are you supposed to pass the time? :confused3
Poor Andrew! What a way to start the trip but here's some pixiedust: hoping he feels better and Emily's bladder gives her a break! What cuties they are
Thanks for the pixie dust! I think it may have worked. ;)

She napped through it at certain points. :upsidedow Free airfare sounds wonderful! From your lips to Airtran's ears!

You had a smart mom! I think I've wised up after this trip. No more advanced notice for little Mr. Andrew.
