Hello,
My family and I will be going down and arriving in Orlando on the 13th of July2008.I purchased the $89.00 dollar tickets.I have some questions about the tickets if someone has used this promotion yet.
1st is what happens to the tickets when we go the gate at either parks?Do they take them from us,or give us a wrist band good for the next 7 days,or just how will we be able to go to other parks if we don't have the tickets any more?
2nd is how much is it for parking if we decide to drive to the parks? We are staying at NICK HOTELS and do they have daily shuttles to the parks?
3rd is drinks, do they have the large cups with refills for a $1.00? Thanks for any info or advice on savings ....we will be there from the 13th till the 18th...

Thanks
Brian

did you select pick up tickets at the kiosk?

did you buy the multi day pass and have them mailed to you?

if you selected kiosk pick up, take your confirmation number with you on the email that verifies the ticket purchase. also bring the cc you used for that purchase.

enter your cc in the kiosk and confirmation number.
you will recieve your tickets there.

if you have the tickets, ignore the above.

a finger scan will be used for admittance to the park.
it will be registered on your pass.

you keep the ticket.
you do the finger scan each time and show the ticket each trip into the park.

if you have a voucher paper for the tickets, you go to guest services to pick up your tickets.
biometrics will be used for all tickets/passes.

call nick and ask if they have shuttles to universal. also ask what is the charge per person for the shuttles or if they are free.

parking at the garage i think is $12

if you buy a mug at universal, it is valid for life for refills.
refills right now are .69
refills when i go in oct last year were $1.25
i showed my AAA card and received 10% discount off the cost of the refill.
the ap will also give the same discount.

DH printed out the conformation letter "tickets" on his computer. We thought they would give us different tickets when we got there but since ours had a barcode at the top we had to show those everytime we went in and they scanned them along with our finger scan. It was kind of annoying since the "tickets" were big pieces of copy paper and they did end up getting a little wet and we weren't sure where to keep them as I didn't bring a bag some days.

Sooooo, if you lose your ticket are you just S.O.L?

you could have taken that paper to gs and exchanged them for tickets.

keep the barcode number in a safe place.

the tickets will be replaced at guest services for you.

if you don't have the bar code or confirmation number, gs will work with you to make things right for you.

they will do everything they can to make your vacation a delightful one.

when gs helps me out, i always ask if i can make a guest comment so the supervisor is aware of the excellent help i received.

i like to spread the "mummy dust" too!

if you don't want to carry around the paper you printed out with the barcode, you can go to guest services and trade that paper in for the regular sized passes.

mrs D, hey homie,

i don't know why i repeated myself above.
i said that same thing the other day.

i plead blondeness........

LOL, I was laughing at how llng it took me to post my thank you....But you my friend, are forever excused from any blond moment...I have NO FEAR when we go to Universal for the first time thanks to lots of the info you've provided me and other folks....I'm trying to psych myself up to do a T.R. :)

i'll read any trippie you write.

and i know it will be fantastic.....

I'm going to move this to the themepark board from trip reports board.

We stayed at the Nick hotel end May/June for 2 weeks and yes the shuttle buses are free. We also purchased the $89 tickets and when we put our confirmation number into the self scan machines our tickets were printed out.

That's the easiest thing to do. :thumbsup2
