I love the picture of your mom! Note to self, must try on Goofy hat next time in Disney World. She looks like she's having a wonderful time with your children.

I'm in love with the Wilderness Lodge, as you know, but I really love the look of BLT. And being on the monorail is such a huge plus!

Thanks y'all! I love that picture. It really captures the love they had for each other and the joy they took in being together it also shows the awesome personality mom had - she couldn't walk around anymore but she rode that scooter all over the World!

Nine more days until we're on our way!

....but without the munchkins

I'm really excited about having some adult time with my husband remembering that he's my boyfriend too!There are some things I'm looking forward to doing with him:

• Exploring the Boardwalk
• Watching Wishes & getting to really listen to the soundtrack
• Celebrating my birthday at Cali Grill
• Swimming in the BW pool
• Riding TOT (his first time)
• Strolling through the WS while enjoying the f&w booths
• Doing the drawing workshop at the studios ( neither one of has ever done this)

Any other suggestions for grownup activities? I was wondering about YeeHaw Bob? Is he more family related? Any other cool things we can try?

The photo of your mom with your children is beautiful.

We stayed at a 1 bedroom at BLT in August and LOVED it. We loved it so much we have 12 nights booked for next summer. The location is fantastic. My nephews loved going over to the CR for the arcade, Chef Mickey's, and some shopping. It's a great resort.

There is always the option of a tour....KTTK is something I have always wanted to do.

You will have so much fun just walking around WS during F&W....certainly my favorite time of the year

I did call DVC. There wasn't a 2 bedroom available for all of our dates at BLT, but we did get onto the waiting list. I was excited about the possibility so now I'm a little bummed. I'm trying to decide if I want to get on a waiting list for BC ~ Does anyone know? Can I be on 2 waiting lists at a time?

I've thought about Jellyrolls. We will definitely check it out. I *really* want to explore the Boardwalk. I'm excited about getting to stroll around and check it out!

I thought about a tour. I hate to take 5 hours of one of our days when we only have 3 full days. I'm not sure~ I'll have to keep thinking about it. It is ABSOLUTELY my favorite time of the year!!

Gosh, I can think of so many things! I'll just name a few.

JellyRolls. If you have any interest in dueling pianos, that's an awesome bar.

I've also heard the Scat Cat Club at POFQ is supposed to be great for evening entertainment.

There's a couple places I would recommend to get a nice relaxed drink. The lounge adjacent to the California Grill. You don't need to have a ressie there to be able to have a drink and take in the beautiful view of the Magic Kingdom! And Mitzner's Lounge in the Grand Floridian is a wonderful place to just sit and sip and listen to the band.

Seven More Days!

I'm very excited about having my birthday in WDW, meeting up with great Diser friends, and getting away from it all, of course. But what I think I'm most excited about is some time alone with Sam. It's been a few years since we've been away without the kids and I'm really looking forward to it. It's amazing how the time flows by so quickly and we change into people (grownups) who don't look at each other the same way. Going through what I have lately has just reminded me what a rock Sam really is and how much our marriage is the foundation of my life. Getting to go away together and just be kids again is so wonderful! I need desperately to recapture the magic in my life and experience some joy. What better place to do that than the happiest place on earth!

I cannot emphasize the importance of letting go of your touring commando and taking the time for some down time.

I love that picture too. It's not really a great picture, but just something about the feel of it makes me so happy! Can't believe it's been over 20 years!!!

Next week this time I'll be at the gorgeous (at least gorgeous according to TK's trip reports~ I can't wait to see it for myself!!) Wilderness Lodge eating dinner at Artist Point, waiting to take the boat across to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party!! The Halloween party was one of my favorite things last year. I love being in the parks at night, and the atmosphere is incredible. October has always been been my favorite month and Halloween my favorite holiday. (Well, actually, birthdays are my very favorite holidays because I love the idea of celebrating people on their special day.) There's something about running around the MK at night that feels so decadent... so freeing... "Boo to you and you."

Ohhhhhh I remember your picture of the Headless Horseman!!! It was from your TR last year!!!! Best picture ever!!! So many people try to capture him and he is just too quick!!!

I've been thinking about you off and on all day. IN fact, I was going to PM you to see how you are doing. Everything OK?

I am so sorry I have gotten so far behind. I am having a hard time finding enough time to keep up on my own TR, and on top of life, UGH!!!!

I wish I were up to Jellyrolls in my TR, I think I have a different opinion of it. Good to try once, though, to get your own look-see. I really hope you enjoy it!
