Here I am, starting a new pretrip report for next year. Now, I know to most people "this" year is not over yet, but I live by a different calendar. When you've spent your entire life in education, years start in August! So, this is report is for next year, which starts in August 2010. 
Just to introduce the crew, I'm Shannon. I'm 39 years old (honestly!) and I'm a Disney nut. I went to Disney as a kid a bunch of times since I had relatives in Apopka (Indian word for "potato eating place", the things you learn from friend Google!) Then I went a few times with the Clemson marching band in college, and a day trip to Epcot in the 90s right after it opened. We hadn't been in quite a while until October 2006 when we decided to take our kids. It was just as magical as expected and we started planning our next trip right away. We took that trip October 2009. I also went on a girls' trip with my best friend Courtney in December 2009 for her birthday. There are trip reports linked in my signature for both those trips. After going so many times, I realized that there were so many things to do at Disney and I wanted to do them all! So, I used some inheritance money I just got from my grandmother and bought into DVC. I'm WAY excited to be a new DVC member and that's the impetus behind my "year of a thousand trips."
My DH is Sam. He's an engineer, completely practical but amused by me and willing to go along for the ride. He loves the way things work but is content to let me plan everything. He can make me laugh about anything and relishes throwing out quiet zingers. He went to Disney in 2006 begrudgingly, but by the time we left he was talking about where to stay next. He really enjoys seeing the magic through the kids' eyes.
Our son is Morgan. He's a second grader who is very active. His favorite park is probably DHS because he loves Star Wars and Toy Star Mania. He also loves the "race cars" in Magic Kingdom. He's my emotional child who rides on the swings of his moods. He picks on his sister incessently, but when we recently had a car accident he took care of her and held her hand all the way to the hospital in the ambulance.
Our daughter is Lily. She's a kindergartener who loves anything "beautiful." Minnie is her favorite character, but she also loves all the princesses of course. Her favorite is probably meeting the characters, but she's my thrill ride girl as well. She loves BTMRR and I can't wait to get her onto TOT. She's a drama queen at time (we're going through a very whiny stage!) but is incredibly loving and snuggly. She is game to try anything and usually keeps a positive attitude about all situations (unless she's tired of course.)
We'll also have some other people along on our trips, like the two grandmothers and my brother. I have some great DIS friends that I'll be meeting with along the way too.

so excited for your new TR!! You will have lots of planning now with DVC!! I am starting to hyperventilate because my trip is almost here and I don't have another one planned yet!! I need to get moving!! 
So sorry to hear about that car accident. I hope you and your family are healing both emotionally and physically. I was in a car accident when I was young and my mom was driving and my older sister was in the front seat. Totally wasn't her fault. We ended up in the ditch, my nose broken, blood all over the seat, sister got whiplash, my mom was uninjured. It's a really scary experience but it makes you stronger in a way. 
She saw that fabric and *had* to have a dress made out of it. We're a little picky about clothing at the parks! 
(or you could say I'm obssessive... either way)
