I just booked a trip for mid-October, in a week that includes my son's sixth birthday. We're planning MK that day and I'm interested in opinions for a fun spot for dinner. MK closes at 7 that evening (because of MNSSHP, which we won't attend), so I was thinking we would eat outside of the park to maximize our time there.

Criteria: casual, fun, tolerant of kids who may be exhausted and melting down (I guess most of Disney meets that last one!)

Any recommendations? He liked T-Rex on our last visit, but I'm interested in other options. I know I'm late to the party re: ADRs but am willing to keep trying.

Thanks!

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge - The staff is funny and they get the whole table involved in the fun!
Beaches & Cream may be fun because of the great ice cream options when you're done!

Those came to mind because they aren't super hard to get reservations and they are more laid back!

Hope he has a great day!!!!

Another vote for Whispering Canyon. Fun atmosphere and good food and a quick boat ride from MK. If you can get a reservation Ohana may be fun too.

I'll third Whispering Canyon. We had my daughter's 5th birthday dinner there. It was a blast.

Ooh, we have Whispering Canyon reservations for another night but maybe I'll see about moving them! I'll also check out Beaches & Cream -- he loves his ice cream. :)
