65,000 steps!! Yes we did! CBR 1/29/09 thru 2/3/09

This will be my first time posting a trip report. I had planned on taking lots of notes, but when I got down there I realized I had not brought my note book.

I will worn everyone in advance, this report will be neither witty or funny as so many of these on the board are as I am neither funny or witty. But I will try my best to share as much of the trip as I can remember.

I am excited to share my trip with everyone. Please feel free to ask any questions or just share your thoughts!

Yes it was Super Bowl weekend and when I booked the trip I did think twice, but My Steelers didn't look good at the time so I went for it. I guess if I want the Steelers to win every year I should go on vacation!!

Rope Drop is by far the way to go! Low crowds hardly any lines, I highly recommend it.

It was cold, and it rained. It kind of made for a difficult time. You need to wear long pants because its cold, but they get wet from the rain, so that makes it even colder, etc....

Fantasmic was only on Thursday and Monday, but they had 2 showings 7pm and 8:15pm. Both days it rained, I know they had both shows on Friday but Monday it was pouring so we didnt even go to DHS to see. Not great to sit in the rain for the show, but people did it.

CBR is very nice. Our room was very far from the parking lot, and when your wet, you want to get to the room as quickly as possible. Didnt have much time to explore the resort, but from what I saw it was nice. We had a refurbished room which was nice and clean.

Mousekeeping did a great job. Everything was cleaned daily. A little confusion on the towels. We were happy to reuse them and we hung them up like the card suggested, but every day they were replaced.

LOVE WDW popcorn. I ate it everyday, and have the souvenir buckets to prove it. Boxes were too small (yes I wanted big quantities of popcorn) and the souvenir buckets had a lid to keep the rain out.

I had been dreaming about Mickey bars for years now. Couldn't wait to have one (planned on having one everyday). Unfortunately the cold weather prevented me from having one until day 3. But well worth it. So chocolately and creamy...

There will be more I remember as I go day to day, and I want to post my pics which I will do from home.

Yay Steelers! Just think...you got to enjoy Disney as your team was winning the Superbowl...that is pretty cool!

We live slightly north where Big Ben grew up. We cheered really loud for the steelers.
