.

Luckily I have some storage shelves up here they can go into. I don't own many sweaters honestly, but they go on multiple shelves that are "hidden" by sliding doors (not a full closet, but only a couple shelves high built into the wall). When I was younger, my sister didn't have quite the storage I did (I also had built in shelves in my rooms) she had a hanging bag in her closet.

If I had shelf space I would put them there but alas I do not. I store them in a rubbermaid tub in my attic.

folded and stored on the shelf. Nothing special.

I actually fold them and put them into a cedar chest. I think if I were putting them into a closet, I'd fold them and put them on a shelf. I think hanging them might stretch them out and misshape them.

They're just on hangers in my closet. I need them 9 or 10 months out of the year anyway so there's no point in packing them away.

One wall of my walk in closet (well...DH's and I closet, but he only gets like 10% of the space anyway:) ) I have shelves. I put sweaters folded on one shelf - about four sweaters to a stack. The other shelves have purses, hats, sweatshirts and work out clothes (those collect dust - I know, I am bad). I wouldn't hang them because the shoulders will stretch out and they will lose shape after a while.

Jammed onto a shelf in my closet. DW Sue spent a fortune on one of those closet organizers a few years ago, and I have a bunch of very narrow and otherwise useless nooks into which I can cram sweaters that I never wear.

I store all winter clothing in our suitcases. I just cram it all in. We have very little closet space.
