Hi Everyone,

I'm going to Disneyland from 9/5-9/9. My understanding is that the 60th celebration is ending on 9/5, so I will be there on the last day.

I'm not quite sure, though, what will actually be going away after the 60th ends. Do you know what will change after 9/5, and since I have only 1 day there during the official celebration, is there anything I need to see on the first day of my trip before it goes away?

Thanks in advance.

I'm interested also!!!! We are arriving on 9/15 because we have been twice during the 60th celebration. I'm a touch worried about ride closures but hoping it might be a little less crowded than the last two times we were there.

Make sure to see the Castle all lite up in case they take those decorations down.

Hope you get the best of both worlds during your trip :)

They really haven't said what the end of the Celebration entails, but as mentioned, I would make a point of checking out all of the decorations. Some may remain past the end of the Celebration, but DLR can also be surprising quick about getting things taken down.

I would also make a point of trying to see Disneyland: Forever on the 5th. There are rumors that it might be going away, but, at a minimum, there is a good chance that DLR will go back to a weekends only schedule for fireworks after Labor Day (which would be consistent with operations before the 60th for the most part). So it seems likely that fireworks might not be presented on Tue, Wed, or Thur nights. Likewise, it's not yet know what PtN's schedule will be like (nightly, weekends only), so I would try to see that on the 5th as well. My guess is that WoC will probably continue it's nightly schedule because that's how it was before the 60th.

If you wanted to have photos with the characters in their 60th Anniversary attire, I would also do that on the 5th. That is another thing that they could pretty easily switch out on the 6th. Likewise, if you wanted any of the 60th Anniversary themed treats (e.g., the 60th Anniversary Mickey Apple) I would get those as early on the 5th as possible. They could stop making them and then when they run out, they're gone.

I'm there those dates too, my flight gets into LAX in the afternoon so I'm going to get to DL as quick as possible. My absolute must do's or at least try my hardest just incase they're gone the next day/not showing are -
