We check-in in 60 days. I am so excited I might start an HOUR countdown...only I think that make me just this side of crazy.

We are going camping with some friends this weekend. They live 20 miles away from us and guess where we met them? At Fort Wilderness, last year in September. Isn't that random, yet cool? We also plan to use some of the time to figure out where the Christmas tree will go in our living room in the camper...where to hang the stockings, etc.

Has anyone been to the special Mickey's Backyard BBQ they do for Christmas Eve or Day? Just curious about it. We have dinner reservations on Christmas Day at HDDR. SOOOO excited about that. :) Christmas Eve dinner will be at Liberty Tree Tavern. We are also doing the Candlelight Processional dinner package earlier in the week with Rose & Crown. Gonna get tickets to La Nouba, considering MVMCP. Trying to work in some things that we normally wouldn't do because we don't want to sacrifice time in the parks, knowing this time they will be super crowded.

Anywho...countdown is ON! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

That trip is gonna be awesome. You have some great things planned.

We Arrive a little bit before you guys- December 16th-December 23.
We are doing Disney Mickey Merry Christmas Party on the 18th I know it will be really crowded but we don't care, as we want our children and grandchildren to see if for the first time. My husband and I both saw it a few years back and we loved it.

I looked for La Nouba but they must be closed that time of year or they don't have their dates out as of yet for December.

We will be staying at the cabins.

Well now they do have dates for December for La Nouba now to see if they do for the dates I need... Thanks for having me look again..

Yeah, it's the 18th I am looking at too. And like you, I know it's gonna be crowded but I just want to do it. :)
Not sure when we'll see La Nouba just yet.....

We just got home from camping for the weekend and now I am jonesing SUPER BAD for another trip. Not another one scheduled before Disney.
We did tell DD7 about the trip earlier today - she was so excited that she cried. YAY!!

Stinkerbell1973- Aww, how cute that your daughter cried... I know how she feels, as I love Disney too!

I did talked to my husband about going to La Nouba, he thinks it's a bad ideal because granddaughter is only 2 years old. He and is afraid she will get bored and start to cry, which means we would have to leave. So I may not get to see it this year. OH well maybe next time.

We are planning to fish a little bit too at the fort. We have been to disney 3 times this year so we don't mine taking time off to do stuff at the fort.

There will be 6 of us this time, my husband, daughter (32), son (28) if he can get leaves from the air force, Grandson (12, Granddaughter (2) and me!
Plus my son may have a visitor from the air force, someone he went to boot camp with, is station in Florida, may drop by and stay over night.

Are you planning to get a tree once there or are you bringing one? We are leaving on the 23th as my grandson needs to be home by christmas day, as his dad will get him at 4pm on Christmas day.

I'm hoping I get the same cabin again, if we do it will be the 4th time staying at the same cabin...

We are taking a tree. It's an artificial 5 foot skinny Charlie Brown lookin' thing. It goes in DD's room every year. It is delightfully tacky and we love it! :)
Please tell your son THANK YOU for his service to our country!! I am praying that he'll be home for Christmas.

I had to laugh as my daughter wants us to get a charlie Brown looking tree too.
I will thank my son for you and thank you for thinking about all the service men out there.

It is so seriously Charlie Brown. The only thing it's missing is the fact that it doesn't bend over. Outside of that, it's kinda pathetic....but you know what, it will be PERFECT and that's all that matters!! :)

And I just bought our MVMCP tix for 12/18. This trip just keeps getting better and better and better. :)
What happened this evening....DH gets home from work, we are talking about what to do this weekend. He says, half jokingly "We should head to WDW and go to MNSSHP Saturday night". I couldn't get to the laptop fast enough. NO PARTY THIS SATURDAY (or it's sold out). Oh well...I'll hold out for snow on Main Street!

Woo hoo, you will so love the Disney Mickey Mouse Christmas Party on the 18th as it will be the last one. That's the same time we are going too. I don't care how many people they have there, I just enjoy the music and seeing the snow. The tickets go fast, I just pray my son can come, but if not I will see if my nephew can come to the party at least. So my son's ticket, will not go to waste.

Last time, I had a ticket left over from Halloween party as my son in law couldn't get off work. But I was able to give it to a young boy that came with some kind of day camp for children in the inter city program. It's really hard to give people tickets for free, they look at you so funny and say no... lol

I'm hoping we get cabin #118 again. I'm also praying that we have nice weather...

Is cabin 118 one of the ones in the 100 loop?
We always request the 500 loop. Crossing my fingers for Dec too. :)

I tried to give away Test Track FP's when we were there last Feb and it was funny to me too how many people just looked at me like I was crazy. Oh well, to each their own.

DD's alarm is going off...."Be Our Guest" is the song that came on. We're such a DIS family. :)

I will join in....We are going the 14th to the 21st of Dec. Also a cabin dweller. I think we are going rogue and not requesting a cabin loop this time. Just see what we end up with. We have 4 days at the parks and 2 just chilling out at the Fort.

I am hoping the weather is good. I don't need sunbathing weather. Just no cold rain.

I have called Kenny for the golf cart and now I am looking for those solar lights that I bought a few years ago to tape on the golf cart. Also thinking about stopping at publics on the way and getting a few things to decorate the GC. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Goin rogue!
I like that.
We must be kindred spirits. I never request a loop.
Livin life on the edge, suits me just fine.
One less thing to stress about!
Seriously, it is Fort Wilderness at Disney!

Yes cabin 118 is in the 100 loop, I love it, as it's close to the Marina.

Skyw - you are arriving 2 days before us... Woo Hoo, there is going to be a lot of Dis'ers at Disney for Christmas week...
Is your family going to the Christmas Party on the 18th?
We are using Kenny for two golf carts too!

We plan to shop once we arrive too, as there is going to be too many of us in the carvan on the way down. My husband's isn't like my daughter.. He doesn't like the carvan packed with too much stuff.. lol

Never heard of the Solar lights for the golf cart? You will have to tell me about them... lol

No on the Christmas party. I couldn't stomach the cost. :scared1:. Loved to some day. But we are scheduled for Hoopdedo on that day. YES!!!! Never been and I am excited.

Get those solar lights at target and tape them to your Golf cart top. I put the solar part out to get the sun when we are in the parks. And then tuck it away while you are traveling around. I think I am also going to get some tinsel for it too. It is so much fun driving around at night with those Christmas lights on. :santa:

Amen to that. I did see some pictures of some standing water.....but I am still going Rogue. I might get lucky and get the 100 loop. :woohoo:

I kinda wish I had it in me to be rogue and NOT request a loop. We do it mostly for ease and convenience. 500 is close to everything - the marina, the playground, the dog park...the bike ride to the pool is easy. We're most comfortable there, I guess.
We arrive the 17th.
Still looking at La Nouba, hoping they do another discount for AP holders. There is currently a discount for DVC and military. I'll buy around Thanksgiving just to be sure if a discount isn't available (and what will happen is this...I'll buy and the next day, the discount will come. haha)
But like luckycharm said, what's to worry about - it's camping at the Fort!!
