It's 60 days today until we arrive at AKL (then OKW) so I had my list of 16 days of fastpasses to book for 5 people and was sat at my computer one minute before 12pm (5 hours ahead here in England) and I've only just finished! I booked what I could in the first 90 minutes then spent nearly two hours tweaking them again and again and again...........somebody stop me aaarrgghh

What frustrates me the most is that the times I have now got didn't come up in the first place. I had to risk losing some fastpasses to gain better times in others, my nerves are in tatters.

I still haven't finished though as it only opened up the first 14 days, so we still have Christmas day to sort tomorrow and 26th December to sort out the following day. What a system, it's the same with the refillable drinks - Disney seems to think 'length of stay' is 14 days maximum.

You'll have to wait until you are 60 days out from Dec 25 and then 60 days out from the 26th.

The other thing you can do is call IT and ask them to unlock those days. Others with longer tickets and onsite stays have booked for up to 20 or 21 days.

Thank you. We have 21 day WDW passes but we thought it was something to do with us renting DVC points. It looks like I'll be at the computer Wednesday and Thursday as well, although only for 5-10 minutes this time.

With your tickets, you should have been able to book for the 25th and 26th. If they are locking you out at 14 days max, you might not be able to pre-book for those two days - you'd have to use a day then book a day.

You may want to email with your onsite reservation number and ticket number to ask if they can unlock the final two days for you.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will try at midday tomorrow and if it is still blocked I will call straight away. The busiest two days of our trip are blocked out, typical! I think 7DMT will be a distant dream on 26th now :worried:

Forgot to add that we do 16 or 17 nights every year over Christmas but I don't remember this happening before, but maybe I just have a bad memory. No point in asking anyone else in the party as it always falls to me to organise but at least it gets me all excited for Christmas in WDW :santa:

60 days out from Dec 25th is next week.

It's best to email now and direct your questions to IT.

60 days from check in at our WDW resort is today, which is why we can book all the fastpasses for the whole trip at midday today (supposedly). I think I will sort it out now.

I rang Disney and after one hour on the phone I am no further along.

First of all they tell me you can only book 10 days at once, so I said 'really? I've booked 14 already', oh right, and off they go and come back and say 'yes, you can only book 14 days at once', so I said 'no, that's not true as we do this every year', oh right, and off they go and come back and say 'yes, it's our policy, only 14 days is the most you can book', so I said 'can I see this policy, where is it online for customers to see', and off they go and come back and say ' we can't find it online, sorry' so I say 'so we've spent many thousands of dollars to stay in deluxe disney accommodation for 16 nights over Christmas and we can't book fastpasses for the whole trip?' and they say 'no'. Then he said 'cancel the first two days then you should will be able to book the last two' so I said 'are you sure? I don't want to lose our first two days, then find it didn't work' and he says 'i don't know whether it works, but it might'. GREAT THANKS!

It got worse, he then said we would have to wait until we'd used the first day's fastpasses and then book 25th etc, etc, which is just ridiculous and turns out he was just making it up as he went along. I took it further and said I was going to make a complaint and now we have to ring another number tomorrow. But we still can't book our fastpasses for the last two days.

Jackie, were you speaking with IT?

The only other thing you can try is delete 2 days of AK FPs and book for the 25th and 26th now. And if your booking gets resolved with phone call #2, go back in and book for AK.

Yes, started off with guest services and got transferred to IT, and it was there I had the conversation I wrote about. He was conversing with other IT people as well and they really didn't know what they were doing and what their systems rules and restrictions were. I've got to ring guest services again today as I want to make a complaint. 1. About the fact this supposed rule isn't made known to guests booking for longer stays in WDW (lots of people from UK come for longer than 2 weeks, which is why we have 21 day tickets exclusively available to us) 2. IT were just making up the rules as they went along, as every time I challenged what they said, they just made up something else.

The problem with cancelling the fastpasses is getting 7DMT again on our 2nd day, if I give it up and find booking for 25th/26th doesn't work after all. I am going to try at midday today just in case then take it further from there. I have had less than 5 hours sleep as all this was going round my head :(

That's why you need to cancel out your Animal Kingdom FPs to open up the 25th and 26th. The system is giving you 14 days of FPs so you'll be able to book for the 25th and 26th if you delete two days of AK FPs.

It's easier to rebook for AK as you don't really need FPs there.

Thanks for all your help but at 12pm today (UK time) Christmas day opened up for our fastpasses so we are hopefully 26th will open up at 12pm as well then we are all set. In response to your previous suggestion, we don't make any fastpass reservations for AK. We go on a day with EMH in the morning, then use our fastpasses at MK in the afternoon.

My only problem now is stopping myself from tweaking then constantly until we go!

Thanks for reporting! So, it's a rolling 60-day window for a 14-day period when you have a lengthy ticket. Interesting!!

I know, and if that information was made available to us, we wouldn't have been through all this turmoil, that is the frustrating bit. Also, even though I was on the phone yesterday for 1 hour 7 mins (although some on hold) their IT department didn't seem to know this either and were guessing all the time :badpc:.

I must remember this for next Christmas
