How cute are the car topiaries? Adorable! Almost as cute as Mark in his teeny tiny sombrero.:thumbsup2

We love the Gran Fiesta boat ride too. I actually love the whole pavillion!

The F&G looks so fantastic, everything is in bloom. Beautiful pics Kat!:)

more wonderful pics. :thumbsup2

Love the hat...

and the grand fiesta tour is a must for me. Not sure why... I love it more than small world.

Thanks, Ann. I couldn't believe he picked out the tiniest one to put on his head. I could love almost anything more than small world. :rotfl:

Yay for topiaries that make me smile, Donald and hats!!! Fun update.

Thanks, Cynthia...glad I could make you smile after the dayyou had.

I love how they decorate EPCOT for F&G. I really, really want to see F&G and F&W sometime, but those are just 2 times of the year that are the worst possible times for me to go anywhere. :faint:

It comes with the job...too bad because you are truly missing a beautiful time.

I saw the Cars topiaries in another TR also, and I have to say that I love what they did with that area.

It was really a very cool area.

Love the creativity in the topiaries.

Isn't it amazing what they do? They had a whole history in the Festival Center which I wish we'd had more time to read. Next time for sure.

The part of the F&G festival that always catches my eye is the huge field of flowers by the lagoon under the monorail tracks. That's an amazing wall of color. I remember wanting to get a picture of the monorail gliding over it and being disappointed when I found out they were only there during the festival. :sad2:

The put Christmas flowers there in December.

Those cars topiaries are so cute! I'm always amazed at how "life-like" they can get those.

It really is amazing...a lot of them seem life-like.

I'm excited to see if you guys get food from some of the booths. I'm probably going to be there during Flower & Garden next year.

No, we didn't end up doing that. We were so intent on seeing all the topiaries that we didn't bother with the booths. :(

Thank you very much. My husband cracks me up. Alisha and Mark took a "day off" from wedding stuff today to just chill...they went shopping, for a drive, etc. Alisha took a picture of Markie trying on a hat and I showed it to Mark. My husband yelled that he was cutting in on his territory! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Too funny!! Like father, like son :)

The man is a nut!

Those cars topiaries are so awesome! :)

I thought so too...they did a great job with them.

How cute are the car topiaries? Adorable! Almost as cute as Mark in his teeny tiny sombrero.:thumbsup2

I wouldn't go that far, Molly. :rotfl2:

We love the Gran Fiesta boat ride too. I actually love the whole pavillion!

Even though it is much like that dreaded China boat ride, it's not as bad. And I agree...it's a beautiful pavillion.

The F&G looks so fantastic, everything is in bloom. Beautiful pics Kat!:)

Thank you friend.

By this time, we were getting hungry even though we'd had a big breakfast at Boma (walking will do that to you).

However, before we stopped for something to eat, we decided to ride Maelstrom because there was no line for it.

Yes, Brenda, you can see outside:

I have to say that they best be coming out with some new hats...we are running out of ones to try on:

We then proceeded to go to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe for some lunch. Mark and I decided to share the Ham and Apple Sandwich (Ham, Apple and Jarlsberg and Muenster Cheese with a Sweet Apple Chutney on toasted Multigrain bread). They toast these sandwiches and it was soooooooooo good.

We shared a bag of chips with it and a diet coke.

We did not get dessert because Mark wanted to check out the shop in Germany when we got there.

So we left after our meal in Norway and saw this cute fella:

Moving on, some toparies and miscellaneous items around the World Showcase:

(We ended up buying a flag to bring home with us about the beach)

We then approached Germany.

Although we did not eat at any of the booths, I did take a couple of pictures of menus when I thought of it:

Mark really had a taste for a glass of cold Apple Wine:

Unfortunately, they were not serving it. :furious:

So what does one do when they can't get that glass of wine? They have this instead:

I held his beer while he ran into Karamell-Kuche to pick himself up a treat:

He ate one right then and there and then we put the rest in my bag to have for later in the trip.

After Mark finished his beer, we proceeded on. And we came upon these fellows and their princess:

Up next, the Lady is a Tramp

you got some great photos of the flowers and topiaries! haven't done Malestorm in years! maybe in Nov!

lunch and snacks look yummy! the Karamell Kuche is my FAVORITE place in Germany...can't wait to stock up on my caramels!

OOOooo ... I love your flower photos. DH was so fascinated with the floating planters in the lakes there. He asked all kinds of questions. "Those look like they are made out of concrete, how do they float?" And "Do you suppose they have them anchored somehow? You know, so they don't all float round and bump into each other?" Also, "I wonder how they water them. Do they ride out there in a boat every day?" Life's great mysteries. Haha. I found it amusing.

I like the beer they serve in Germany. It is always so nice and cold and refreshing. And the caramel shop ..... ahhhh, I love that place.

Your first couple pictures of Norway made me giggle. The boy in the first one... all he needed was a stick and he could be your viking in the next. :rotfl:

Ok, so maybe my coffee is getting to me.

What a beautiful day it looks to have been. In so many of your pictures, the sky looks amazingly blue.

The topiaries are super cute. :goodvibes LOVE the dwarfs!!

By this time, we were getting hungry even though we'd had a big breakfast at Boma (walking will do that to you).

That's ok, calories don't count on vacation.

However, before we stopped for something to eat, we decided to ride Maelstrom because there was no line for it.

That's usually the argument that convinces me to ride it.:rotfl:

So we left after our meal in Norway and saw this cute fella:

"Cute."

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

So what does one do when they can't get that glass of wine? They have this instead:

That's how you think on your feet. :thumbsup2

I held his beer while he ran into Karamell-Kuche to pick himself up a treat:

Ahhh...beer and caramel, together at last.

Up next, the Lady is a Tramp

I love that troll topiary. I got to see him in March.

Bummer that you didn't try any of the food booths. But at least you got some pictures of the menus. Nothing on the Germany one sounded appealing to me.

Great pictures Kathy. So very happy to see Mr. Mark back in his silly hat glory.

That Cars area is much more elaborate than it was last year. Very cool. Love the troll topiary too. I don't remember seeing that last year either.

STOP!!!!!!!!!!

No, don't stop ...... I love the updates! It's just that you sneak one in whenever I am out the door. :rotfl2:

Love the topiaries and the Norway Sandwich - that is SO good!
Mark looks so happy with his beer. ;)

I have to say that they best be coming out with some new hats...we are running out of ones to try on
Hey, when it is a country known for vikings and... uh... vikings, what else do you expect to find there? :confused3 :rotfl:

We did not get dessert because Mark wanted to check out the shop in Germany when we got there.
That's a solid plan if I've ever heard one! :thumbsup2

Mark really had a taste for a glass of cold Apple Wine:

Unfortunately, they were not serving it. :furious:
:headache:

I held his beer while he ran into Karamell-Kuche to pick himself up a treat:
Well, it is a shame he couldn't get his apple wine, but the beer and caramel make a more than adequate consolation prize.

"Cute."

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

So what does one do when they can't get that glass of wine? They have this instead:

They go for a shot, of course?

What? Beer? So predictable! :rotfl2:

Wow - great update. Great pictures in Maelstrom!

Love all the cute topiaries. There are so many that I have never seen. I am so glad I have a tentative F&G trip for next year. All these pictures are making me want to go.

Your sandwich looks really good. Yum!

Yum, caramel snack!

I had more comments, but I'm tired and forgot them all.

Happy Mother's Day!

Posting this to all my friends who are REAL Moms! (My dinner is being prepared, so I may have to stop and continue afterwards)! DUH! How did I miss this was still a TR in progress...just with a different trip!
