 Hi Kathy!

I made myself a promise to get back on the DIS. Subbing here. I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up with you!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and happy belated birthday!! Had fun catching up this afternoon. Other than the Pop Warner annoyances seems like a pretty magical trip thus far. Each of you is just smiling ear to ear in each of the pics... so cute! :)

I agree with the group that Des seems like a nice girl... Dancing with the Dad... nice touch...:thumbsup2

Great dress for wedding...:thumbsup2

Happy Belated BD...:bday:party: Hope you had a really great day!

(Was in NYC... on your BD ....It was lots of fun...but my phone died around lunch so wasn't doing much FB... and yesterday was catching up with life stuff...lol... so didn't realize till today...)

Kathy, happy belated birthday and a very Happy New Year!!

you are at MGM of course, and going to ride TOT your favorite ride.:thumbsup2

that would be really neat to see remy there while eating...the kids would love that, will have to remember that for next trip.

was that the rest of the drink that nikki did not like? i thought it was the same cup she had in her dinning review.

Yes, MGM, but didn't get on TOT.

I bet Parker would get a real kick out of Remy.

I don't recall what it was...it might have just been water? :confused3

Awww the picture of Des and Mark dancing is so sweet! I can see why it would warm your heart.

Thanks, Lisa; it was a sweet thing of Des to do.

I love spending time around the World Showcase like that. The chair show at France is always very entertaining too.

Would you believe that is the first time we caught the chair show?

I regret not spending time at the miniature village in Germany this time. DW wasn't in much of a mood to spend a lot of time at the WS this trip and we really missed out on a lot of the details.:(

I suppose with two little ones, it would be hard to spend a lot of time in WS.

The picture of Des dancing with Mark is priceless. :thumbsup2

Thank you...I'll tell her you thought so.

Hollywood Studios... maybe you should have edited the film off of the bottom of the tree... :rolleyes1

I was trying to make sure you GUYS were all paying attention.

That picture of Des and Mark dancing is adorable!

You headed to Hollywood Studios of course, I have several pictures of that same tree from about a week earlier than you! :goodvibes

That was a great tree at the Studios...and we got some GREAT photopass pictures there which will be in the next update.

No opening at EPCOT??? I have not made one in a long time. I guess no reason to really rush now.

We are usually there, but I know it's been a long time since they had any kind of "special" something.

EPCOT is great for strolling around. I am due for a slushie- I have missed it the last couple of times.

You've missed a slushie the last couple of times? Shame on you...I think you should have at least two next trip.

New TT a bust? Yeah I can see where the design thing doesnt add to the ride.

Just wasn't a big fan at all.

I love the trains in Germany and stop every time to see any decorations.

I love all the detail they put into the train in Germany.

What a lovely afternoon y'all were having!

I'm glad to hear y'all liked Chefs. I really need to get over to the dining review. Chefs is on my "must try" list soon.

Looks like y'all got to DHS!

It was a perfecft afternoon; Chefs is really, really good.

Yep, DHS it was.

I love the pictures of Des dancing with Mark, that was so very sweet of her...I was in Italy getting a drink and walked up just as they finished their dance.

That's right...you only caught the tale end of it. I was shocked because my husband does NOT dance with me. :rotfl::rotfl:

The pictures of us with the Story Teller was in France, I think it was after we finished lunch.

You are right which has been confirmed by many.

You took great photos my friend...I love looking at them and reliving our trip

Me too....when can we do it again?

The boat ride to HS was great wasnt it, beautiful weather and gorgeous views

It was the perfect way to rest our feet and enjoy the ride; I liked that the kids sat in back and we got some alone time and I think Todd probably got a little snooze in there too.

Kathy, I just read something and thought of you and Mark, so I came over to post...and found a fabulous update. :flower3: Des becomes more endearing the more I hear/see of her. I am so thrilled you all had such a wonderful trip. Sounds like a fun weekend coming up with a very special birthday! When is the big day ~Please don't make me go back and look at last year to know? Happy Birthday Kathy!!! Oh and what I wanted to ask you...Have you heard of the “Year of the Ear” at Disney Parks? :listen::listen:

It was such a spontaneous thing on Des' part and just fit in perfectly with the day. I had a great birthday...thank you. I finally found that Year of the Ear...it definitely fits my darling husband, doesn't it?

Figures you would post an update after I got all caught up.

Well, if you visited more often you would't be so far behind. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Seriously, I spent the last two days catching up on everyone's reports.

Are you really going to make me try to keep up with another report to hear about your food? (no offense Nicki!)

Well, you should at least glance at it. The reviews of BOG might be of interest to you down the road.

Maybe Andy decided he should drink some water for once. ;)

I think you may be right.

How sweet of your DIL to dance with Mark. :dance3:

HOLD ON THERE...she is NOT my DIL and there is no sign of that happening anytime soon. Let's not rush it please...I already have one child getting married this year.

Love Disney boats. I wouldn't mind driving them around when I retire. pirate:

Mark was saying that when we were on the boat...maybe that's what he should do when he retires.

Looks like you are heading to DHS. :wizard:

Yes, DHS was where we were headed.

That is totally Mark! :lmao::lmao: :lmao::lmao:

They should of gotten Mark in their promotion material! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

You are right...I think Mark should do the promotion for this. :thumbsup2

Kathy said:
HOLD ON THERE...she is NOT my DIL and there is no sign of that happening anytime soon. Let's not rush it please...I already have one child getting married this year.
Sorry, got a little ahead of my self there.

Oh, and Happy belated Birthday and Happy New Year too! :)

:EDIT: I knew I wished you a happy birthday but I couldn't find it! LOLOL

I don't know if "enjoying" is the right word. It looks like he's about to spit out a tooth.

I know he enjoyed, but really don't know what he was doing there. Maybe someone cracked a bad joke? Were you there and used one of yours? ;)

:thumbsup2

It was a very sweet gesture.

My favorite was one time on the WDW RailRoad, the conductor told us not to stand up until the train and the station were going the exact same speed. :rotfl2:

Now that is funny. :rotfl2:

Looks like a wonderful start to your day! Glad to hear you enjoyed Chefs. I ate there once and didn't care for it. Attempting San Angel on our next trip! Such a nice photo of Des and Mark dancing! Such wonderful memories!

It was really good at Chefs (I've heard bad reviews mostly for dinner); unfortunately, neither Mark or I like Mexican fod so we've never been there--love the atmosphere though. It was such a precious moment of them dancing.

Great update

Looks like you had a lovely time at Epcot and fun and the Studios still to come :)

It was a lovely morning at Epcot, and the Studios was the icing on the cake.

holy moley your already at 11 pages???

Thanks for the invite! i am going back to read now!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

Mo, I'm so glad to have you here. I hope to finish up day two today.

I missed where you were starting off a new TR. Mind if I tag a long?
:wave2:

:welcome: delighted to see you again (you missed the last TR too...but who's counting? :rotfl2:

First Off I had to get caught up (you got a lot put up in just a couple of weeks).
Congrats on the successful surprise trip and bravo on the double surprise of getting a good chunk of the family in on it.

The surprises could not have gone better...I was very pleased with the way it all panned out.

Just finished reading the last update. Nice afternoon! We absolutely love just wandering around the WS; especially with a couple of those Grand Marnier Slushies in hand. Chefs du France is still on our to do list, but your update makes it clear that we need to bump it up a bit higher on the list.

Aren't those Grand Marnier Slushies the best? You must do Chefs...I was always hesitant, but we loved it (in fact, it's one of Mark's must do's for our August trip)

Given the perfect positioning of the pistol in relation to the seagulls on the shirt and the comment in the “caption bubbles”…

this picture is neigh on to hilarious!!!
:lmao:

Love it...great observation.

(and if the hat were on straight, it wouldn’t have been near as funny either :rotfl2:)

You are right! :rotfl2:

Looking forward to seeing the update about DHS that’s looming on the horizon and all the rest of the trip. I just love WDW during the holidays.

It was our first holiday trip and I'm so glad we got to do it.

Lord I need to get back down there some how.

Yes, it's been awhile...you need to go back.

Chefs de France... very pretty restaurant... and a nice lunch menu...:thumbsup2 Glad you enjoyed it...

It was really wonderful.

That looks like Pere Noel...the French Santa...:goodvibes

You are right.

Hmmm... Test Track...:scratchin we just made it on our last day... it was still in previews... I liked it... I didn't LOVE it... I missed the old "heat" and "cold" test sections and the Belgian Block/roadway surface tests... I agree it was closed for a long time and well I don't get it... If I had never ridden the original I think I'd have been more impressed with it... Eric felt it looked like something out of Tron... David liked it a little more because well he's 10 and getting to "design" your own car is kind of cool when you're 10...

I really think the younger boys will enjoy it.

I'm kind of wondering if that whole design thing is going to hold up lines though...:scratchin

It will be interesting to see if it does.

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

We did...we spent it with the kids and we had a great time.

Would you believe that is the first time we caught the chair show?
Hard to believe for a veteran like you! We only caught the last few minutes of it last year, I was really hoping to see it again this time.

I suppose with two little ones, it would be hard to spend a lot of time in WS.
Well, the objections actually came from somewhere else. :rolleyes1

Thank you...I'll tell her you thought so.
Some random guy from the internet thought that was a good picture of you dancing with Mark.

I'm sure she'll appreciate that! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

I was trying to make sure you GUYS were all paying attention.
Then you should sneak a random picture of a Starbucks cup in there somewhere. You'll find out who's paying attention then!!! :rotfl:

Have fun celebrating this weekend!

You got some really great shots around EPCOT! And the ones from the boat are beautiful. I like how genuine many of the shots are - you can really tell that you guys are enjoying yourselves.

How cute is Les Chefs? I love Remy!

Thanks, we had a really fun weekend with the kids.

That was the first time we took the boat from Epcot to DHS and we really enjoyed it. We were really enjoying ourselves.

I'm so glad we did Chefs...it was cute and good.

What a fun update. Nothing better than spontaneous dancing and a yummy lunch. Pretty much sums it all up right there.

It was perfect, Cynthia.

Kathy,

I got so far behind. But I think I'm all caught up. Looks like a fun time at Epcot! That storyteller was in France. We missed that one. We were waiting there, but got hungry and walked over to the Beach Club. Love the picture of Remy! You had a great table for viewing that show. The dancing pictures are great.

It was a wonderful morning at Epcot; we only saw/listened to one Storyteller so I couldn't remember that was the one from France. I love that Des did it spontaneously.

So nice to see "home". I miss CSR. August is our next.

We missed CSR too but, unfortunately, the stay just wasn't the same with the troubles we had. We'll be back at OKW in August.

Happy Birthday!

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I thought of Mark as soon as I saw that this morning. Wonder if all those ears will be a big hit and sell fast?

I wonder how the ears will do too.

How cool that you got to see Remy!

The boat ride to DHS looks very nice. I am always impatient and have never made it all the way between Epcot and DHS. I usually get off and walk.

It was neat seeing Remy; although he didn't stop at our table (I'm not sure why), I got him as he was going away.

The boat ride is probably just as long a ride as waiting for the bus which can take forever and then getting there.

Loved your update. :lovestruc Seeing Des dancing with your handsome hubby totally melted my heart too. ::yes::
I think she's as cute as a button!

She's a cutie and made my husband's day.

I've never had an ADR at Chef's, or whatever it's called now, might have to do that on my next trip, Mackie and I are looking forward to the new BOG menu, if we did Chef's I think we may burn out on French food.

You are going to love BOG (be sure to see Nicki's review of our meal there--fabulous.

The boat ride looks beautiful in the pictures, it must be even better when in person. That's a boat ride I've never done, must do it when we're there next time. :)

It's a nice relaxing boat ride and a nice way to get out of the heat and rest your feet.

To bad about TT, I was looking forward to it being even better than before, sounds like I won't be too disappointed since I liked it from before, as long as they didn't change the ride it's self, I'll be happy. :goodvibes

The ride is similar, but all of the stuff (heating/cooling, etc.) is gone.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas. :lovestruc

We had a very nice Christmas; hope you did too.

Kathy, luvin the TR, it's the first thing I look at when I go online to start my day (5:00 am right now). That was so cool to see Mark break out in a dance; Earlier in the trip he looked like he was doing the Michael Jackson thing, here in Epcot he has the Fred Astaire thing going on. :lmao:

Your meal at Chef's De France looked awesome. I have yet to go there and you have peaked my interest even further. I can't wait to read Nicki's dining review of it.:thumbsup2

You are too sweet. It's funny because my husband is NOT a dancer; I have to beg him to do a single dance at any function we go to that has dancing. :rotfl:

Chef's was very, very good...I was duly impressed (Nicki's already reviewed that and BOG).

KATHY! Thanks for the PM. :goodvibes have a wonderful trip and Birthday!

You are welcome, and thank you!

That would be great! :goodvibes We have a year, everybody should write Disney and Kathy should send pics...maybe they would give them a free trip! ::yes:::woohoo:

Wouldn't that be nice? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:wave2: Tim, I would ask you when you are going to read Lisa's MAW TR which I am almost (FINALLY) done with; however, we both know the answer to that. :lmao::stir::rolleyes1:duck::rotfl2:

Tim's just a tad slow. ;)

I saw some I liked Tink! Yes, I think people will buy anything, especially if they think it is limited....

I saw some I liked too.

I am enjoying your TR so much! Loved the EP shirts Mine and Des's is great too. Where did you get them both?

:wave: Thank you for posting, glad to have you here. I got the Mine Mine shirt in the dump shop after Nemo; I'm not sure exactly where Des got her shirt. I know she bought it at Epcot in February when she and Andy were there.

so happy you got to meet Remy! and had such a yummy lunch!
love the photo of Des and Mark dancing :goodvibes
we've never taken the boat from Epcot to DHS :confused3 something on our list to do!

hope you have a wonderful weekend with the kids and a very happy birthday too!

It really was a yummy lunch. I'm printing that picture of Mark and Des for his desk. It was a very relaxing boat ride.

We had a great weekend with the kids; thank you for the birthday wishes.

Great update! Have fun with M & A, enjoy your extended Christmas AND Birthday! Here's hoping:wizard: you find a dress for the wedding!

Thanks, friend. It was a wonderful weekend...nice having them basically to ourselves. And I did find my dress and very happy with it.

Love Andy's Christmas gift. How cool!

We had a similar table for our lunch at Chef's in April and between the great food, the chair dance, and Remy...well, it was just a great experience.

The pictures of Des dancing with Mark are so sweet!

And you're obviously off to DHS!

Hi, Tina; hope you are having a blast at Disney World and hoping the crowds have calmed down somewhat for you.

Andy did a great job on the Christmas gift.

It was a perfect table for our lunch. And, yes, we were definitely off to DHS.

Saw the dress on FB and it looks fab! Congrats! :thumbsup2

Thank you; I'm very happy with it.

Okay, this once I will allow myself to get excited about dress shopping........

:woohoo: on finding your dress! I know you are happy to have that behind you........ :goodvibes

Thanks, Marv. I am happy to have it behind me; now I just have to get shoes and a purse. :lmao:

Sounds like you had a good start despite a rough night. and nice to see that the quiet pool was quiet once again. ;)

Yes, too bad it wasn't quiet the night before when we were trying to sleep.

So do I understand it right at the new TT you design your own car, but the test drive part of it is pretty much the same as always? hmmmm :confused3

Yes and no; they did change the "inside" of the ride and the heat/cold things are gone, but the track is the same.

This is just such a great photo to record what I am sure was an unforgettable moment. so nice!

It really was a very sweet moment.

I love the shirt Des is wearing - I meant to keep it in the quote above, but that shot of her maybe outside Italy? is a great photo!

It was a great shirt; I'd love to have one but I didn't see it while we were shopping.

What a GREAT photo!!

I really liked that particular shot myself.

I love taking the ferry from the International Gateway to DHS. Joe laughs at me because he can walk it faster. I say why wear out your feet walking inbetween parks when you can wear them out inside the parks!

To me, it looks like an awfully long walk. I really enjoyed the boat ride and resting my feet. ;)

Day2December7130.jpg

pretty tree!

It really was a very pretty tree.

I had to pop right over to FB to see. GORGEOUS!pixiedust:

Thank you. :goodvibes

What a great dress and in my favorite color. :goodvibes

Purple is my favorite color too (my girls' dresses were lilac.

I am glad you crossed that off your list. :thumbsup2

It is such a relief to have my dress (now, I just have to not gain any weight before June 14!).

Wow I got behind !!!Loved the pix of Des & Mark dancing !! Glad you liked Chefs, I haven't been in a while so must put it back on my to do list!!!

Thanks, Rosie...it was very sweet the two of them dancing. Chefs is back on our list for our August trip.

I'm all caught up, thanks to your links! ;) Only a minimum of hat pictures, I'm kind of surprised. Some really nice photopass pictures though, and that was really cute when Des started dancing with Mark. It looks like you're all having a fantastic time. :goodvibes

Hi, Glenn. We were too busy at times for hat pictures, but more iwll come...I promise. We were having a marvelous time.

It is officially your Birthday (at least on the East Coast) so let me say....

And I can’t wait to see your dress!

Thank you, Judy (and as you know I PMed you about the dress).

:bday::bday: :bday::bday:

Happy Birthday Kathy!!!!!!

Thanks, Tim, for the birthday wishes.

First the most important thing... Happy Birthday Kathy!!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend with the kids! And your mother of the groom dress is so lovely!

Thank you, Brenda. It was a perfect birthday celebration with my babies.

As for TT - the new queue experience sounds similar to the build your own roller coaster thingie at Sum of All Thrills in the Innoventions pavilion. I would think that that type of activity would be better suited post-ride like the Mission Space ride has all of those activities in the dump area. :confused3 I guess I'll get to see it in February and weigh in on that one. :)

I'll be interested in what you think.

Just when I didn't think you could have any more adorable Mark photos with the crazy hats... there's patriot Mark with the toy revolver!! Gotta love it!

The child does love to play. :rotfl:

Happy Birthday to you!

(As I sing it to you off key and rather out of tune) :lmao:

You can sing off key to me any time you want. :) Thank you so much, Bob.

Happy Birthday My Dear Friend!!!

Hope your day is special!!!

Thank you, Marv...truly appreciate it.

Happy Birthday!!!

When I was about 9, I went to 4H camp for a week. I never once took a shower the whole time, but I swam every day. Who need to bath when you can swim, right? :rotfl2:

Another fun day! I do love the dancing picture too. And Marks pirate hat in America ...great picture.

Thanksn for the birthday wishes, Jen.

I remember doing that during a girl scout camp the one year I was in girl scouts.

It was a fun day, and I loved Des dancing with my hubby.

Glad you guys liked Chef's, we had a not so great experience there that left Brandon saying he didn't want to go back anytime soon! :scared1: (You'll read about it in my TR, but not til the very end, because it happened on the last day! :rotfl:) Remy is so cute, we saw him the first time we ate there and I thought it was adorable!

Sorry you had a bad experience at Chef's and Brandon doesn't want to go back (kind of like our experience at LeCellier and it won't be on the list for August again)

Isn't it fun just walking through World Showcase, stopping to eat and drink along the way and not really doing anything else? I love it! :thumbsup2

I could spend all of my Epcot time in World Showcase.

Awww, Des and Mark dancing is too cute! I love Des' hair, I keep thinking of dying my hair that color, but I don't want to keep up with the maintenance, you know? But I think her hair is so pretty!

She has very pretty red hair (I could never be a redhead, but she looks cute that way).

Someday I'll take the boat from Epcot to...somewhere! A resort or DHS, we just always figure it takes too long so we walk! Can't wait to find out what you did in DHS!

You really should...it's a nice relaxing trip; and it may be long, but so is the walk and at least this way you can rest.

Happy Birthday!!

:goodvibes Thank you for the birthday wishes.

party: :bday: party:

:cake: HAVE A GREAT DAY KATHY!!!

Thanks, Pat; I had a great birthday.

stopping by to wish you a very Happy Birthday!!!!

Thank you, Lisa. I'm so glad I got to spend it with the kids.

Happy Birthday Kathy!!

Thank you, Amy...I appreciate the wishes. :)

201431-disney3_zps664a7a7a.jpg

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY!!! Hope you have a great day! party:

Thank you so much, Stephanie.

:bday:HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY!:bday:

Thank you, Lisa.

:cake:Happy Birthday, Kathy!:bday:

Thanks, Karin.

Happy Birthday Kathy!!!

Thanks, Rosie.

Happy Birthday.. Hope it was grand!

Thank you; it was truly a wonderful birthday celebrating with my kids.

First of all, Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day. :goodvibes

Thank you; it was a great day.

Remy! I need to book lunch for DH and I there when we go in October. Ratatouille is his favority Disney movie and I think it will make his day to meet Remy. He pulled out the movie on Christmas day and that's what we watched during lunch.

You definitely should...it was very good/

It looks like you had a nice leasurely stroll through the World Showcase that afternoon.

We did have a nice stroll and loved all the decorations.

I love taking that boat ride between Epcot and HS. It's so relaxing and neat to see the Boardwalk and hotels. And I knew exactly where you were since I have a photo of that tree too!

I'm guessing we all got a picture of that tree. It is beautiful scenery on the boat ride.

All caught up after a week away from the boards!

Sorry the Pop Warner crowd was so annoying. It's times like this I wish I could carry a taser around.

I would have liked to have had something to pound them with!

Seems like the "new" Test Track is the same as the old one. Which is a bit disappointing. I guess if you liked the old one it's ok, but if it's going to be down for months you really hope they'll do something to wow you, like the new Star Tours.

You would have thought so; I do like the new Star Tours (although I seem to be getting a little queazy on it lately)

Des' international balloons shirt is cute--hadn't seen that one before. And the shots of her and Mark dancing are very precious.

The more I think about it, I think I saw that shirt Des was wearing when I was on my girls trip and didn't buy it; now I didn't see it and wish I had. It was a very touching moment her dancing with Mark.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday.

I did...thank you.

Happy Birthday and Happy New Year!

Thanks, Tink.

Looks like I am a day late but Happy Birthday!

Thank you very much...we celebrated through yesterday. :)

Hello from Long Island, NY!

I'm a new reader to your posts...DH and I going to the World January 23-30. So looking forward to it!

Staying at the Coronado. Your reviews of this resort sold me but good! Requested a room in Casitas #4.

I am enjoying reading/viewing pictures of your trip(s). Thank you so much for all your efforts here at the DIS! :thumbsup2

Wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy 2013!

~Carol~

:welcome: Carol, so nice to have you here.

I'm glad you are giving CSR a try; we LOVE Casitas 4 (despite my earlier statements in this TR...but that is ONLY because of the Pop Warner kids....Casitas 4 and 5 have always been favorites of ours.

I wish you and yours a Happy 2013 too.

So sorry to miss you birthday... but happy late birthday!!!

Love the dress! What an amazing and beautiful purple!!! I LOVE that color!

Thanks, Ann; no worries on the late birthday wishes (at my age, I sometimes try to FORGET I'm having a birthday!).

I'm glad you like the dress; I do too and love the color.

Happy belated Birthday!!

Love the dress!

And finally, Happy New Year!:goodvibes

Thank you for the Birthday and New Year wishes. :goodvibes

So glad you love the dress (the more people who love it like me, the happier I am with my choice).

Kathy, THANK YOU for the heads up that you posted about your beautiful dress since I don't FB. GORGEOUS!! The color of royalty! You will be so beautiful, as always! Thanks for sharing. :goodvibes

Thank you, Judy. I'm not sure I'll every fit the description of royalty, but I do love the color.

Beautiful Mother of the Groom dress!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
happy-newyear-images-1.png

Thank you, Lisa...I'm very happy with the dress.

The dress is very pretty!! I bet you are excited for the wedding!!

Happy New Year to you and Mark!!

I can't believe that I can actually say they are getting married THIS YEAR! 163 days to be exact. :)

May 2013 be a much happier, easier year dear friend!

Thank you, Judy; and the very same to you and your beautiful family.

Happy Birthday Kathy! pixiedust: I love the update - Des dancing with Mark is just the sweetest memory! Tell Andy I think she's a keeper! ;) Someone mentioned the PW crowd and making noise for them in the morning. Too bad you didn't stalk a few of them to see which rooms they were in and then you could do some door knocking and wake up calls!:rotfl2: The tree is pretty - can't wait to see where it is!

Thank you, Tammie. I will be sure to pass on the word to Andy. I should have done that with the doors as I know they did it to other guests.

Congrats on getting your Mom's dress. It can be a challenge finding the right one. Yours is beautiful!

I was stressing about it because I couldn't find anything when we went in August; and then I found a perfect dress in Florida but couldn't get my size. But in the long run glad I waited because I really like this one. Thank you.

I can't believe that I got behind again!

Happy Belated Birthday Kathy! Hope it was great!

Thank you, Shannon--it was great.

Love the photos of Des and Mark dancing, that's so sweet. I love Des already. Can we start a Dis-petition to make her a permanent part of your family?

Ummmm...as I mentioned to Tim, I would prefer getting through one son's wedding first before starting another one. :lmao:

I've officially subbed to Nicki's dining reviews. I have Les Chefs on the list for our next trip (this summer I hope!), so I'm eager to hear your thoughts. I figure it's a good meal for me and DH and a bonus "character" to please Maddie!

I really liked Chefs and Mark and I are going back in August because he really loved it.

Happy New Year to you and yours Kathy!

And the same to you, my friend.

That is an absolutely GORGEOUS dress Kathy!

Happy New Year to you!

D~

Thanks, D; I'm glad you like it. Happy New Year to you too!

I saw the dress on FB and it is as gorgeous here as the

Happy New Year to you and Mark!!!

Thanks, Rosie. :) Happy New Year to you and your family.

belated Happy Birthday and Happy New year

Thanks, friend. I hope you had a great New Year.

I am really enjoying yourTR. We are planning on going to WDW next year the beginning of DEc. I was surprised Pop Warner was at Coronado...I thought they would be at the Values. Other than at the hotel wer they in all the parks? How did it impact the lines in the parks? I just retired and have never gone at that time of year as we usually go the end of Jan to get out of ther cold in Vermont. But my DH really wants to see all the decorations, I do too, so we decided to go at that time. We plan to stay at POFQ and will have 2 or 3 rooms depending on how many kids come etc. I love all your pictures!!!

:wave2: it's lovely to have you here (I know I've seen you on Lisa's TR's).

Pop Warner does stay at the values and then they always get a moderate resort as well. This year, unfortunately, it was the Coronado (my guess is that because POFQ and POR were just recently renovated that they put them there).

They had NO impact on the parks at all. We basically walked onto everything with the exception of that Saturday and that is because it was the grand opening of the new Fantasyland and I think all the locals came in then.

The decorations were, in my opinion, worth the trip...they are simply beautiful.

Happy New Year!

love your dress for the wedding!

Thank you, Lisa on both counts.

A little late, .........

Thanks, Karin. :)

Kathy, Happy New Year to you, Mark and your family!!! party:

Thank you, Marv; I hope it is a good one for you too.

 Hi Kathy!

I made myself a promise to get back on the DIS. Subbing here. I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up with you!

Happy New Year!

Well, look who is here???? I've missed you around here, Sophia; glad to have you back (I'll have to go find your PTR again and see any updates).

Happy New Year to you and Joe from Mark and I.

Happy New Year and happy belated birthday!! Had fun catching up this afternoon. Other than the Pop Warner annoyances seems like a pretty magical trip thus far. Each of you is just smiling ear to ear in each of the pics... so cute! :)

Christine, thank you for the birthday and New Year wishes, and Happy New Year to you too.

The trip was perfect except for Pop Warner; but we didn't let them ruin our trip (just didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked).

I can't remember the last time we smiled and laughed so much...it was just so good to all be together.

I agree with the group that Des seems like a nice girl... Dancing with the Dad... nice touch...:thumbsup2

Yes, she is a very nice girl.

Great dress for wedding...:thumbsup2

Thank you.

Happy Belated BD...:bday:party: Hope you had a really great day!

Thanks; we had a good visit with the kids.

(Was in NYC... on your BD ....It was lots of fun...but my phone died around lunch so wasn't doing much FB... and yesterday was catching up with life stuff...lol... so didn't realize till today...)

No worries; hope you had a great time in NYC.

Kathy, happy belated birthday and a very Happy New Year!!

Thank you, MaryEllen, and Happy New Year to you, Joe and Katie too.

Sorry, got a little ahead of my self there.

Oh, and Happy belated Birthday and Happy New Year too! :)

:EDIT: I knew I wished you a happy birthday but I couldn't find it! LOLOL

And who is the old one of the two of us? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thanks again for the wishes for my birthday and now the New Year.

Yes, you got a little bit ahead of yourself on the Des being a DIL.

Hard to believe for a veteran like you! We only caught the last few minutes of it last year, I was really hoping to see it again this time.

It seems to be the one we just always miss in our timing.

Well, the objections actually came from somewhere else. :rolleyes1

Really? Now that is interesting. :listen:

Some random guy from the internet thought that was a good picture of you dancing with Mark.

I'm sure she'll appreciate that! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

I think she has finally figured out my DIS obsession and the people I meet. :rotfl2:

Then you should sneak a random picture of a Starbucks cup in there somewhere. You'll find out who's paying attention then!!! :rotfl:

Trust me, I would know who was paying attention if I did that...you guys all give me a hard time over my Starbucks addiction.

Very soon? :lmao::lmao:

I will try to catch up today & tonight. :surfweb:

Best be on the look out as I'm in the process of an update myself. :rotfl::rotfl:

When we were last together, we had just taken a boat ride and arrived at Disney's Hollywood Studios as all of you smart people had guessed. :goodvibes

We stopped by the beautiful Christmas tree at the entrance and proceeded to have photopass pictures taken (be prepared...there are several; and when I got the card downloaded, the photopass photographer had made magic and made an invidivudal photo of each of us from the couple photos):

I think someone was either: upset she didn't get to dance with Mark at Epcot or was so excited that she and I were going to have some "one on one" time together. You be the judge:

Now, I do have some hat pictures that should be inserted here, but they are either Nicki's or Des' and I don't have those uploaded to my photobucket. If I can find them and get them uploaded, I will post later in the TR.

I remember I was on the phone with our youngest son who had called to tell me that the date of the bachelor party/bachelorette party and bridal shower had changed and that is why I didn't get in on the hat picture taking.

In any event, moving on.

Once we were finally in the park, it was decided that Mark, Todd, Des and Andy would go do Rock & Roll Roller Coaster while Nicki and I shopped for one of their nieces. We parted ways with the group and went our separate ways.

I loved these in the window:

We went over to the little kids shop over by Animation Studios and after we were done there, Nicki and I got our "own" photopass picture taken:

Nicki had no luck finding anything for her niece, but we had another mission to accomplish. Nicki was after a very special cupcake at Starring Rolls.

Horror upon horror, they were closed. They had JUST locked the doors. Nicki and I pleaded with them to let us in as we were only after one thing and we would leave immediately. They let us in and Nic told them what she was after and they pointed to the counter where they were. But there were none....they were all gone. One of the CM's cheerily said, "hold on, I'll go get one from the back" and that is exactly what he did. I was given two free cookies as we exited (they were going to throw them away otherwise) and Nicki got her cupcake:

I have to say that those CM's went above and beyond for us and were just the sweetest people we met the entire trip.
