I keep reading similar posts about how the boy was able to remain still for over 4 hours. What about food? These parents better start facing the possibility of CPS investigating them and the possibility of having their children taken from them.

Some of the clips I have watched make me question his 'control' not only over the kids but his wife as well.

I'm thinking this quest for "publicity" may very well backfire on them..

I'm not surprised by the poll results...I think the more they've talked on tv the bigger the hole they've dug for themselves. Whether the balloon escaping was intentional or whether it was an accident and he then tried to cover it up because of the FAA, who knows, but there's just been too many "off" things with how they've acted on tv the last couple days to believe that they haven't been covering something up...it's all just been too bizarre IMO. If he was looking for media attention he certainly got it.

What I don't understand and maybe someone can explain this, but the video footage of the balloon being released clearly shows there is no basket. How can anyone looking at that think that any child could somehow be on the thing? The dad even realizes a basket has to be attached, that is why he came up with the story that the basket must have fallen off, but there was never a basket on it, the video proves that.

I haven't seen his Wife Swap episode, and I will not. I have seen others post about how the wife in his swap would catch him lying again and again, and call him out on it, and he just responded with more lies. He is not a good liar. He may have some acting skills, but a liar he is not, and he can just keep on lying, because the more he does, the more he is proving himself as one.

yes that is exactly what I thought, that they drugged the boy so that he wouldn't talk and make a big mistake by talking about a "show" again on another interview. In the interview with Meredith Viera he is sleeping against the Dad's chest and acting very out of it and then "comes to" to throw up...and what are the chanced of a kid puking in 2 seperate interviews? I am sure they drugged him with something to make him sleep and not talk or appear too ill to respond, but it made him sick. maybe even some ipetac?

I am watching part of the news conference now. It sounds like they have been planning this stunt for at least two weeks and the whole family was involved in the hoax.

I am so angry that I fell for this guy in the beginning and even defended his moronic you know what because I just can never believe that people will use their children to get attention.

The sherriff said they had encouraged the wife to go to a safe house.

I hope they throw this miserable piece of slime into jail for a few years to let him think good and hard about what he did.

Those poor boys haven't had much in the way of a role model.

And to top it all off, he met the wife in Hollywood when they were both in acting school.

On a more serious note, I hope some sort of charges are filed, CPS is called in to determine the safety of the children, and the parents are forced to pay every single penny that was spent during this search and rescue mission..

Well the money that Jon & Kate are making off of their children may have be what gave these wackos the idea to try for a reality show of their own..
