6 Year Old Trapped in a Balloon. Boy Found Alive - Hiding at Home!

A sibling said he saw the boy get into the craft Thursday morning, but CNN affiliate KMGH reports no one was found inside.

The Sky9 reporter at the field said that there was a "peg" visible under the balloon that looks likes at one time something was attached to do.

I think they said it traveled 80-100 miles from where is started from.

Expert says he has no idea how far the boy would have fallen--but he just gave a suggestion that maybe he was distraught at letting the balloon go and mabye he's under his bed or hiding somewhere.


He said it would not take long at all for this balloon to climb several thousand feet.

best case scenario would be that it was some kind of prank and the boy was hiding somewhere the whole time. Worst case scenario, i don't even want to go there. Praying hard!!

I really hope the brother is mistaken and the kid is just hiding so he won't get in trouble.

A mom here at work is thinking he's hiding behind a tree, up a tree, or under the bed. The thinking is that he's afraid he'll get into trouble.

She also can't wrap her head around him falling out, so...

I hope too... but it's been a couple of hours. I doubt he would stay in hiding that long, however and not wonder what was happening.

Sheriff's office is thinking--they say they have been looking from him on the ground (including under his bed) since the incident was reported. (just in case he never was in the balloon.)

If the boy was in it and fell out then this is a crime investigation. And even with no boy, the whole situation with all the Law Enforcement involved needs to be investigated.

Guy on the news also is wondering aobut the crime scene tape.
