We went to Sanaa for dinner on Christmas night. It was wonderful. My mother, my sister and I had the sustainable fish which was excellent. My husband had the New York strip which he said was cooked to perfection. He sent it back and they added a little more time to it and it was perfect. My little one had the braised short ribs which she enjoyed (though she eats like a bird). My older girls and my nephew each had the Chicken with red curry sauce and the coconut-curry lamb which they all said were excellent. We had appetizers as well. Many of us had the mustard seed crusted scallops which were just melt in your mouth. My mom and I shared the sampler for two with no pulled duck, just the cauliflower and samosas. The majority of us had Mango Lassi's for drinks which are not at all like the ones you have in Indian restaurants. We all had the dessert sample except mom who had the mango pudding. Service was excellent, setting was stunning.

Boma was delicious as always. It was our last dinner before check out the next day. This time we all seemed to concentrate on the soups and salads. We all really enjoyed the seafood gumbo and the cornbread muffins. The salads are really good and refreshing. We enjoyed the bread pudding and I personally enjoyed the passion fruit desserts and had a few. The frunch juice was excellent as always.

We also ate at Crystal Palace for dinner. I had the salmon, Quinoa and Shrimp salad, Broccoli, Mussels, Corn Chowder, and for dessert I had the bread pudding. All was fresh and good.

Ohana was delicious and we saw Wishes there. The noodles were really good as was the salad and broccoli. The shrimp was delicious. I didn't have any of the meats or the pork dumpling but my DH and DD's said all was delicious. The bread pudding was amazing.

We visited the Wilderness Lodge for the first time and ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe. We all enjoyed the food very much. We went for lunch so it was more subdued but just looking at the lobby in all it's Christmas splendor while dining was just lovely. The hubby thought the ribs were outstanding. The skillet looked really good. I stole some cornbread and mashed potatoes from the skillet and both were excellent. I had the Quinoa cakes which were OK, my mom had the whiskey glazed trout which was a small serving but good. 3 of us had the bread pudding which was not good. My dh had the chocolate cake which was tastey and mom had the cheese cake which was fine.

Youngest dd and I had lunch in the castle. Food was marginal, atmosphere was magical. The princesses were a bit hurried but we knew that they would be. I ordered the seared tuna salad (tuna was overcooked not seared). DD ordered the chicken nuggets. I had the creme brulee for dessert which was ok.

On our HS day, we had lunch at Sci-fi since the girls really wanted to do it and the CS is so lacking there. Everything we had was excellent except for the youngest dd's chicken sandwich ( she wasn't thrilled). The ribs were the best according to my older dd's and the shrimp pasta was very good. Plenty of large fresh shrimp. The oreo shakes were splendiforous!!! We didn't care for the apple crumble but youngest dd's sundae looked yummy and huge! If you go to sci-fi, don't let them sit you in the front row. It's to close to the screen. We did have a great time laughing hysterically at the corny old movie clips. The giant man is always so funny to me when he angrily screams "I DON'T WANT TO GROW ANYMORE!!!! We also crack up when he throws the giant hypodermic needle at the scientist who sticks him with it to try to stop him from growing.:rotfl: Some of these flicks may be a little to much for youngsters though.

For CS we ate at Wolfgang Puck Cafe which is by far the best CS on property. I had the salmon once and the veggie sandwich and sweet potato fries next. Hubby had the rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes which he enjoyed, our oldest DD's split the Meat loaf and the Chicken alfredo. They said both were really good. We had cheese cake, frozen yogurts with toppings and brownies all were good.

We also ate at Captain Cooke's in the Polynesian. We had the grilled cheese, stir fried noodles and dole whips. All were tastey and filling.

On our AK day we ate at Restaurantasauras (this one isn't great but indoor seating is a plus). We had shrimp po boys and the veggie sandwich. Nothing great but they had a good fixin's bar for your sandwiches.

We had breakfast pastries and drinks at Casey's corner on our MK morning. It was a darn sight less crowded than Mainstreet Bakery and the cinnamon rolls were just as ginormous. You also get two pastries and a drink for a CS breakfast at Casey's just as you do at Mainstreet Bakery.

Since we were staying in Jambo house, most mornings consisted of pastries and fruit from The Mara. Those were good. We did not get counter service there. My mother enjoyed a few cups of carrot ginger soup from there.
